Thank you so much John, for your kind words! It is truly appreciated and means a lot! I wish you good luck in your treatment, but just beware that there tends to be a lot more side effects doing stem cell therapy overseas as they all use expanded cells which lead to changes in genetic expression and cell degradation. It may sound like you are getting a lot of cells, but the quality and potency has declined due to cell expansion into too many generations... I have had patients who experienced 2 months of extreme fatigue from treatments in Mexico who came to me and experienced absolutely no side effects with greater clinical benefits using our unexpanded (native) cells...

Wow! THANK you, Dr. Kong! I have been researching SCT for our 8yo ASD son for the past 2 weeks. And as you stated, there's a lot of info, always changing and difficult for doctors let alone regular folk to understand and comprehend. Obviously SCT is not FDA approved in the States for ASD, so we will have to go out of the country. But your video has helped with my being on the fence with cord and blood marrow cells as well as IV or IT. I wish I found you weeks ago, would have saved me many sleepless nights. When we take our son, I will moat likely have treatment as I am diabetic, my eyes are aging quickly and for my knees. I sound like a hot mess! I'm an older mom with 8yo twins, so I need to last for a while. Again, thanks so much! I subscribed and will share in my numerous FB SCT groups. Regards, Mary

Dr Kong, thank you for a very clear and easy to understand description as to how the MSCs work in the recipient's body. I do have questions: (1) As we age, our own body's immune system as well as our local stem cells age too, hence, not as healthy and vibriant as when we were younger. MSCs being injected into the aged body, serving as great communicator to tell the inmmune system and the local stem cell to get to work. My question is how does the age factor in the equation. (2) For anti-aging purposes, how does MSCs thearpy help a person in their beyond eighties? I see people in their 40s, 50s, 60s and even 70s might sound like a promising thing to do. What is your thoughts on the population of "oldest-old" group to receive anti-aging stem cell treatments or other age-related diseases treatment for that matter ? (3) In any kinds of treatment, as promising as it sounds, there is not without risks. What is the risks involved and how to balance the risk and benefit in an anti-aging stem cells therapy approach ? You are awesome. I appreciate your talk.

Hi Dr. Kong, Thank you for your informative talk! I found your discussion on WJ-MSCs particularly intriguing. I've been researching this area myself, and I've come across conflicting information regarding the expansion of these cells. You mentioned that WJ-MSCs may lose their homing and engraftment capabilities due to expansion. I'm curious to explore this further, so could you please share the scientific articles that explain this phenomenon? Additionally, I've read that expanding WJ-MSCs until passages 5 to 7 is beneficial. At passage 1, the cell pool comprises a mixture of MSCs, epithelial cells, and other cell-types, making later passages more homogeneous. Moreover, most clinical evidence seems to support the use of cells within passages 5 to 7. Could you elaborate on this aspect and perhaps share any specific studies or research findings that support this viewpoint? Lastly, I'm intrigued by the conference you mentioned where it was presented that increasing the number of cells tenfold yielded less effect compared to non-expanded cells. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide more details about the research presented at this conference. It seems like a crucial piece of information that could significantly impact the way we perceive cell expansion strategies in WJ-MSC research. Thank you in advance for your time and insights!
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 8 ай бұрын
Appreciate your thoughtful comment... I presented some of the evidence in some of my talks... You will find this presentation helpful. Toward the very end, I discussed the expansion issue, and showed a graph of a study specifically about cell expansion decreasing efficacy that was presented at a conference... Are All MSCs Created Equal? ‪kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ldmiotGVrrvacX0.html‬ Another clinical example is a 9/11 responder who received expanded MSCs in Mexico but got extreme fatigue for 2 months as a result (same reaction from 20 other patients at the same time at that clinic) and some improvements 2 1/2 months later, rather than absolutely no fatigue with clinical improvement in 3-4 days... see this case study on American Academy of Integrative Cell Therapy here: aaict.org/case-studies/post-9-11-lung-disease/ There are various published studies on the issue of cell expansion, and you can find them by doing literature search. You can also access these resources if you would like to take the Fundamentals of Stem Cell Practice course through AAICT.

@@bradOne It is costly, so are a lot of medical treatments, including many that carry significant side effects. I think it may be a matter of priority for many, But I agree the cost could be a barrier for a lot of people. There is no guarantee that the cost would come down even if the FDA approves it, as it costs on average $2.3 billion for a drug company to bring a drug to market, and they want to recoup that money… which is why gene therapy drugs could run as high as $750,000 per dose. That can be helpful. At our clinic, we recommend and perform ozone therapy prior to stem cell treatment, which I believe is superior to just hyperbaric oxygen treatment which pushes more oxygen through the skin. With ozone therapy we ozonate the blood directly - not only will the patient get more oxygen in the blood (ozone therapy utilizes gas combination of about 98% oxygen and 2% ozone), he/she will also get the profound benefits from the ozone gas - boosting the immune system, increasing cellular energy by improving NAD levels, detoxifying, improving oxygen delivery, improving antioxidant activities, killer microbes etc…

@@JoyKongMD just by you replying to me on here like this furthers what my heart is telling me to do, and that I stumbled across your videos for a reason. God has a plan and you might just very well might be part of that plan to wellness! It was expressly concerning that in a cultured environment that many of the MSC’s aren’t that at all, but rather daughter cells of no benefit. So you are indeed not getting what you are paying for in the counting of what they claim her needs to be as 200mil. I also found the theory of untouched MSC’s being more viable and rigorous in their natural state vs lab cultured to be very compelling. I’m sure many of the 200mil cells will potentially deteriorate and die in quick order, when administered, if they’re even viable when heated prior to treatment. That seems to send the wrong message to surrounding cells in and of itself. It’s fascinating information and I certainly want a consult! I’ll be calling the office today to arrange a consult. @JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD Ай бұрын
There is definitely great evidence that stem cell therapy can be very helpful in osteoarthritis of various joints. As far as torn labrum, how well the cells can help may also depend on how severe the tear is. Sometimes the tear is too large to just rely on cell therapy, and surgery may be necessary. That said, stem cells right before or right after surgery can greatly accelerate the healing process, and improve the surgical outcome.

Hello Dr. Kong, I have heard from Dr. Centeno that there are no umbilical cord at stem cell therapies that actually inject living stem cells because the process of cryofreezing the stem cells and shock thaw process prior to injection destroys most of the stem cells if not all. What is your thought on this?
@JoyKongMD

What Chris Centeno said is absolutely untrue. This misinformation continues to perpetuate unfortunately. It is possible that some products are not processed proficiently thus has lower live cell counts. However, the product I use (and formulated) goes through 3rd party testing, clearly showing viable cells at a high percentage. Some people in the industry has ulterior motives, attacking people who are not doing exactly what they are doing - it has turned into a nasty game for some, who mislead patients and damage the cell therapy field as a whole. Be very careful with the information you see floating around on the internet and look at the motives behind their statements. I try to provide honest information to patients. Doctors and scientists are just people, and can engage in activities that do not speak to their better self, and the sad part is that patients suffer as a result.

Hi Dr Kong, my wife has early onset Alzheimers, and she first complained about brain fog, and forgetting things, her primary Dr dismissed her as "naturally getting older". The second symptom she got was hallucinations, that was on 11/20/21, right before her 47th birthday. It took about 8 months after blood work, pyschiatrists, multiple drs, CT scans, pet scans, before we ended up in memory care who gave a diagnosis. Now when we go to Dr she is in denial, she believes there is nothing wrong with her. I am not certain, but I tend to think the only way she would get treatment is to be restrained or under anesthesia. Is that something you would do, or can you recommend someone that can assist. Her name is also Joy, she was a programmer, also very smart.. Thank you.

Question, native cells. Are these differentiated? I believe the concerns and the reason these cells should not be infused or injected native is that it may lead to less desirable actions these cells may take. Would you mind sharing a link to this study that shows native MSC cell safety and efficacy?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. Native stem cells are NOT DIFFERENTIATED, which is why they are called native cells. When cells are expanded (grown in culture outside the body), there is tendency that they would start to differentiate, as often occurs because cells perceive stress, as these artificial cultural media are often perceived as stressful by cells. When cells are stressed, that's why they tend to differentiate, producing what's called "daughter cells." These are differentiated cells, and they tend to express surface markers that is consistent with the donor, which may be recognized by the recipient as foreign, leading to rejection type of reaction... these are fairly well accepted scientific phenomena...

What happens if you do get a reaction with your treatment? Do you have anti rejection protocol?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 10 ай бұрын
Of course. We have the necessary emergency medicine available. I have not seen a true "rejection" reaction, likely because our cells are rich in very young MSCs (from umbilical cord) and they have never been expanded (grown to large numbers in a culture). The most I have seen is some flushing and lightheadedness that responds quickly to slowing down of drip rate...

Thank you for your comment. Infections can come from poor processing and irresponsible operations, which has unfortunately happened with a few bad players in the regenerative medicine space. If things are done according to correct protocols, it’s almost impossible to have “infections.” It’s really quite basic. Kind of as fundamental as washing your hands before preparing a meal… Just a note of caution…. the autologous stem cell space (using a person’s own) will have a lot less control over the sterility process, as there is almost no professional clean rooms used or adhering to any ISO-5 or cGMP standards in general. I need to put out a video just about the processing of the cells from the umbilical cord - the process is very stringent, done by tissue banks, according to the same standards as organ transplantations. The kind of unscrupulous operations of several companies in the field is what prompted me to start my own stem cell company Chara Biologics. The product is uniquely designed to contain ALL the therapeutic components of the birth tissue, with cells from the cord tissue, cord blood and amniotic membrane. As far as I know, we are the only company that provides a product with this type of comprehensive profile. I have explained the processing of birth tissue products in various podcasts I have done. But I will put out one just on this subject to clarify. Thank you for your support.

According to this article published in 2023: (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9838137/) Pre-clinical trials have shown improvement in various models of neurodegenerative diseases following stem cell transplantation, including animal models of spinocerebellar ataxia types 1, 2, and 3., and cell-transplantation therapies are reported to have transient but beneficial outcomes in spinocerebellar ataxias. This article may also be helpful: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5657707/ The bottom line is the cell therapy has a potential to briefly improve symptoms and possibly slow down the disease progression. In our clinic, we use multiple integrative modalities to enhance the benefits of cell therapy, and use laser technology to help guide the cells to areas that need repair.

@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD Жыл бұрын
You can, although you may want to save that cord for the baby herself, which is the main purpose of saving the cord... Since we are not counting on the cells to become your own tissue as part of their main therapeutic benefits, it makes no difference whether you’re using cells from somebody that’s related to you or not. Your granddaughter is only 1/4 identical to you. Since the actions we are counting on is not related to where the genes come from, we can use young cells from complete strangers and get great benefits. Also, how the cells are extracted makes a lot of difference, and the types of cells included in the final product… Maybe these 2 videos can help… How Do Stem Cells Work? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r7-nqLSgppqpl2Q.html This. Dr Joy. From an uneducated position but seemingly logical. I think I understand your presentation pretty clearly. I do wonder about EMCELL in the Ukraine treating with area specific cells from the fetal cells they use and instead of intravenous directly into the blood stream they utilize the stomach tissue for the sake of the stem cells acclimating to body temperature as they absorb . They also say. Organ specific cells travel to that organ for regeneration. I just learned about you so I haven't had a chance to examine your channel thoroughly. Do you treat Veterans of the US military? If so ,do you have a web page I can access ? Thank you

@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 8 ай бұрын
Hi thank you for your comment. Before deciding on whether or not a particular treatment may help a condition, one needs to find out what the causes are for that condition to determine if the treatment is the right fit... We need to understand why you feel your brain is not functioning as well as before the transfusion... Was there an immune reaction to the transfusion? Did the transfused blood come from someone with a unknown condition, who carried harmful microbes, or was vaccinated with a vaccine that could cause issues? Stem cell therapy could help modulate and boost the immune system, reduce inflammation, fight microbes directly, and promote tissue repair and regeneration... When looking at above mechanisms of action, it shows that stem cell therapy could potentially help someone in your situation... Hope this helps.

Dr. Kong, How much would one's eGFR increase after your stem cell therapy session with a patient that has Late Stage CKD a GFR of 18, and what does post-treatment look like as far as diet goes after the stem cell treatment. Everyone's reaction to treatment will be different, and there is no guarantee. @@jojomn1577thank you for your comment. Sorry for the late reply, as many times I'm not notified of new comments. As to responses from Stem Cell Therapy when it comes to chronic kidney diseases, in my clinic, I've seen patients either stabilize (I.e. no further deterioration), or reversal of the condition in a desirable direction. There is active research from around the world how many disease conditions. Just because the results may not be out, that doesn't mean that what we know of how the stem cells help the body does not offer us significant hope. I would say for severe and rapidly progressing conditions, it is worthwhile to give Stem Cell Therapy a try, since conventional treatments offer very little hope. When it comes to dietary and supplement changes, I think those can be quite important, which I incorporate the treatments we provide at our clinic.
