I mean I am not a fan of either but let's be real. The Jordanian defence consistently missed the ball and hit the feet in the penalty area. With VAR and refereeing the way it is, they should've stopped doing that after the first penalty. Third penalty was shady with the flag having gone up for offside and the player running into the foul but the second was definitely a penalty. You just can't make mistakes like that at this level.

Here is what I know ... when I see an offside, anything that comes after it does not matter. The offside needs to be counted there and then, so the third goal is invalid. The second goal also came from a penalty; however, the context surrounding it is not as clear as most Qataris think. Speaking for myself, I saw the Jordanian defender's leg slightly touch the Qatari attacker's in the penalty zone. I believe that the Qatari took advantage of that, and I think the referee made an incorrect call even with VAR. In summary, this match was the worst I've seen in a very long time.

The Jordanian players still don’t have this kind of experience but now since they saw it happen to them they will understand it and maybe in the future you will see them implementing it.

@@yousefAli246 if it’s too soft or not it’s a penalty and it’s 100% correct, the difference is that different referees will have different opinions if they should count it as penalty since it’s soft. No one can say it’s wrong pen since it’s a soft pen, that doesn’t matter it’s still a pen.

The last penalty was iffy, but the first 2 were clear. Defenders made bad tackles and kneed the oponents' calfs. You can't do dumb tackles like that anymore.

Only thing that I am not 100% sure is if Jordan players got QTR's oil $ for giving obvious penalties in the box. They didnt protest hard. It looks as if they wanted to give penalty to QTR. 3 penalties are beyond me. Money can buy anything including stupid cup, not real champion

The second the Jordanian player literally stepped on the Qatari player foot when the ball wasn’t even with the player and the third it was barely onside because of the Jordanian player’s elbow passing Afif. With that being said it was definitely deserved and clear penalties.
