I have had this the 75" QN800C for two days now. I was skeptical, but the screen really is razor sharp and crystal clear. It's also exceptionally bright, for those who are concerned with daylight glare from windows. The "black" screen is actually black, not dark gray, faded black, etc. I'm using an Onkyo-6100 receiver for surround sound and the eARC & CEC work flawlessly right out of the box for the TV sound to be "off" and the tv remote controls the receiver's volume, so in other words, the integration between the two is seamless, even though they're different brands. The Samsung TV detected this and set it up automatically. The initial setup was a breeze using the app on my S23 phone. My only gripes would be the "elf-sized" remote because I have big hands, and the lack of internet connection speed when you look at the network status screen. It shows the IP address, and says "connected" but does not show at what speed, which seems stupid. I played back some 8k videos I recorded of my son's basketball game and the clarity is unreal. So I would give this tv a 10 out of 10 overall.

Great to see the review 👍. As for questions: I think you said you had the QN95B, is the 800C as bright as that TV or dimmer and if so by how much you'd say? And when it comes to upscaling does it look better. Meaning 1080p content upscaled and 4K content. Is there a noticeable difference. This is important since that would be one of the biggest key factors of getting an 8K since content doesn't really exist, but if upscaling is cleaner and clearer than normal 4K it a reason. How is the uniformity, aka DSE? Also, how is the blooming.

800c looks to be slightly brighter to me. People say you can’t see the difference between 8k and 4K tvs at smaller sizes but the picture just popped more for me. I could literally see the pores of someone in upscaled content. I don’t see any difference with non 1080p, 4K content though. I think DSE really depends on the panel and not the model of tv but I do see a little of it in the corners. I think blooming control was good on this and I wasn’t distracted at all.

If you still have the TV it would be nice to see more content, like some gaming examples and movie clips and blooming tests. Would be really nice, since you're the only one showing it off. I think it might be a bit of a sleeper TV.

I saw this one in the store next to a Samsung 4K OLED that cost more. I preferred the 8K one, at least on the Samsung demo that was being run. Salesman said the demo was available in 8K, but of course I don't know details. 8 gave me more depth percenption and immersion. I'd love to see the upscaling in action, also compared to what 4K models usually offer. I modern use, we are often limited to 1080P and even 720P sources from streaming or just older KZfaq videos, older private holiday footage. How will the powerful 8K chips enhance that?

The QN 900c IS OK, it has better sound output 6.2 over 4.2 and 20 watts more 90 over 70. I would not pay the extra cash for that due to the fact I have an Yamaha amp with surround sound . So I’m not really losing out on sound.

It has HDMI 2.1 support. What feature are you looking for? the qn800c is generally an upgrade to the qn95b. The most important difference is that the screen type is different. Qn800c has an ads screen while qn95b has VA screen

I got mine 10 days ago and I noticed that the youtube app shows all 8K content as 4K. But when I go to the internet mode everything in 8K is displayed as 8K.

In the store I was shown 8K KZfaq on a Samsung 8K OLED screen, and it was horrible. One big compression artifact, pretty much. Might this point to the underlying reason? The salesman said the 4K YouTUbe comes out better due to the bitrate YT offers being insufficient for 8K. I've not yet found an answer as to whether a paid YT account helps for this. I do want to use 8K content where available (I won't get a general TV subscription, bad for my IQ).

Could you please comment on the upscaling capabilities? This seems underreported. We have so much lower res content that we will still want to check out. Old lectures, early YT vidseos, family holiday footage, early digital pictures, etc, etc. The way Samsung explains the AI upscaling chip, something like 1080P media might look better on their 8K screens than on any 4K screens, even native 1080P ones?

Also, have you run the screen with a PC or Mac as external monitor for some productivity from the couch? Here QLED ought to still have an edge (fonts) over OLED, according to people I ask? I can live with 60fps and even 30fps if the 8K is actually sharp and nice for that sort of thing. Making presentations, writing plans, KZfaq browsing, etc.

Hi, A friend of mine bought this TV 2 months ago. He is a big fan of Samsung. But his standard HDMI Cable 2.0 didn't work very well on the TV. I selected the right and best HDMI Cable 2.1 48 Gbps for him. Image is much better and sharper. Also, Sales Reps say that this model ultimately has a blacklight bleading. Personally I don't like the colors of this TV, they look like candy cane colors and fluorecent. The only plus point of this TV is the audio speaker system 70 watts?. In a few months I will buy the Panasonic OLED TV MZ980 55" inch from 2023. Thanks for your honest review of the Samsung QN800C TV. Good luck with your channel. Regards, Glenn

If you had to pick between the S95C and the QN800C, which one would you choose?

It depends on where you plan on watching the tv. The S95C is perfect for my bedroom. I use it less frequently in my bedroom than I would in my living room. The qn800c is great for my living room but you may be just as happy with a qn95c tv.

With 700b, it was easy to connect the 8k tv on HDMI for 8k resolution But with 700c the same recipe is not working??

I just picked up a QN800B last week for use as my main PC monitor for both gaming and work. How is it for PC gaming? Well, when playing Forza 7 at 8k, you can see the tiny dimpling in the paint of the cars, as well as every little LED bulb in the rear lights. I never even knew some of these small details were there before. Every other game looks similarly fantastic. These 8K TV's are amazing if you have the right content to feed them. There's really only 1 GPU for a panel like this. I have my 4090 running it, and it is an experience unlike any other. The motion handling is superb and the input latency is super low (5 ms at 4K/120 and 10 ms at 8k/60). This panel has the lowest input latency at 60hz I've ever felt on a TV. At 120hz (or 144 in the case of the 900C), there's basically no latency at all. It is a very fast and responsive panel. I use mine in a darker room too and the performance of it in here is great, but you have to make sure to position whatever lights you have carefully because the TV refracts direct light into a sort of rainbow effect that can be distracting. As long as you are conscious about where you put the TV in relation to where your lights are, it's fine. These 8k Samsungs are amazing for PC gaming.

@@Kryptic1046 thanks yeah I did play around with 8k back in 2017 on the dell 8k up3218k and I had to run like 3 cards in sli to get playable framerates on titanxp 12gb vram so it should be easier now with a 4090 at 24gb since i have alot of games I tested in 8k that ran amazing back then I have a huge game library I need to go back and test so I am looking to get a 8k tv and Qn800c looks like it will be it this year

@@ployth9000 - I think you will be very pleased. The TV can be a little quirky when you first set it up, but once you have all your settings and everything dialed in, you will really enjoy it. One of these with a 4090 simply offers an unparalleled gaming experience. Just FYI, here is a list of games I've tested so far at 8K that ran quite well: Forza 7, Injustice 2, Mortal Kombat 11, AC: Origins, AC: Odyssey, RDR2, Far Cry 4, RE2, RE3, RE Village, RE4 Remake. Far Cry 5 needed a little bit of help to stay at 60fps consistently, so I dialed back the resolution scaling in the game to 90%. But, 90% of 8k still looks incredible. These games were running a mix of high and ultra settings and they all looked jaw-droppingly good on this panel at 8K.

Great video. But the QN800C has an VA Panel. Not IPS. You said that it had an IPS. And the only way to turn on the Auto Remaster where it makes the SDR content sharper you must turn on Intelligent Mode.

Performance per dollar for high end models, Samsung can’t be beat. Especially after the tvs are discounted.

Ahh, I see! I don’t believe I mentioned the S95C (which does have a one connect box) in this video. Only the qn95c and qn95b mini LED tvs. I wanted to make sure I didn’t say something incorrect in the video like the s95c does not have a one connect box so I rewatched my video to make sure.
