If it was that lose to double ur money under 90 minds why are billionaires holding stocks for years to make 10-25%. Agreed. Making money in sports betting in the long run is near impossible. You can have insane positive cash flows, but it will always reverse itself at some point. A losing streak is guaranteed. A winning streak is guaranteed. The cycle continues.

You can’t win any type of gambling venture in the long run unless you have a definite mathematical edge you can sustain over the long run. This is why casinos are billion dollar empires. Bernoulli’s Theorem works in the casinos favor. Some games can be beaten but only a truly disciplined professional gambler who understands the math. In black jack, that would be card counting. In roulette, that would be finding a biased wheel that has not been properly calibrated. In sports betting or in horse racing, that would be information not known to the public or significant information inferred from statistical study of the available data but not widely known or extracted by the public.

Thank you for all of the content you've provided. I use your tracking spreadsheet and macros and love the results it's provided me. Really helps ID weaknesses and strengths in my model. Quick question-- I am as anti-parlay as it gets, I understand the math behind the payout vs risk. I haven't placed a parlay in over a year but as I looked into my models I had an interesting question. If my model has strong edges on multiple games and the overall edge for them all winning is greater than the payout for the parlay, is that then worth a bet? I assume no, because it is still a higher EV with individual bets and the juice with them, but theoretically, if my model had the probability of 3-0 on a given 3 bets at +450 and the parlay would pay +600, it would seem like it's +EV to parlay, but I'm curious about your thoughts. I get it man. Hard truth. Those that know, know; and those that refuse to accept these truths, are most definitely losing money betting on sports. Handicapping is a sun up to sun down job. There are no "breaks" in the action for handicappers unless they are self imposed. I just became profitable a few months ago on a week to week basis after losing approximately $50K in my first 9 nine months on the job. I just won half of that back in the past week. I don't take this for granted. It's a special time for me but I'm not under the disillusionment that I won't get my ass handed to me by the books tomorrow. I haven't "made" it. I'm just getting rolling. Keep preaching my man. I appreciate a constant reminder that this is one of the most difficult jobs on the planet. For those throwing shade at this guy ask yourself when the last time it was that you spent 12 hours in front of a screen just so you could refine your game. Takes a rare breed. I do wanna fact check the 99%. It's not unbelievable, I just didn't know it was that high of a percentage. Thanks man.

Fun fact: There are very few ways you cannot lose money by playing sports such as NHL Hat tricks challenge, NHL brackets challenge and NBA brackets challenge. You can win big bucks if you have sufficient knowledge of NHL and NBA. However, these types of games are for people are over 18 and reside in USA and Canada only.

I grew up 70 miles from Vegas. In 1965 we had to turn on lights to play outside after dark. In 1970 we had no need for lights, the lights of Vegas lit our backyards. Yet most people said that they won or broke even while in Vegas. If that were true, the lights would have been getting dimmer not brighter. The brighter lights was evidence that people are too prideful to admit loss in Vegas. Refusing to admit loss in gambling is what fuels the legal crime of cheating the willing.

He’s pretty much spot on. In my opinion it’s like doing a degree and get yourself educated. You’ve got to study the markets and then focus on a specific market you can see an edge. Paper bet on excel before placing money down and then let it run a while before putting money down for real. You can make money gambling but it isn’t exciting. Make money from bookies consistently you’ll get restricted or banned. Then that’s a whole new adventure.

I agree with 1, 2 and 4 but number 3 is incorrect. I'm a professional gambler and whilst stats comes into my strategies I don't have an actual statistical model. You're American betting on American sports so number 3 may be correct for betting on those type of sports with most pros on your side of the pond betting on handicap lines. However, I bet on horse racing. I look at replays, to see if a horse needed further, didn't like the going, or what looks like a plot job (jockey deliberately not trying to get a better handicap mark in the future). Stats does come into play when looking at pedigree and whose progeny wins at certain distances, going and when they have developed at certain ages. Also draw bias is key. Trainer/jockey stats are also slightly considered but I'm not a big believer in that side of things. Can definitely agree with your statement on how much time and effort is needed. When I say what I do, I either lie and say I'm an investment strategist (technically not a lie) because when you say you're a pro gambler it's followed by the same annoying questions with half the people not believing you and the other half judging you thinking it's an easy life.

"Never bet more than you can afford to lose". It's that simple. Sports betting is gambling just like poker or roulette is. The thing is that it should be considered as "try your luck and win big" and not "hehe quit your job and become professional bettor". I love watching sports, especially soccer. I watch Premier League. Every week there are 10 games. I just make a simple analysis on every game (it takes less than 2 mins), I decide the outcomes of the games,and bet $1 on the whole bet. The odds are crazy big and I can win big prizes if I predict all of the games. And if I don't I'll just lose $4 for the month, yes 4 bucks, for example 4 bucks in my country are worth of a cigarettes packet. And the best part is that I get even more excited when I watch my favourite sport.

As a matched bettor it is easy but then you run out of offers, it is also possible to dutch some races but requires looking very early in the morning when the markets have not fully formed and there are huge discrepancies between bookies and exchanges. And I know nothing about the teams or horses, as long as the numbers work it is a go, and if the numbers don't work there is no wagering at all.

It worse than you think. I was betting on a +300 odds on a game. I asked them how much the payout was. Then stepped to the side. They reduced my odds to +135 when I put the bet in. I’m sure that’s illegal!

Takes up a lot of time but then again keeps me safe and out the way of social atrocities. I’ve been gambling over 430 days on 20$ deposit cause the system I stick too. win and lose all the time . I’ve been looking into how sports are rigged can’t really find anything except magnets in the nba. I parlay the pool at 20 cents on multiple tickets. 20$ in 20 cents 100 bets on 8 game ticket will double money. I win constantly with 10 games. 14 games at 20 cents pays 1000-5000 every time study shows . But 14 games needs more tickets 80$ worth . and that cost all my time and still lose by one game. There no way out. we’re gamblers until the end .....

As unfair as this sounds. Sports betting is unfair for the poor person. A $100 bet will not change financial situation. A person that can afford $1,000 + bets will see profit if know what their doing. It's 50/50 at the end of the day. Yesterday Packers won. Somewhere someone celebrated a $100 win and somewhere someone celebrated a $100,000 win. See the difference.
