Rhema is used in conjunction with doing because when the logos is spoken it produces the faith to create the doing. It is a simple truth. Faith comes by hearing, ever present continual, God doesn’t make this hard or complicated. Confession brings possession. Ever present continual. Philemon states the communication of our faith becomes effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing that is in you. The word of God has been written on our hearts and becomes effective, active, faith when and as we speak it.

This helped me out so much! Rhema is doing the logos! What's the easiest way to understand this? Look here! So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 YHWH himself explains that EVERY word turns into action for Him! We should be no different!

Simple yet deep! Logos=John 3:3 - you must be born again…. Rhema= Lord I am a sinner, I receive you into my life!

For the brothers and sisters out there. What is the difference between rhema and logos as per the Bible and as per Kenneth Hagin teaching?

While I applaud Curry Blake's critique of the Rhema/Logos error, he, unfortunately, misses the mark towards the end. He states that rhema is the word that you do and once acted upon, faith comes. This is backwards. In correcting one error he makes another. Rhema in Rom 10:17 refers to spoken words and sayings. It is through hearing that faith comes. Faith comes first then action. We see this all throughout the Word of God. James said that faith without works is dead. If faith came as a result of acting then nobody would ever have faith without works! Again, this is backwards. When you hear the Word the faith comes first. But whether you act on it is up to you. Though Curry misses it here, he is right in his overall assessment that the charismatic movement has hijacked these Greek words, misunderstood and misapplied them, and has created a doctrine that is neither accurate nor defensible from the original Greek scriptures.

I refer you to another teaching by CB on KZfaq ”Faith Acts“ Implicit is if one receives faith by hearing And does not act on what the HS is saying, then it’s just mental assent

Right. We are perfect in Christ until or unless we decide to renounce the Blood of Jesus. Who would do that??

I have found the confusion for me has been in the scripture that "speaks" of how faith is derived. In that scripture it speaks of also of the hearing. Hearing requires the perception of a sound. It is in that voice the word for "word" is rhema. Faith by the rhema of God. The recordings of when Jesus spoke to the people were of the same rhema word. It was when they heard the Word of God that they received their blessing. Could you please help me understand why it doesn't say faith cometh by the logos?faith comes by hearing- I understood you to say faith cometh by acting, then you will recieve faith. Seems to be a big difference. The word "healing" is actually emphasized twice in the same scripture.Rom 10:1717 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. KJVNT:189NT:189 a)koh/ akoe (ak-o-ay'); from NT:191; hearing (the act, the sense or the thing heard): Also, why does Jesus say I "only" do what I see the Father do, and I "only say" what I hear the Father say? These are both present tense. Isn't the whole purpose of sacrifice of Jesus' sacrifice to bring us back into relationship with the Father? I can go to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and know it is good to heal someone("like God"). Knowing in the intellect isn't faith, is it? But I am to ignore that temptation and go directly to the tree of life. Doesn't this put our reliance upon the direction by the spirit of God. Did not Jesus have to deny his own will("to be like God").Why is there a distinction if we don't need rhema. Let's just act on what we know.I am not trying to argue, but these are questions I sincerely have. Thanks for your help. Please how can you say Logos becomes Rhema after we do it, that would be the same thing to say that that which inspires people to say Jesus is Lord is not good Rhema enough. Spirit plus Rhema make a valid confession.

Enlightenment Revelation Understanding But in church this is called rhema However definition is exactly the same as logos Teaching that does not jive: perform only scripture that the HS quickens to you.

Repectfully, I don't agree with the blanket process you describe. When I believed on Jesus Christ; the living word HE lead me everywhere I went Jesus governed my life, BEFORE I read the written word. When I began to read the Bible everything that the LORD Jesus was having me do I found in the written word. My life became easier being lead by the holy spirit of GOD.

Ditto. Same testimony here. I do feed upon the written Word of God, but I have had more and more understanding on the same scripture as time went on. It has only been by the new revelation, inspiration, or rhema that I could act on it in faith.

You as well are adding your own ideas which is fine until you try to pass them of as Gods word. Also why do you pronounce it lowgaas?

Good sermon. Though you mixed the two definition of the logos. Going back to Vine dictionary "The significance of rhema (as distinct from logos) is exemplified in the injunction to take “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,” Eph. 6:17; here the reference is not to the whole Bible as such, but to the individual scripture which the Spirit brings to our remembrance for use in time of need, a prerequisite being the regular storing of the mind with Scripture." In this we notice that logos is the whole Bible. The concept the speaker is referring to is how we build doctrines, which is also the word logos. So, logos means the whole scripture and the doctrine we build from the scripture using the word of God in its context.

Once saved you're always saved has nothing to do with God being an optimist. It has to do with the fact that God chooses you and not the other way around. I know this is not the topic here, but let's be clear in this. I can't lose my salvation. If you have genuinely been saved you won't lose it.

+hadiyusuf Calvinism is not biblical, it injects itself for its believers into scripture... Scripture says Jesus died for all, but still calvinists do not believe that can be true...

@@bkahlerventer thanks for sharing and responding. I believe calvinism is totally biblical. We can sit all day long discussing your points and my points and you may be able to convince me or the other way around. What really matters is the fact we both believe in the word of God and want to obey it. The whole calvinism vs arianism discussion is a waste of our time and we should focus on what is important. Bless you

@@Joyyarns I used to be a calvinist, I used to inject my calvinist beliefs into scripture. So it is really not about what I, you or another person believes, it really is just about scripture. Period... I was really ignorant as a calvinist, but as soon as I started trying to get things consistent between scripture, my beliefs as calvinist, and real life experience as christian... This signalled something was false, it turned out to be calvinism... Calvinism claims Jesus died to save the elect. Bible teaches Jesus died for the sins of the world. If calvinism is true, and calvinist gospel is true then bible is false, and biblical gospel is false... They actually clash....

@@bkahlerventer as I mentioned in my previous post, we can spend a lot of time discussing this. I was never a calvinist and just like reading the scripture it struck me how on earth I haven't see it. The point remains that such sects and beliefs can either unite or divide. I don't really care if you're a calvinist or not. All I care is that you're a Jesus follower and bible believing Christian. This makes you my brother and for this I love you so much.
