i think theres going to be a flametal boat. it fits the pattern of facing the dangers of the new biome and being rewarded with something to make the biome easier.

I can´t wait. I just hope fortress time doesn´t mean that we only have limited time to finish the fortress. I would absolutly hate that, propably wouldn´t be alone on that, i guess.

I hope that's not the case as well. The way they have described it with the word 'time' has really thrown me. It makes me think it need to be initiated somehow (like a dungeon). But at the same time. Can you not just walk up upon a fortress while wandering the Ashlands. I'm not sure what to think. But as you said, being time restricted would be a hue nuissance.

would be fun if someone made open servers where you play as a kingdom sortoff, you join one kingdom on the server and you can go to war and lay siege to castles etc. Can even have seperat islands so you can do viking raids with ships xD

I want the Icebreaker ship. Like you are able to plow through ice floes and stuff that a regular longship cannot. Then magic sails that took advantage of wind much better. I actually think the current wind system makes sense, because there are ways to better take advantage of wind or sail against wind than just what the playerbase believes. However, I feel like the game doesn't reward your knowledge enough so magic sails would solve that issue.

i really like the idea of magics sails! I wonder if we will get a new ship as part of this update. After Ashlands I know they are working on the final biome in the Deep North but they are also planning on including an update to the Ocean in that as well so I think that might be when we get a new ship

6:10 my theory is that the mace might be the eldner due to it not having a name. one concept art show's the name but no weapon and the other shows the mace but with no name. it looks fairly plain but i imagine its going to be surrounded with flames at the tip. 7:12 at first i thought they were antlers too and they might be. i also considered it might be the bones / ribcage from the morgen mini boss or the charred. you did a really good job summarizing all the sneak peaks. i am so excited for the update! 💀🔥

Black Forest is when I REALLY got into the game because so much opens up. Swamp was terrible because we sailed around and were unable to find to many crypts and the ones we did find had little iron (iron is rng in chests basically). Mountain was fun and there's a lot to do in the biome it's easily my favourite. Plains was okay (use the Root chest armour and deathsquitod do like 5 damage). Just now getting to mistlands

I went thru 3 swamp before finding my first crypt, as I saw how much i would need to up the armor and tools i googled for worlds with allot of Iron and got one with 16 crypts really close to spawn. Used that world to mine iron😂

I believe as long as you dont go near the ashlands it shouldnt mess it up when it updates. Ive beaten Queen and everything else on my current playthrough. I haven't gone anywhere near the ashlands so hopefully it works out when Ashlands is released. In the video it sounded like they suggested starting a new world but that takes to much time

I think you're correct. If you don't go near it you should be okay. I think the developers are saying that to cover their butts a little bit because its hard to predict exactly how things will unfold when the update drops.

I would say that if you stay away from the ashlands you have a much better chance of your existing world being playable without any bugs. The more of the ashlands you explore the more issues I'd expect you to have. All that said, remember I am still speculating so I'm afraid I can't see 100% how your world will be affected. Even if you stay away from the ashlands

I was underwhelmed when I took down my first sea serpent and could only craft a sheild. If youre gonna sail enough to find chitin, and drag a fucking water dragon to land with a harpoon, you deserve a good shiny armor and full weapon set

I just started playing this game about 2 weeks ago on xbox but it seems like they have stopped updating it. The last time they did was in December. I've heard they moved on to other games. I hope that's not true. It's a Fun game.

Definitely not stopped updating it. The game is still in early access so their next big update is the Ashlands coming in the first half of 2024. After that they are doing the 'deep North' biome update which will correspond to the 1.0 launch of the game..I'm not sure if they will continue updating it after that point but until then lots of new content yet to come! I hope you stick with it. It's a great game!

If you've explored the ashlands on your current server, the terrain might not generate properly when the update drops. If you haven't explored the ashlands you likely won't have anything to worry about. That said, the developers DO recommend starting a new server for any big patch such as this

Hope is not completely lost! Have you discovered the existing Ashlands in your world? If not, you're likely fine. However, if you have uncovered the Ashlands yeah it might not render in the new biome and all its creatures and items correctly. All that said, we won't know exactly how it will behave until the update drops. But, the developer team is pretty clear in that they do recommend a new world for best experience.

I think you interpreted it that way. Unfortunately I don't have the exact date - only the developers know that. If I were a betting man, I'd guess it will release at the far end of their range in June but your guess is as good as mine. Apologies if you were mislead but hopefully you got something out of the consolidated info from the past 18 months.

@@7R15M3G1 Again, why would they do that? I don’t see a trend of devs doing this and even when they do they usually announce a delay. They have more to gain from telling the truth than not and there hasn’t been a history from the valheim devs of delaying releases.

I hope your world will be alright. My speculation is that there might be some issues with the rendering of the terrain where you have discovered but hopefully only that small part of it. However, anything I am saying is purely speculaton

I think there is a good chance you will be fine! The ashlands update will predominately only change that biome specifically so if you haven't touched it I think you're okay. The developers do always recommend a new server for 'the best experience' cause with any new update there could be bugs. I guess in short, to maximize the chance of your existing server being fine, stay away from the south of the map!
