Another difference which is unique to Milano Derbies is that it is completely safe. The two ultras groups have a sort of treaty to do not cause disturbances. In other Italian derbies, like in Rome, there is real danger to be caught in between the two sides clashing (going as far as stabbing each other) which is really insane. Happy that you enjoyed the amazing atmosphere in the Derby della Madonnina.
@ClaudeMagicbox
@ClaudeMagicbox Жыл бұрын
Absolutely not, the peace treaty was in place from the mid '80s until 2009 when for stupid reasons some ultras from milan attacked regular Inter fans of the lower ring (more expensive, typically families and adults in their 50s and 60s) causing several wounded one of which very serious (the guy lost an eye) Now things are say mid level, there is no actual peace treaty in place but the ultras don't attack each other all the time

@@MrJack9325 you should consider that average Milan and Inter fans are absolutly fine people..while the AS Soma fans (not the Lazio ones) behave like animals..they are many, i should say a whole city, and, consequently they enjoy a sort of "political protection" even if their behaviour is unaceptable...Also , dont forget that people from the North of Italy if compared to those from Rome, are fine people, ironic and far more presentable than today's Roman ineducate populace.

@@MrJack9325 Public unrest between factions in Rome goes back to the days of the Republic and Kingdom! The city has always been this way since its founding because it was always the result of outcast Italic tribes from Latium, Etruria, Greek colonies, some Gaulic people even.

Wow, what a summary "in the city of milan, both fans can mock or ridicule each other, but that is how far it will go, both fans can still sit in a row and laugh together without hatred, because both clubs have the history of the glory which creates Milan as a respected city in the world of football".

I'm an Inter fan but my father roots for Milan. When I was a child he taught me to consider the "other" city's team as my second team, and this is very easy for me to feel because I live in Milan and I have so many friends and dear people who root for A.C. Milan. Sport should always be fun.

I'm from Argentina and the sight of rival fans sitting next to one another in the stands is truly baffling to me. Away fans have been banned here for like a decade now. And that's with segregated sections, we never had mixed stands. Hoolinganism is so bad here that away fans being fenced off in a corner was still too dangerous to consider. If you're attending a match wearing the away team's jersey you would even be able to get close to the stadium before being yelled at or punched.

Incredible Video! As an Italian Inter Fan we often forget how lucky we are to be the only country in which derbys are played in the same stadium. Now Inter and Milan are trying to build two different property stadium as all the other Big Teams have already done. But i Think that those two teams, and the city itself, needs a unique stadium tocelebrate the Derby. The EuroDerby basically put Us as the center of Europe for two weeks. So I think the best thing to be done is to build a co-property stadium between the two teams.

As another Inter fan, I agree. Would prefer if we kept sharing and built a new stadium together. But I guess the upside is you get more of the revenue if you have your own (but will also cost twice as much to build if you both have to build separate ones).

In 2026 there are going to be the Winter Olympic games and the opening is in San Siro, so they can’t move a brick until then.

Fans are regularly mixed together in the Merseyside derby with families split between Red and Blue but sharing a stadium experiencing this massive Derby in world football i cant see it working in the UK anyway .

Before I stepped foot on the UK I couldn’t really feel the local rivalries. Being an Arsenal fan for about 10 years our main rival for me in those years were wherever Mourinho went to😅. Then in 2018 I came to the UK for the first time to study, but I was in Scotland at that time, then came again in 2020. From all the news I read football rivalries in continental Europe are generally much more hostile then the North London derby, but the Milan one is certainly special.

A'reyt Nieve. Another cracking video. Next year Napoli? I usually comment about the food you show. I hope this helped get the sponsor, but if not, it seems really appropriate. Next job, put the oven on for pizza that should be delivered soon. Oh, not quite just eat.

I'm constantly amazed at how English football fans seem to praise classic Italian clashes so much (like the derbies of Milan, Rome and Genoa, the Derby d'Italia Juventus-Inter, or the Napoli-Roma rivalry). You would think they might be used to this with how thorough the support for English team gets
@ephraimrodriguez4594
@ephraimrodriguez4594 Жыл бұрын
I think there’s a sort of nostalgia from when these derbies were a lot more intense in the 80s 90s. Italian teams were arguably more iconic than other foreign teams. So I feel there will always be something mesmerizing about Italian derbies; even when they’re not doing well in the league.

@@ephraimrodriguez4594 Yes, plus the atmosphere at the Italian derbies is always amazing. So much color, passion, noise, sound. The choreos / tifos in Italy area also unreal. The sights and sounds of Italian football are really special. England doesn't have anything like that.

Well... As a Milan fan I tell you that we are not friends. Until a few years ago, it was not uncommon to end up in a brawl between the two fans. It's much better now, but we're still well separated. We live together, but tensions are not lacking, especially for the issue related to the new stadiums. Going back to the game, I really hope we can overturn the result in the second leg, but it will be really difficult for us. We don't have suitable reinforcements from the bench and we also lost Bennacer who will return next season. "La speranza è l'ultima a morire", so... Forza Milan and thanks for this beautiful content, Nieve! 😀

Actually in England back in the 80s and also further back than that, there were areas in grounds, where away fans could get tickets in the home end, there was a general rule to be respectful in celebrations, these were usually the side stands, not behind the goals, which were standing terreaces. There were no real checks... you could rock up and get a ticket on the day for most games. It's only since Heysel, Hillsborough etc, that segregation gradually become heightened and enforced in English football.

Segregation in English grounds happened long before the mid-80s. Fulham FC has a section for neutral supporters.
@Nately22
@Nately22 Жыл бұрын
@@geoffpoole483 Yes, for sure, but segregation was not enforced heavily back then as it is now, especially the side stands. Have been an 'away fan' (without colours) at a few grounds back in mid 80s as a kid. Fulham's neutral section is def unique though and have been there 👍
