Housing Day? Sorting? Blocking Groups? Coveted Secrets? Harvard’s housing system can be a confusing and complicated process. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. This video will break down the meaning of key terms to explain housing in a simple way.
Most undergraduates live on campus all 4 years to foster great local house communities. At the end of sophomore year students are sorted into one of 12 houses that they live in for the next 3 years at the College. Watch the video to learn more!

Can / do they EVER make an accommodation for a certain dorm / house? Are there ANY special exceptions? Who would be the BEST person to talk to about this? / Also, what's the policy on / for Transfer students? Where do GRAD students live?

It really does not matter, both are accepted.

@@parthsatija864 I heard they accept people who do NOT have these, as well. ie, they aren't required? (Also, what if you are transferring in from having done 1-year of MA Degree from another school?)

@@emilyacoxpsychic Yeah due to Covid-19, they had stopped asking for them and it was never NECESSARY but it does boost up your chances of getting in.
