Cool! Just goes to show how many levels and layers there are to sports. You can own your school, neighborhood, rec league, etc, but on the pro level, the guys that looked unstoppable in their hometown suddenly look like hot garbage compared to other professionals. (For the record I rooted for Mitch when he was a Bear)

I don't know if his offensive coordinator changed after his good season but that's usually the reason for a dramatic dropoff from a young QB. Which is why when you see teams do it you know that they are sabotaging their own team.

When your HC doesn't know they're drafting a QB in the first round, let alone have a say in it, it shows how poorly run the organization is. Their current activities will perpetuate their failures as they have failed to learn from their past mistakes.

@@christopherharris3229wrong try again, Fox very well knew he was out the door. I’m sure a blind man could confirm. Him and pace didn’t mesh and the org was focusing a relationship that couldn’t withstand. He had no idea about it cause Pace kept it under wraps, Mitch was sought almost a year before that draft. Pace’s closest advisor settled on Mitch and pace followed. Like I said from the jump, the Pace regime was nothing but a personnel disaster. It’s bad when in 2022 the bears have $93 million in dead cap money.

It would be interesting to find out if any QB with so little playing time in college was drafted so high at such great cost and actually was a success. Even if you left off the last two items, I doubt there are very many that had less playing time and were drafted either first or second. About the only mistake they avoided with that draft pick was accidentally drafting the bottom most regarded punter when they actually meant to draft a QB. I have heard of someone shooting themselves in the foot. I've never hear of someone shooting all three of their feet before....

Got me a couple veteran players for that young wierdo. Maaaannnn I lost that season bad and Mahommes averged 35+ all that year in fantasy. Haven't played fantasy football since. It's Lawrence Taylor by a longshot as far as Mitch Trubisky goes I thought he was going to the real deal coming to the NFL as a 1st Round 2nd overall University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in the 2017 NFL Draft but his best year was 2018 coach Matt Nagy won NFL's Coach of the year award because of Trubisky but ever since Mr.Trubisky has fallen of the face of the earth he's only been to one AFC Title Game while he backed up Josh Allen in Buffalo but when he came to the Steelers I was excited about him getting a fresh start but instead he's becoming garbage but now he's back with the Bills for 2024 let's hope for the best good luck 1:40

I watch him from day one wasn't a bears fan but I noticed the offense was 1-2 bang ( very similar to russell wilson this year) Mitch couldn't really do progressions which was shocking but after a deep dive it made sense Nagy had a smoke screen offense meaning 2 or possibly 3 routes where just there they were meant to actually be thrown to... so guess what defensive coaches figured out something MITCH one had 1 side reads left or right. 50% of the field was dummy routes boom mitch regression starts or was it just who he was IDK but Nagy was exiled also so maybe Nagy was def part of the problem and so was mitch neva moving to a pro-style was a bigger issue

Simple truth: He never should have been drafted that high. With that draft position, comes heightened expectations. He's not good enough to meet those expectations. He's been with 3 teams now, if he was good enough to be a starter, someone would've given him that opportunity. Sam Darnold may be the opening day starter for a 3rd different team(NYJ, CAR, MINN)...Baker on his 4th team.... If Mitch was good enough to start, he'd be starting....stop with the excuses

Trubisky has had persistently awful coaching and poor weapons to deal with throughout his career. The reason why his team thrived in 2018 was because the defense was carrying his ass.

Mitch never could read a defense and couldn’t get past his second read. He was never qualified to be a nfl qb

I also think he shouldn’t have left so he screwed himself… he was subpar average white quarterback, because the other guys out played him in every facet of the game in college and NFL, who heard unanimous number 1 so took the money when he should’ve stayed and he had the look of a franchise QB but never had the skill nerve or talent truly.

Being the third overall pick and first QB off the board after playing just one college season is a pretty crazy rise imo

Last one. They praised his mechanics? 😂😂😂 Pace drank that kool-aid didn't he, the whiff was already bad but that and the trade? Then again look up what they gave Seattle for Rick Mirer. I don't know why Cleveland feel more jaded lol, Tim Couch was an MVP compared to Mcnown.
