Well said. The new outfits show the passage of time. The ministry is supposed to last about 3 years, so the outfits help reflect the time. And yes the outfits can show their growth.

It's funny that the sadducee's name is literally the name of the place where the demoniac came from "Gadara". I thought that was neat.

Comments from the shot from above... Thaddeus and Thomas seem to have the same purple, Little James and Judas look like they have the same neck scarf(one rolled one folded), Matthew also seems to have a different collar added. Any comment on specific colours. I understood from Brandon Robbins that blue as in the blue of the tsitsi is the colour for priesthood. Judas has blue.

The Perean village is probably Bethany or Bethphage which is from where Jesus sent the 2 disciples to find the donkey for his entry into Jerusalem

Well, it doesn't look like Peter's costume changed either so I guess he is as close to perfect as he can be.😂😂 The sideburns that the Sadducee is wearing are called payes (in Yiddish and pronounced pay-iss) or "payot" (in Hebrew)

I remember reading that Mother Mary died approximately 11 years after Jesus, so when Mary Magdalene came to see her in The Messengers, that would have been close to her time of death, yes? She was sick.

There will be many stories unfortunately that the show will not be able to go over. Just not enough time for every moment. So I won’t be disappointed, but I do wish we could see everything.

Purple is very expensive in that time frame. You would have to be very wealthy to afford anything made with purple since the color is associated with royalty and rich living.

Brandon, I love your explanations, but am confused about the timeline of the show. If Season 5 is supposed to cover Holy Week and the show is to be seven (or eight, I’ve heard Dallas say both) seasons, what is season 7 going to cover? (I’m assuming Jesus’ death will be the end of season 5 and the resurrection to Pentecost being season 6), is season 7 going to be the start of the church with the Apostles or is my timeline completely off? …if I’m right, not sure what season 8 would be…

So Dallas has actually spoken about this quite a bit. Season 5 is Holy Week, season 6 is when the.Crucifixion happens. My guess is that season 7 is the beginning of the early church and possibly leading into another series.

The resurrection (season 7) would have a lot of material to cover/tying up some of the many storylines (many of which are not in the Bible) & season 8 could be Pentecost & the launch of a "new" series... Although the Chosen 11 (minus Judas of course) would still feature prominently in a series about Acts, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't just be a continuation of The Chosen? Unless the focus would then change to Paul? But then again, when you read Acts, there's plenty going on & includes way more than just Paul 🤔🤔🤔

The argument/discussion between the Pharisee and Sadducees should prove to be a good scene. But such discussions should be a cautionary tale for us, as well. Compromises in our faith and life can creep in, just as they had with the Hebraic system of that time among the Pharisees. The Sadducees had long since sold out to the worldly system.

Am I the only one who thinks the BTS this season isn't that great? Feels like the output is much less frequent than previous seasons and lengths are rather short
