@xrelik Companies are not a homogenous blob. Just because corporate greed dictates directives that suck time/effort out of proper development doesn't mean that the developers and writers share that end-goal. Just BfA, for example, seems to be the prime victim of quarterly report pressures/deadlines and the devs being in constant catch up to improve features that they never had the time to refine properly. (and now thanks to the lay offs they will also have lack luster play testing on top of that, hurray!)

Convenient that the Pantheon scolds Sargeras for the oath to “protect life when possible” and he’s the only one that made any effort to do so. Bold words coming from “benevolent” beings that barely lifted a finger in defiance of the forces that would harm us.

I'd like to point out the term "invasive" used in the early part of the video as Pyro reads from Chronicle vol 2. It seems to suggest that the carnivorous plant life is an invasive species, meaning that it comes from somewhere else. In the context of the video I think that the specific use of the term "invasive" is supporting evidence that the carnivorous plants, (specifically the sporemounds), were sent to / placed on Dreanor. It can be thought of as being an *invasive species* which lacks a natural predator and can more effectively use available resources, (over abundance of the "Spirit of Life"), to dramatically out-compete local fauna and flora.

There was another weapon that hurt Sargeras, The Aldrachi Warblades (Demonhunter artifact weapon). "The countless nicks and gouges that mar the Aldrachi Warblades form a map of their violent history. These weapons have vanquished thousands of demons and absorbed their twisted souls. It is said that the warblades even drew the molten blood of the Burning Legion's ruler, Sargeras." and "Toranaar was a seasoned warrior, and he recognized Sargeras's ploy. He knew he could not best the Legion's commander in combat, and so he decided on one final act of defiance. Toranaar feigned submission. When Sargeras let his guard down, the aldrachi champion struck. His warblades ripped through Sargeras's hide, and fire burst from the wound. Though it was only a minor injury, the other aldrachi howled in triumph."

Actually, your ending words might be on to something... ever since Sargeras stabbed the planet, i've been wondering, "why'd he stab it, I know he can split it in half and just instantly kill us,so why did he not do it?" - And I always thought it was because of 'the plot', but your words about him stabbing the planet just to accelerate the 'waking up' of Azeroth, so that she'd be able to help us fight the Pantheon, because she's the only one strong enough? There's a Quest mob on Krokuun - Lady Heretica, that says when you fight her: "Do you not see, without the Fel the Shadow will prevail?" And when she dies, she says: "You lack...vision." Which clearly states that Sargeras albeit evil, wants to 'save' us by killing us - atleast want rid of us for some greater purpose. Also, I think Herald Volazj in Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom has some interesting quotes about the Old gods, I would assume since he's somewhat connected to Yogg-saron. "They drink your fear: it is the blood of life." - This one is quite interesting, does Xal'atath,or any Old God for that matter, actually feed on souls/death, or just our fear? The best way to provoke fear is by putting us in the face of death, everyone fear death. And when he dies: "They do not die; they do not live. They are outside the cycle." - Who are 'they'?

The Warbringer cinematic is quite difficult to follow at times. Zin-Azshari was either dug out and washed towards N'Zoth's formerly land locked prison and from which he escaped moments prior (which is not what we see in the cinematic). Or N'Zoth escaped his prison during the Sundering and made a beeline to the sinking Aszhara as a fish getting there within seconds which seems implausible. It's probably a bit of both- the city was moved some by the explosion which also freed N'zoth who then found Azshara who was holding back the water for way longer than we see. I think N'Zoth was quite weak after his imprisonment and the previous experiments on him by the Titans. He started out quite small maybe as small as the fish we see; however, with the many dead Night Elves around and a supremely powerful queen to leech from he grew powerful enough to hold an unconscious Azshara alive at the bottom of the sea for a 1000 years and ultimately transform into the Leviathan. This is why he agreed to her terms of the deal, he needed her power.

I figured the reason why Aggramar had a Sporemound Seedling in his loot table was that he took it from Draenor as a sample to further study. Perhaps the same could be said about the Genesaur, or perhaps Eonar created it after Aggramar discovered Draenor or maybe it formed there on its own due to the Spirit energy. But it definitely is an interesting theory that maybe the Sporemounds were artificially created rather than formed.

this would honestly be an awesome way for things to turn out. on a story level it's rly interesting, tying with the inseparable nature of Light and Void, life and death create and feed off each other. eternal cycles, and the greatest forces in the WoW universe are only a macro-display of a micro that pervades everywhere else. i'd just love to see how all these themes build up in the story itself. i'm not confident how blizzard will handle these big ideas in an actual in-game arc. the world-building and lore itself is incredible, everything i love about fantasy condensed into a singular universe, but their storytelling ability in game seems less than great. in any case, this extensive theme/story exploration is always super exciting and inspiring to watch. lovely vids bro :))

I’m thinking that what was said in the interview has really strong ties to Ogmot’s dream journal, as well as the possible first lie told by the boy king, being that the burning legion is finished, and that we have beaten them. In the journal, it talks about how there’s a misconception that people have that think that someone is bound to “that throne”, but they aren’t. They are free. I think this has to do with the red star being the possible soul of Sargeras, as you pointed out, and that should it move, since he isn’t bound at all, we’d be in trouble.

It now makes more and more sense that the 5 keys and torches Illgynoth was talking about are the Pantheon. Now with Sargeras binded to the throne of the pantheon again they are complete and they left the red-star behind wich also fits perfectly with what was said that if it's gone we are in trouble. I wonder what else of his quotes was just for little events in Legion or if it really is foreshadow for all major things that will happen in this and maybe the next expansion

Call me crazy, but I don't believe Illidan ever said anything about stopping Sargeras, only the demons of the Burning Legion. On top of that, we don't know the entirety of what Sargeras showed Illdan, only what he himself tells us and what X'era wants to show us. My belief is that Sargeras needed an avatar and Illdan took up the mantle; I mean realistically there is no way that Illidan could stop Sargeras if he broke out again. He took out the entire pantheon by himself, so what chance would a lone Kaldorei have. My thoughts are perhaps the fel was a way to temper his body so that he COULD accept Sargeras without it ripping him apart like it does anything else that Sargeras puts himself into. On a side note... Am I the only one who believes that Chronicle was written by Norgannon? What better way to redact or alter lore than being the greatest keeper of secrets/historian himself?

Great vid pyro! Once again! And this time you REALY blee my mind. I made a few notes while listening. May be abit long but I hope you will read it and enjoy it and hopelly find it usefull!: -Bound beneath these waves. What if he is still burried in the ground, the core of the world. Deeper, ever deeper. But obviously the waves of water are also above him. -When you zoomed in on the roots my mind was LITTERLY BLOWN! If you notice the right side of the planet, it looks like a seedling/pollen thing. It IS A PLANT! My theory: Life, plants, want to survive so they devour. What happens tho is that when there is nothing to devour, they simply decay. Take a real plant for example. If it dies, due to no water or sunlight, it gets rotten and fleshy. And insects grow out of it. So the ood gods are nothing more then big plants which couldnt feed anymore. So they decayed. -More proof youre not crazy: sargeras was angry at the titans when he saw the planet they ‘first ordered’. Why? Not because of void. But because he saw life, the plants, being so decayed and rotten that it sickened him. And the world soul wasnt becomming a void titan, he was simply dying and rotting. Slowly bevomming a host/vessel/reanimated corpse for the growth to move to other worlds..to feed! THIS is the flaw. The titans, eonar, thought ‘life is good’ but if it doesnt get fed it will rot and decay. This was the flaw. -Sargeras wanted to ‘purge life with fire’ as you said. He wanted to burn down the forest of the universe. Cause he said ‘life came to be before, so it will again’. If you take down a forest with fire. The forest will bloom again, but naturally. Dont forget, in nature forests also burn. By lightning or mother nature. But if mother nature protected life like eonar does, we would be screwed! -speaking of rot, isnt ghuun and all of uldir in theme of ‘rot’. Servants of ‘rot’. The titans tried to ‘make’ an old god. And experimrnt on it hoe to give it back life. To fix the stuff they failed with the other old gods. -Life calmed the elements on draenor, on azeroth the old gods (decayed live) issues similair commands to the elements but more aggresive.

In regards to what Alex said about the red star, I think you need to re-read the quote. He didn't say go out, or disappear; he said "if it's ever gone". This implies that the red star is Sarg's prison, and that if the red star is ever gone, it would mean that Sarg is free. This is further backed by the fact that the red star only appeared after the legion's defeat.

I'm not sure if you said it exactly as I think you've said it - but (forgive me if I interpreted incorrectly), "The Titans imitating Life and Death through the artificial forms of Light and Void" [respectively]. I believe it to be the other way around. With "The Void" as an imitation of Life - partially chaotic and a conniption of ever-evolving growth. Infinite Mutation and creation. Capable of quasi-human curio, such as "Envy", which the void lords as you pointed out, have manifested. Somewhat of a shrewd theory to support this is the "curse of flesh", which seeks to corrupt Azeroth - it kind of already has... with life... a manifestation of the old gods curse of flesh. Azeroth is in my minds eye... already corrupted. By us. Light - partially order, yet primed with the spurious guise of "primordial fire" - controls its counterpart. Eonar is a "Lifebinder"... I sort of took the title literally. Light binds, imprisons etc. The Naaru bound Illidan forcefully to convert him - take away that "chaos" in his veins. Just food for thought, I could have completely missed the mark. :3

Doesnt have to be a video you comment on, just a compilation of clips/pictures of what we have so far on this theory. I personally cant wait to see in what way Bwonsamdis Boss connects to it all (Im 99% sure its Mueh'zala, blizz even released the Novel Traveler: The Spiral Path in Feb 2018 to introduce him and he even has a shrine in BfA so they are setting his reveal up ingame).

As an aside. I think this is very possible. Mostly because of the example I saw in the Halls of Origination in Uldum when I was getting the last of my Ramkahen reputation. Setesh is the watcher of Destruction in the Halls. The trash before him are Void Sentinels, Void Seekers and Void Wyrms. His own abilities are chaos based and indicative of Warlock powers: Chaos Bolt, Chaos Blast, Seed of Chaos, etc. I think that the Void has always been part of the ordering of things and the Titans. At the end of Legion, Azeroth's nightmares were void manifestations. I think the void is the balance trying to break through where the worlds are being ordered too much. And the Titans, or Eonar, are trying to break that order.

As to why Sargaras "broke free" his primary job was to hunt down "demons" and imprison them (because demons could not be killed) and these Demons were infused with the Fel and were the enemy of the Titans. The Fel is remarkable for two things. 1) it is inherently Fire-like. 2) it "consumes" life like a fire does. If I remember correctly, it's been said that Sarg was "corrupted" by the Fel having spent so much time around demons, and when he finally freed the demons he was "bathed in fel-fire." It's entirely possible that the Fel exposure is what freed him of Eonir's influence and why the Titans were so weak to his fel attacks (Chronicles says that fel was the natural counter to the Titan's "arcane" existence, despite the fact that warlocks and arcane mages have never had such an interaction). Further, in the history of the game, there is not one recorded instance of any of the burning legion turning traitor to the void, though there are examples of warlocks and demon hunters turning to join the legion). Warlocks can even use "shadow" magic but never show any signs of being corrupted...unlike shadow-priests who grow ever more corrupted. Also, the Void Elves show remarkable resistance to the Void forces (far beyond any recorded race who did similar)...which could well be because the vast majority of the High Elf population turned to using Fel to replace the light/arcane magics that used to sustain them from the sun well. Also, think about Illidian? The Naru was trying to take him over with the light, and had even managed to fill him, and yet he still managed to burn out the light and then destroy the naru. It's going to be interesting to see if Illidian takes up with Sarg after they actually spend time together.

Quick notes: Those were not the true Void Lords you fought, but were avatars of them, and were significantly weakened by being outside of the void. That's technically not even what the Void Lord's truly look like, they're supposed to be incomprehensible to mortals due to the void being the complete opposite of everything light which mortals are akin to. Also the "stars foretold" is referring to the Constellar, the race of humanoids that look like constellations (Algalon the Observer being one).

I'm totally following everything and liking it, but you had me chuckling when you said you fought Void Lords. Those are clearly an in-game misnomer on a powerful void-being from before the concept of the Void Lords was even concieved. The whole point of the Void Lords is that they can't even manifest in our plane of existence... Keep up the good work though, always a joy to listen to!

The comment at the end makes sense.. Sargeras' sword could have been plunged in Azeroth to accelerate the process to wake up Azeroth sounds about right, because look at what we're doing in-game.. Azeroth is stiring and showing signs of life, of being awake, albeit injured, but we're mending those wounds and helping to power up and restore Azeroth and make Azeroth stronger.

According to some of the cuts about the 3 sisters, death is resistant to void. If Argus is titan of death, then that might explain why Sargeras used him to funnel demons as a way to increase speed of eradication. Perhaps light and life are more susceptible to corruption whereas fel and death are resistant

I mentioned in a comment in one of your previous videos, which may not be relevant, but the different magics in the Warcraft universe have specific colours identifying them. Arcane is blue/purple, water is blue (but is also water), fire is orange, death is red, light is yellow etc. However, life is green. The only problem with this, is that fel is also green. Could the person who created life, also be responsible for creating the other lives in the universe that also go against the titans (demons essentially)?

One major thing that bugged since the first time I watched the Argus cinematic - why is it Eonar that tells Aman'Thul, who IS the embodiment/god of TIME, that "It is time" ?!?! Why the actual f*** does she command time now all of a sudden? Why is she telling the god of time, that HIS domain is to be commanded?? I mean, Aman'Thul himself would know if it were time or not for us to leave, without the "help" of Eonar, telling him so. And he just accepts her judgment and command and orders us to go. Seriously, tho, it seems like even Aman'Thul is afraid of her and only does her bidding - slowing time, taking death out of the equation - so the life SHE brings can flourish and will never be extinguished.

Speaking of watching cinematics in slow motion, at 42:12 (when Sargeras in being pulled into the Seat of the Pantheon), look at Sargeras's face. I don't know about you, but to me he looks terrified... terrified of what awaits him after he becomes imprisoned in the Seat of the Pantheon, with to other Titans... you can almost read the despair in his eyes. Now by no means am i saying he's a good guy but... would a mad titan hungry for power and conquest, even display such an emotion ?

illidan also kind off confirmed that the light is just as oppressive, by rejecting the naaru and screaming that his fate will be his own. This kind off confirms to me that illidan knew that he would not be the same person after the naru converts him. Or could it be that the demonic energy within illidan prompted him to lash out against the naaru. (Im just rambling at this point btw)

You mentioned Galileo, and how many people considered he was crazy, and i believe that it's a fair analogy considering some people's comments about your theories, so i thought you may like to know that Galileo's last phrase before taking back what he theorized (earth moving around the sun) before the church, was "and yet, it moves". Many people will not agree with this piece of theory that you have shown us, and yet, "it moves".

@Pyromancer I agree with almost everything you say in this video, except I have these to add... * In my opinion, Shadow and Void are indeed almost the same.... if I were to guess, Shadow is Light in the process of entropy, while the Void is Light that has gone out completely. The evidence for this is the Naaru themselves, they first become Darkened Naaru (Shadow) and turn into Void Gods/Lords only once drained completely (Void) * Second, my idea for the original forms of the Old Gods is that they were originally similar to Draenor's giant plant life, only fleshly and then the Titans or rather Eonar specifically empowered them with the Light, so nature/life + light.... everything was fine and dandy, but as we know, once the Light runs out, we get the Void.... and that's how they became Old Gods, their Lights ran out. So yes, Eonar made the Old Gods, intentionally or not. Perhaps it might not have been intentional, but she is still responsible, because Light is always bound to eventually become Void and as you say, Sargeras knows this, hence he sees the flaw. Even though I agree with almost everything you say in your theories, there is one huge issue.... if the Void Lords are made up entities and are in fact just Eonar/the Pantheon, who the heck whispers to Alleria?

what if sargarus was tricked into believing in void lords by eonar so he'd clean up her mess and when he went astrey from her plan thats when we were tricked to subdue him so eonar can get him back on track? also what if the sporemounds only remained sporemounds because they touched draenor's life sourse and they were originally supposed to devolve into old gods as they lost the light energy they originally had?
@darcraven01
@darcraven01 5 жыл бұрын
ok ok heres my complete theory: eonar created sporemound seeds enfused with life and light energies. these seeds were meant to sprout life onto planets in mass. she flung them out across the cosmos and seeded hundreds of planets. however, she miscalculated what effect this would happen to have as the energies in the seeds were not unlimited. as the energies drained, the roots sought new sources of power to susstain and fuel itself. on worlds with titan souls, it was the blood of that world.. creating old gods. on worlds without a world soul, like draenor, it fed on the raw elemental force that was most abundant. in the case of draenor that was life energy, creating the events leading to aggramar's interference. on other planets, the devolved and primal altered sporemounds fueled with elements consumed their planets leaving no energies left and void of all life. sargarus finding worlds like this confronted eonar who convinced sargarus it was the work of "void lords" in hopes sargarus would eliminate the ramped sporemounds and clean up the mistake she had made. when sargarus decided to eliminate all life, eonar realised her second mistake and that leads into the history we all know. -Darc Raven

The only point that seems odd to me is that "The Gift of Flesh" came from the Old Gods, right? So if that made it so we could "die" (what even is death in the wow universe though, nothing ever seems to really disappear; it just changes state) how would that serve the goals you believe the Life Binder has? Yogg Saron even calls itself the God of Death, which is not really true, but the accolade is telling of its intentions. If the Old Gods are really mutated servants of life, they don't seem to be aware of it anymore. Then again. if you are correct, the Titans made two "opposed" force (light and void) with the same goal to distract us, so maybe the Old Gods and the Spore Mounds are the same exact thing: one plant matter, the other flesh, endlessly devouring each other with no actual end or real death being possible just like the naru and the void lords. I am curious where Elune fits in to this though. If Elune is just Eonar then it makes sense because we have seen that Elune has both a light and dark side. Elune can control both light and shadow, so if Elune is Eonar, then that definitely would give more credence to your idea that the Titans creating the light and the void. Very very interesting stuff. I can't see any reason to say you are wrong at the moment. Your theory is elaborate, but well thought out, and based on the assumptions you make your conclusion seems plausible. I like it.
@samueleshleman6909

I always thought the "curse of flesh" bit was a lie, it came from a suspect source in the first place. What really cementedy idea of it being a lie was WOD and the Breakers. So Agrammar imbued the mountains(?) with life and created the Breakers, which eventually devolved into the Magronn, Gronn, Ogres, and finally Orcs, not sure if there was a step between the Breakers and Magronn. But that made me conclude that the end point of all titan created life is flesh and mortality. Which makes it seem odd to me that the titans would want everything to live forever if the end point of all titan creations is mortality. I think the real goal of the Titans is for them to live forever and everything else becoming immortal is a side effect of that goal. I see a bit of a parallel between Nozdormu/Moruzond and Aman'thul. Aman'thul, or Odin, I don't remember which, showed Nozdormu his death and probably his corruption as well and Aman'thul knows about his own death and is working with Eonar to prevent it, and eventually I think the players will undo there plot, just like we did with Moruzond.
@wowfirebat
@wowfirebat 5 жыл бұрын
@@samueleshleman6909 Now that you mention it... you have a good point. The titans did not seed all life throughout the cosmos. Heck some of the races on Azeroth don't have Titanic origins, they just showed up without the involvement of any powerful beings. If places like Draenor can evolve living things without titan involvement, then I guess it doesn't make sense to assume that flesh was an Old God thing. Perhaps you are correct, and Titan creations simply turn to flesh over time, and a convenient side effect is it makes us easier for the Old God's to mess with. However, I think that it is probably still Eonar who is to blame for it. I don't think the Life Binder wants a universe filled with rock and metal things. Perhaps she is the one who caused the creations of the other Titans to soften and crack until stone gave way to flesh? Seems like the shoe would fit, but then again the Old Gods told us that "He" is our true creator, so maybe it wasn't Eonar, but Argus as Pyro has previously suggested? Maybe he was trying to make everything mortal, but Eonar hijacked the process after Argus was imprisoned?

Pyromancer, I got a new theory of what could actually happen in the near future of WoW that needs to be debunked. It involves what's been happening in the old End Time dungeon back in Cataclysm and what those bosses are currently going through right now in BfA. I don't think we've stopped the events from happening in the future, and that the Twilight Council's plans are still in motion. Tyrande might be losing her connections to Elune, Baine's guilt of not saving Azeroth from impending doom brought only feelings of anger towards everyone, Jaina being "divided" during these dark times and lastly Sylvanas, who lost everything and is unable to find peace. There's another piece of information that was given in the dungeon too. Sylvanas was to die at the Ruby Dragonshrine. Maybe Alextrasza have something to do with her death? And the fact that all 4 of these heroes were at dragonshrines during that event makes me think that the former aspects have a role in all of this too. I noticed that former dragon aspects have been dying one by one lately as well. Malygos died during the Eye of Eternity raid, Deathwing got corrupted by the Old Gods and had to be put down at the Maelstrom, Ysera got corrupted by Xavius and had to be put down at the Temple of Elune, and lastly we know that Nozdormu will be corrupted as well in the future and turn into Murozond, and he's going to die at the Bronze Dragonshrine. That leaves Alextrasza. Is she a hero in all of this? Or will she die just like the other aspects? And is the black dragon who died on top of Wyrmrest Temple actually Deathwing, or what it truly Wrathion who was merely his father's pawn all along and that it was his body lying dead in his place? There's just a lot of speculations to be had here.

I’ve been thinking about the nature of the Old Gods for awhile now, but what if Murozond is actually trying to defeat the titans instead of the Old Gods. Think about each instance we go back in time (even the Battle for Hyjal), each of them is/has something to do with something significant that happened in WoW lore. Deathwing’s and the Legion’s defeat at the Well of Eternity, Arthas first turn into becoming the Lich King, Dragon Soul... which in and of itself is a bit of a clusterfuck of timewarping ideas, End Time has a huge number of ideas that reverberate to this day, the blatant ones are Escape from Durnholde and Black Morass, but Hyjal was the first time the races came together and defeated a very powerful time-controlling being. After Legion, I think Illidan is going to absorb Sargeras’ essence and become the new Champion... which is going to be our doom (or he’ll do what Illidan does best... betray) Then there’s the Nathrezim paladin guy, an example of how twisted the morals of the Titans and the Light are. Same goes with Yrel. The Titans are evil and it’s just a matter of time when Azeroth breaks free and we have to fight alongside her against the Titans. Sargeras’ objective this whole time was to wake her up because she is the strongest and I think that’s why Eonar infested her with Old Gods (life) to destroy her albeit slowly.

The Everbloom is unchecked growth like a benign tumor (it can kill, but it is not directly dangerous to its host [in this case, Draenor is not itself being consumed, just creatures on the surface]), but ; the Void Lords/Old Gods are more like a malignant cancer (actively trying to consume Azeroth). The beings of the Everbloom talking about returning when they're killed is similar to something like giant aspen groves (super massive clonal colonies of trees with the same root system that are considered to be a single organism) absorbing fallen limbs et al (in this case, the remains of the botani) back into itself as nutrients to continue going. N'Zoth reminds me a LOT of Moghedien from the Wheel Of Time series (great books if you're into high fantasy); Moghedien is the weakest physically of The Forsaken, but her true strength lies in her abilities within Tel'aran'rhiod ("The World Of Dreams") where she can manipulate people and things from outside their own touch. Thus you can have the weakest still be the most powerful. I'm not disagreeing with you on anything, I just think you're a bit too much into WoW being 100% Lovecraftian + Norse theory to talk of other influences and ideas :)

This right here, these twists and turns of story is just the thing that I loved most about Warcraft franchaise, especially the Warcraft III. I think it's just in spirit of Blizzard to do such a thing, to place the biggest threat to the universe right in front of us, disguised as our friends and saviors. So yeah, I'm sure that everything is not as plain and simple, as we are lead to believe, Titans are not our friends and something big is comming.
