The is a video on WWE 2K23's MyGM. I've just completed the first season of MyGM, and I want to cover what we've discovered about the mode.
In the lead up to the games release, we heard about a lot of the new features being added to the mode. Like more match types, shakes up and more. There was also the additions of endless seasons. So that's what we're going to take a look at in this video.
What happens after completing 25 weeks in Mygm? last year, it was over and done. But not this year. We'll take a look at the slammy's, show stats, "keeper" picks and more. This part of MyGM was so much fun, and barely talked about before the game was launched.
Oh, and I'll also try to give some tips and tricks on what to do to give yourself the advantage when starting a new season as well!

Biggest thing I hope they patch is being able to have title matches in triple threats and fatal four ways, no idea why that’s not already a thing

Ya i was shocked when I couldn't put the title on the line in a triple threat match. I thought my remote died lmao! But ya it does seem that fixing that can be done through a patch, rather than wait until next years game at least...

@@gameholics7699 Same! I think it is a nice way to add specialist to matches when they aren't doing anything at the moment. Other than that though, they don't serve a big purpose...

That's a really cool idea that I've never thought of. I'm currently doing a series where the tag titles are no where to bee found because I have no tag teams.

I get that. And if you want to play multiple seasons, Eric Bischoff's power card basically got you 750K at the end of the first week after season 4. Such an advantage.

I swear Stephanie McMahon is the ghandi of this mode. I literally did nothing to her then she messaged me saying I was bad then played 4 cards on me then left me alone the next season

Lmaoooo she was like "we will see if he will pass this test, then I shall leave him alone" 🤣🤣 In the 30 weeks I've recorded, I've probably had 8-12 power cards played against me. Not one of them was from Kurt Angle. All of them from Mick Foley. The Next MyGM I start will be set on hard for both game difficulty and AI difficulty

Managing stamina is probably the hardest part about gm mode. I try not to go all out with my matches on Raw so that my roster doesn't have low stamina heading into a PLE and then i go all out. I've found that by doing this I can still build rivalries and even though i maybe gain less fans than other shows in the weeks before a PLE, i leapfrog them easily with my PPV matches. Finished my first season with 3 HOF trophies compared to the other 3 GM's with one each. With 4 titles being available, i wish there was more match slots for every show because it can be hard to fit everyone into a show particularly if you want a rivalry for every title. The tag titles are a waste of time since you can't use a call out promo or other matches to help build a tag rivalry. I just use the tag titles sparingly and basically just to increase superstars popularity.

This is a great comment with a lot fantastic points. I want to highlight the last one as I think it's one of the biggest issues in the mode. Not being able to call out tag team feuds is brutal. it was even more of a problem last year because there was no mid card title, but it's still a problem now because the tag belts get less focus because you have less control...

I have found the mode a lot more fun this year, Something that did stick out to me was that fact the money doesn't carry over. so you might as well spend it all before the end of the season. however the AI is still not doing enough to complete their roosters, leaving too many open gaps even on hard mode

Those are outstanding points. It seems weird that a money advantage wouldn't carry over. like each show should just have 3 million added to their current budget, not just everyone is set at 3 mil. And I thought that maybe I was seeing the promo slots being empty sometimes because the AI difficulty is on normal, but still I don't think it should be happening at all!

Just binged about a dozen videos on this game as I was on the fence about buying it. This one pushed me over the edge. I love the info about keepers, snake draft, etc.

Ya I thought it was weird that none of the keepers and off season stuff got any coverage in the lead up to this game, which I find so weird because I think the entire off season is amazing! it's pretty fun. This is my first 2k wrestling game. I am going to start over now that I know how to play the game a little more. Also enjoying myrise and universe modes. Thanks for the video.

No problem! thank you for taking the time to comment! I'm happy that this is your first 2K game because last year, 2K ironed out the gameplay (for the most part) but modes like MyGM, Universe Mode and more were very bare bones. This year, 2K added a ton more features. Enjoy your game!

the universe mode feels identical just that we can choose the exact same cutscenes for me universe mode still too hollow

@@ASupremeSaiyan Most of us couldn't even get the other cutscenes in 22. I didn't have 1 Undertaker cutscene despite having it on throughout the entire save. This is a massive improvement for storytelling.

This HAS to be an oversight in the code on their part. 2K has to know that triple threat and fatal four title matches are amazing. Hopefully it's fixed soon...

A work around for the class issue is to make a custom roster and assign everyone to "specialist"

Very true, but it might be more of a challenge if I only draft specialist to give the CPU the advantage of being able to match classes...But back to your original point, yes you can do that 100%

I did it the other way around and got rid of them completely. With exceptions for my main title holder.

Basically just turned small specialists into cruisers and fighters and bigger ones into bruises and giants edit: smarter this way. You get higher ratings

Watching your series has really shown me that the same tricks from last year won’t work this year. Stamina is so much more important. I also love the Mario party comparison, other channels haven’t noticed that yet.

Thank you that means a lot! and I'm glad I can help! Ya I've notice a few of the really BIG channels haven't picked up on how important the trophies are. For example, I think Luke and Pete's series at PFK is great. but 2 episodes in, they haven't looked at the season challenges yet. I know they play just for fun, but still lol

I haven't found this answer anywhere: can run-ins increase a rivalry? It would make sense that they should but I've NEVER seen them do so.

They do but it's a glitch this year. The "glitch" is the fact that the rivalry growing, does not show on the show recap screen. The show recap screen will only show if a rivalry started between the wrestlers in the actual match, not a wrestler and person doing the interfering. So there's a chance a run-in will increase a rivalry, but you'll only see it the week after. I'm not sure if this was clear, but I did my best lol

I can't believe that hasn't been mentioned yet! That is a great thing to have, and I hope that gets added. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem like a patch fix, rather a wait until next year kind of thing... But honestly would love that!

WCW Women's title should of been included along with big gold as the men's, that woman's title could of been used for women's tag belts on WCW because they use the NXT belts and it's terrible...

Ya that's a good point. As far as MyGM, it's one of the only real disappointments from the mode. Maybe it can be fixed in a patch...

@@PunisherNZL Wow are you serious!? this a fantastic comment at just the right time for me. Long story short...I'm making a ranking video of the GM power cards and I had Woods in the top two...but if that's the case this changes things a lot! It's still not completely useless as it does at least require the other GM to release a talent, but it's nowhere near as powerful. I'm going to try this glitch out and if it works for me as well, you'll be getting a shout out in my GM rankings video for sure! thanks for sharing!

Good luck I hope you can replicate it me and a friend discovered it during a 1v1 GM mode he played as Xavier and WCW I was Stephanie and NXT 2.0 so as soon as he played his card I just released Seth Rollins (his steal) and he never appeared again for the rest of the season not even in free agents either...

Have a question, that after 2k22-23 I still can’t fully figure out. When using a power card that impacts other shows (i.e. veto star or double cost) and I want to use it on a PLE…should I use it the week I’m planning my PLE or the week prior?

You have to use it the week before the PLE. So when you're creating your go home show, that when you'd play veto champ.

Took me 4 seasons to get wcw biscoff in the hof played vs woods breezy and Foley took me till the 3rd season to get a lead in fans once i got it I never lost it I played it on hard mode with both

I've yet to use one on either and woods stole sting from me ... yes I have about 10to 15 created characters in my draft

Loving the mode. Got a game going with friends and a few with AI. Big thing I'd like to see is a focus on tag rivalry- a tag team call out, a tag team run out (on another tag team) Triple threat and 4 way title matches Instead of "men's title" give it a name FFS lol Loving the continuous seasons but let me get more than 25 weeks as an option! Trades!!!! 😂

I’m trying to get the damn ps trophy of be 1st after 3 seasons and I was first all of season 2 then smackdown takes the lead the final week so I’m concerned I got to do this all over again if I blow it on the last season

I have a question and found no answer all over the internet. I won all seasons so after 3 seasons I have the 10 hall of fame Trophies. I hoped for a cutscene or something else but nothing happens. Can I just play on for nothing or can I do something to really become a hall of famer? Edit: Just watched the end of the last episode in your wcw gm mode. That is the biggest let down I've seen for a long time... I didn't expect much but that is just awful from 2k...

There actually is a cutscene but it's very strange. It's because you don't technically get the 10th trophy until the start of season 4...so once you finish season 4 you'll see yourself go in the HOF. It's a really strange glitch but you have to finish season 4.

Ugh, that draft thing being back sucks. Why can't I just draft from everyone? Dumb. Is there a workaround on it, like turning people to active once the draft is over or everyone else going to FA?

@mattrogers6932 True, everyone not drafted gets put into the FA, and if there were specific wrestlers you wanted in the original draft, you can edit the roster to 60 active wrestlers. those 60 will be in the draft, and change everyone else to either legend or local, so they still have a chance to show up.

Im near the end of season 2. The other shows have been running special matches alot for me. All of their superstars are near 0 stamina yet mysteriously they never have any injuries. Idk if its just me playing on hard or if it's similar for everyone else? In my experience managing stamina is a huge challenge especially trying to keep with booking special matches for fans. I also wish the draft wasn't random and had all wrestlers then had a random appearance at times to pick up through the season. I've also noticed that Triple H has the dumbest commissioner goals as well

Ya I found that too. the stamina is always very low, yet few injuries happen for the CPU GMs. Meanwhile, The highest stamina an injury occurred for me was 41 I think. which is ridiculous. As far as the HHH goals are concerned...I'm not going to argue that some of them are not dumb, but I will say they are WAYYY better than last year. I hope you're having fun though with your MyGM!

I've seen my opponent get a lot of injuries. They likely have Injury Rehab cards

@Dark Crisis in the show results you can see if there were injuries. They never have any for me 😅 it's possible I'm just unlucky and maybe if i started anew it'll happen differently or maybe even down the line

@@SuccessGamingChannel @Dark Crisis I don't pay as much attention to the other brands roster as I should. The moments I can think of, are the times I see a wrestler at lets say 20 stamina or lower...and then are wrestling the next week...

Ya I hear you on that. I get what they're trying to do, but like you said, it feels a bit restrictive. I did get a comment with the idea on how to fix this. Before the draft, set every wrestlers class to "specialist" and by doing that you basically nullify classes in general.

Is that right? What’s the difference in score between, say, a fighter-fighter match and a specialist-fighter match? How good is a cruiser-cruiser match?

@@mackenzierantsAnd the really interesting thing about these opinions is that they seem to come from OTT messaging from Triple H in the game. Like, he chastises you for booking a match with two low synergy stars, but if you actually collect data on the score differences between various class pairings, they aren’t very high at all. Just goes to show that you need to be careful what you tell people, because they’re likely to believe it rather than gathering their own data.

I've seen some hate for the power cards, and I didn't realize they were not liked that much. Like I've said in some other comments, I think I've just gotten used to them. And ya I agree with the second point 100%. My biggest reasoning for that is, I believe the best/ most entertaining/ however you want to describe it in real life are specialist vs specialist or cruiser vs cruiser. I hate that you get a negative effect for that...
