What we need to understand as Arsenal fans is patience: - We can't play the full-on attack style we did last season. Team is going to run put of gas, like we did. Also, we still don't have a good squad depth. - We can't play too static like last games in current season. Combined with low form, is making us control games but not capitalizing that control. That's on Arteta, but I'm sure he is on it. Arteta's job is to find balance between those two, and that takes time. Also, financial rules makes hard to buy high profile players to build squad depth and make our team stronger. We need to be patient with that too. We are back in UCL and into title races. In my book that is a good foundation for seasons to come. We have a good team, a good coach and good owners. Let's keep building on that and don't panic. Titles will come.

Benardo Silva was playing on the wings too, but now he can play attacking and defensive midfield and can play both wings as well. So why this lack of dynamism, flexibility, and adaptability from Arteta in changing player positions and bringing out new levels of their potential? Harnessing their abilities by getting them to play new positions will only make them better overall. By changing player positions sometimes, a player like Odegaard can cut off his fanciful entertainment football and be more business-like and direct in his approach to games, which will give the team a better edge. Dynamism, flexibility, and adaptability have made Guardiola the best manager in the world, and if Arteta wants to become a world-class manager, he must adopt and follow these approaches.

It's very simple, any team that plays against us just will literally commission 2 defenders to cover Saka and Martinelli. Opponents overlap to break Odengaard passes as well, that's the reason White and Tomiyasu were pushed up. This is purely a tactic flaw by Teta, Rice can push up but our mid will be exposed. We need Partey ASAP and Teta needs to decide to start Jesus, Kai, or Trossard. Our weakest link right now is the left side entirely if Timber is back that would be best for us. I would go for: Raya White- RR- Gabi-Timber Partey(CDM) Odegaard(AM)-Rice(CM Box to Box) Saka-Trossard/Jesus/Kai- Martinelli/ESW

Arteta needs to be versatile with player rotation and adaption to different opponents. His team and substitutions are now programmed and our opponents are much smarter than our manager now. If you makes subs in 87 minutes then you are just a panicking manager not tactical one. We have a great squad already, if only you knew how scared our openers are of trossard

The return of Timber and Partey is pivotal to salvage something for this season in the PL and CL. The latter being more important than the former. No offense to Timber, but he's barely played for us to get the importance of a first team player. Partey has had amazing games for us. Still remember the game vs Man u where he had Pogba in his pocket. Imagine the games that we drew or lost this season. They would have had a different result with him in the squad. And timber as well. I think Mikel made an error in loaning out Tierney. Zinny has let in goals from the left side of our defence in crucial games.

When we played the diamond we were genuinely one of the easiest teams to play against in the league

We need players with better passing quality. The final ball is lacking.. wingers are getting closed down before the passes reach them... strikers are making runs but noone is threading the ball thru to them... how do you expect to score?

Yes Partey and Timber are game changers but Parteys chances of staying injury free are minimal and Timber is unlikely to be at his best till next season. They might help but playing all remaining games from when they are cleared to play is not very likely.

This is how Flexibility and Adaptability can do for the team if Arteta wants to turn things around. These are five different formations in attack using the same players to become unpredictable again. Saka and Martinelli must play through the middle as the attacking midfielders or as direct left and right wingers, not as inverted wingers. All Arteta has to do is switch player positions and the tactics and watch the magic begin to happen in our attack again.
