This right here is what it’s all about. My family is in this business and we just ordered our first truck and I’m about to start driving as well, I’m 21. Same goals same vision. Not many can see that vision but not everything is for everyone.

Watched the whole video and you are a rare gem in this industry. I've been in this industry for over 30 years and everything you said is true. The biggest draw back truckers have when trying to succeed is their own bad habits. Continue to be a sponge and learn as much as you can, there will be no stopping you. My only advice to you is to diversify your earnings. Take some of your revenue and invest in other markets ( stocks, metals, real-estate ) in the event something happens to your health.

It's nice to see a young person striving in our industry. Keep moving forward and keeping real people in the seat. So keep posting and motivating others. Live your dreams.

I have been a driver since 1996, my trainer asked me the first day.. "do you want to be a trucker or a commodities relocation specialist" I choose to be a specialist. I now hold an MBA in OTR economics :) Made it to the end, Liked and Sub'd

Good for you man, I started trucking when I was 21 in the oil field by the time I was 24 I purchased a duplex live in one side and rent out the other the following year I bought my first truck and became owner operator but through at least company so I am leased on next step is definitely own authority I am now 29 about to move out of my duplex into my fiance's home and rent both sides out the home has built a ton of equity over the years especially now in current markets and I just bought my second truck and sold the first this year. Sounds like you've got a lot going on that's positive and motivational you just gained a new subscriber!

I'm 23 getting into trucking right now, starting off hot shotting, and then work to build a fleet of trucks. This was very helpful.

I get so tired of hearing people that have a great trucking career but all they do is complain about how much they hate it or like they’re too good for it or something. Very informational and positive. My son has been driving for about 16 to 17 months as a company driver. I know from listening to him that the cons are real. Hats off to your father, he taught you right! Congrats to you having your own trucks at 24 and handling business like a man should. I am a retired Marine Gunny Sgt. (disabled but alive thanks to a 20 year perpetual war) and got my CDL through the V.A. since I drove my bomb team and k-9s to locate IED's and explosive devices. I have 24 years experience driving missile mobile launch flatbeds in deserts (shit holes). I drove for a company for one year and now on my own. If you let me know where you got your insurance, what state did you buy your truck, and what state did you register it in. I am told Maine has no sales tax and their commercial Veteran plate tags are good for 5 years. Thanks bud for any help you can give me.

My father has been a trucker for 40 years. I went to college instead and got a degree, but what I really wanna do is follow my dad’s footsteps. To all the truckers with young kids, don’t force them to go to college before teaching them your trade. I’m starting in trucking at 24.

I'm 23 years old and I'm wanting to be a truck driver not to long from now. I got into trucking through a truck simulator when I was kid and then learning about the opportunities I can have being a real life truck driver. My goal is being an independent worker by being a owner operator and being a KZfaq/Twitch gamer on home time. I'm aware it can be hard, painful, and scary sometimes being a truck driver but it's worth going through all that to accomplish what I've dreamed about my whole life. I drive an artic here in the UK, we’re treated like crap, apparently we’re 100,000 drivers short, I read there’s a shortage in the states. I’ve been on the road for over 30 years, all we get is bollocks from our government, new rules etc... if I were 30 years younger then I would be happy to drive for you, stay safe, my friend

I work for RTS and have been in trucking for 15+ years helping with fuel discounts, factoring, booking loads through our brokerage, insurance, capital loans, dispatching, etc. and this industry will definitely give back what you put in based on my experience.
