The phrase cartoon mascot doesn't necessarily mean the costume depicted a character from a cartoon, it can be interpreted as a reporter's attempt to help the reader envision the stylized nature of the character the costume depicts.

The only thing I could argue against is what suit William wore. I feel like Fruity Maze explicitly showed us that he wore Spring Bonnie when MCI happened, but I also get that it might not be literal. Also, FNaF movie intro, but that could be discounted since it's a different universe after all.

I think this theory video is very good overall, but I would like to point out that in the 6th Fnaf game Freddy fazbear pizzaea simulator, clearly shows in the game fruity maze that William afton actually used the yellow Spring bonnie suit instead, Well I do think that he probably did used the yellow Fredbear suit at some point, I do not think that William used it during the missing Children's incident.

At the end of the day, we'll never really know for sure until we ask Scott himself, and who knows if he didn't just ret-con it on the spot or won't in the future. whilst i'd love to agree with this theory as the story currently stands, i think ffps makes it apparent that springbonnie was the suit used in the mci. we're explicitly shown susie being taken away by springbonnie and the movie strengthens this with its opening visual

I do want to point out that while the games never confirm when the first MCI takes place, both the books and the movie make it set in 1985. Into the Pit straight up confirms that Oswald (the main protagonist in that story) gets taken back to the week the MCI first happens, which is in 1985. And the movie tells us that the pizzeria has been closed for fifteen years, and given the movie takes place in the year 2000... it's simple math. I dunno about y'all, but given that we have two universes that share the 1985 MCI date, I think it's safe to say that the games follow suit. After all, Scott said that he would be using future releases (not limited to games) to point us in the right direction when uncovering past events. Not only that, but while I have no doubt that the initial spring-lock training tapes did take place in 1983, whose to say that the later tapes (Night 4 and onward) take place immediately after the spring-lock failure incident? Phone Dude only played us a handful of tape recordings he found, so it's possible that he would've played more of them for us, like the FNaF1 and 2 calls, had Fazbear's Fright not burned down.

I personally think that the MCI took place way after Fredbear's closed, I think Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy were meant to be side characters at the Diner, but when the Bite of 83 happened, Henry wanted to get rid of the Fredbear name and so Freddy Fazbear was made the mascot and any further restaurants would be named after him

My interpretation for the cartoon is that it forshadows the Bite of '83: first Fredbear and Foxy, then Bonnie, then Chica, and Freddy. It is the exact same order as the bite.

21:50 You were close on the MCI deaths. While Susie is first, the Help wanted 2 PQ secret to get the Bonnie mask lead to reveal the order of deaths is Chica, Foxy, Freddy, Bonnie, then Golden Freddy. There is also Ruin's Freddy's cutout revealing in the source code reveal to be from the 70's so it might have been open longer than 83 as backs up from fnaf 1 phone guy mentioning they were singing the same tune for 20 years.

The editing is very good. Fruity Maze's ending shows us Spring Bonnie was used to lure the MCI. Also, the MCI probably definitely happened in 1985, both the Silver Eyes and Fazbear's Frights show us 1985, and it is not a date that contradicst any estabilished facts, like 1987, and Scott literally told us to look for clues in the books before releasing them. Also, most likely no one got blamed for the MCI, since Help Wanted tells us "nothing ever was proved in a court of law", so William was not convicted nor did he frame anyone. Also also, if Shadow Freddy is an actual suit, where is the Fredbear suit if it is not with Spring Bonnie? There is other stuff I disagree with a lot, but these are the most important since they are confirmed.

In the novels, William used Fredbear to kidnap Michael brooks instead of using springbonnie. So there's a chance for this theory- exept SpringBonnie has been confirmed to be the suit used for the murders in FNaF 3,FFPS, the novels, fazear's fright, the Tales books and the upcoming ITP game

Good video, very interesting, thinking about it, we did see in the fnaf 6 minigame the bonnie suit which is interesting, I wonder if maybe he used both? using bonnie first which causes him to be removed from the TV show, then causing both to get retired, then in 87 when phone guy mentions one was used he didnt know either because it was a long time or the spring bonnie was decommissioned, that would explain why they kept GF around for so long and how he could use it for killing like you said. its also weird as to why shadow bonnie is black but shadow Freddy is purple in that game. What I find interesting about your order at the end is that it's the same order someone else got using the colored balloons in SB and the backstage during Pizza Party in HW. So I have a feeling it is the correct order if multiple people get that same conclusion through a method that are different but seem like they're giving the same outcome

It's an interesting theory, but a storage room with parts of springtrap suits doesn't necessarily mean that's when the suits were retired. When the springtrap suits were being used, they'd have a maintenance room. If there were adults present during the birthday party, they wouldn't have let the kids put CC in Freddy's mouth. Anyone could have been falsely accused of the first murders/disappearances, although I don't know how they got a conviction without any bodies. The Bunnie suit would also be recongizeable because whether it was on the TV show or not, since it was used in that diner. A cartoon refers to a style of art, not necessarily an animated cartoon. The report of 5 kids missing doesn't suggest that it would have happened in one night. That's extremely unlikely and unrealistic. On the contrary it says "five children are NOW linked to the incident", suggesting that the number has gone up over time. The puppet being the one who stuffed the MCIs is pretty solid as far as lore goes. I do think you're right that it could suggest Golden Freddie's possession was caused by William after he realized the other suits were possessed. It would explain why Cassidy's murder was especially violent, and why Golden Freddy has two souls in it, if he was trying to bring back his son. I really enjoyed the video, but it is a lot of guesswork. 😄 It still seems that the bonnie suit being moved is mentioned specifically to hint at that being the one used to lure the children, and that's why William is so sure climbing into it will help when the ghosts corner him. Of course he could have used Fredbear when he rounded up the possessed animatronics, because why would they follow the one that got them killed?

I really like what you’ve outlined here as far as the timeline of spring-lock suits being retired. People still debate when Sister Location occurs but it seems clear to me that it takes place between 1983-1987. If William Afton is using the Spring Bonnie costume during the day to lure children, and those suits are subsequently retired after the spring lock failure, he is no longer able to use them during normal operating hours. This would be all the motivation he needs to design new animatronics that will do the work for him, ie Baby.

In fnaf 2 there's a drawing of golden freddy luring kids. It's into the office. The Killer's suit was golden freddy at some point. Hence the existence of shadow freddy. The suit of the killer with the color associated with him. However in the minigames I had always believed that the 8bit shadow freddy was Afton. Another clue toward the fredbear costume being used is the fact that phoneguy specified twice that the animatronics stuff theirs victims into freddy Fasbear suits. Prehaps as an act of vengfull irony, killed inside the very weapon you killed your victims with. Now.... While The Silver eyes comfirmed that Afton used Fredbear, Scott later changed the story in a major way starting with Sister location. Wich means that now, the costume is and always had been spring bonnie. It cannot be Fredbear anymore. Or prehaps, he used Fredbear for the second incident where he took five more lives in fnaf 2. The idea that Spring Bonnie wasn't used in the MCI is interesting, but I believe that the maze mini game from FNAF 6 contradicts this, as we can see them luring Susie, which is considered the first kid from that event. Also, I think that presuming that Spring Bonnie was concretely not a cartoon character, just from the TV in the FNAF 4 mini game, is a leap, considering that not every character needs to appear in every episode. I like a lot of the stuff that was brung to the table here. Though two things i think doesn't make much sense is, William using the Fredbear suit. Since we know it was spring bonnie basically being confirmed by not just the books but also fnaf 6. also when it comes to the give gifts mini game, yes i don't believe the puppet stuffed the kids it makes no sense to me but what i do think is that golden Freddy was stuffed and then given life because i think the puppet would know if there was something up with golden freddy even if it took a little longer....also just to throw it in there i think the kids were basically stuck in some sort of limbo or like being frozen in time or something like as if they were stuck in a ice block in a way since we know at least chica at most did see everything so they just sit and stare until the puppet came by while they were in parts and service. It's really not that surprising that something like the MCI would happen. There are plenty of real life cases of kids being abducted in public. I remember one case where some girl was lured and kidnapped by the abductor using her scooter. She left it behind accidentally, noticed it, went back for it and the abductor just pulled up in his truck and knabbed her right in front of her friend. And, video cameras from the 1980s were pretty hard to make out any details of any suspect. There is an unsolved case where a white boy with glasses was kidnapped from a casino that his parents were staying at. There was a suspect who was tried but later found innocent. The boy's glasses were found close by. It's a really fucked up case.

Aight, Im gonna say it because it seems no one remembers it: Before fnaf 4 got released, in the source code of Scott's site 87 was wirtten MANY times. But 83 was written just ONCE. Remember that Scott said that somehow none of us solved the fnaf 4 story, What I want to suggest is that we do witness the infamous bite of 87, the TV show is probably on a cassete and not of the current time. Mind you that both Fredbear and Freddy are on the same cartoon. What really happens in fnaf 2 is the second MCI I say the two events happened almost back to back. This lead me to belive that the reason why he is so scared is because somehow he witnessed it, be it on his own or trough the remains of Mangle in his home. That is why his party is on an older establishment, it was a last resrot to a place for a party. the two games happeneing almost at the same time can be proven because there are already toy animatronics toys. Based on what we know- the Save him minigame where the puppet meant to have originated had fredbear in it, so it might be possilbe that she is absent in fnaf 4 beacuse she was moved to the fnaf 2 location already.

I think it’s unfair to quote Vanessa saying that William is “just a cruel, bad man” and not read between the lines, someone made a very compelling post discussing how William’s motive across all FNaF media is the same - he wants something he can love. Take quotes from TSE like “I wanted to love, and now I have loved” (iirc), only after he forced the children’s spirits to haunt the animatronics. This seems to be similar in the movie, with him seeing the animatronics as some sort of twisted family. In both, he already had a daughter, but seemed unfulfilled still. In the movie, William does care about Vanessa, but is willing to do away with her as soon as she steps out of line, same with the animatronics. Once the animatronics step out of line, he becomes angry, calling them nasty and spoiled. You aren’t wrong to say the movie isn’t perfect, but I think disregarding it right out of the gate is not the correct path either. It’s not intended to be literal, it’s supposed to give parallels to the source material to give a better understanding of it.
