My dad use to fish with Roland Martin down in Florida and when Roland had tournaments in SC my dad would show him tips at certain lakes like Lake Murray in Lexington SC! Roland and Scott are both good men! Roland has got to be the most intelligent man when it comes to bass fishing!

It probably wasn't illegal then but getting tips from locals now will get you ejected from tournaments nowadays if they catch you. I think it's weird because some of the pros are fishing their home lakes during tournaments

Wow… Something I’ve never thought about. Scott having to fish in his father’s shadow. I can only imagine how many times he’s heard or seen, “well if it wasn’t for his daddy he wouldn’t be here” and in a biological aspect that’s true but in a hard work and passion aspect it’s all been attributed to Scott Martin. Rooting for you big time this year Scott.

If you need something to watch in between episodes of this they did this same series following Jacob Wheeler and Dustin Connell back in 2019 on the first year of the Bass Pro Tour

Scott is a LEGEND! Same as his father and I believe HILLARY, will also get there in time. I have learn so much about bass fishing from Scott and Mark Zona and Kevin van dam and all other legends or over all BASS CLASSICS and tournaments. So, Thank u Scott! SMC is one of the best to be in the water in this time we are in right now. He is just one of the coolest dudes I think personally. I really like Scott , however I think he got caught up in his fathers shadow alittle to much , all the cliques we’ve all heard an it’s a shame he seems like a really nice fellow , I’m fortunate to live on the Tennessee river in Florence Alabama area and for to see an listen to him talk here few year back , I hope he keep doing well and maybe one day wins the classic , I believe he’s a great person , think it does what we all should do an that’s help others on in this world.
