For two years I've been hesitating whether to publish this gig or not because of the sound's discrepancy. So now, I publish this gig with a heavy heart. But on the other hand, let's enjoy what we've got.

Alice, like you I do not monetize my videos, but I also have ads placed in my videos by the copyright holders of some tunes played by Tuba Skinny, including "Blue Moon of Kentucky" and "Short Dress Gal." I find it unusual that "Short Dress Gal" was not flagged by the copyright holder in this video.

This is one of the most talented groups in the US. Their techniques and sound so accurately replicate those long-ago nostalgic sounds. Such a delight to listen. It is bewildering though to see the syncronization of the instruments, but not the mouth movement to the soundtrack. Wierd! Thank you for posting. Hope all stay well and happy as they continue to perform for those lucky ears who come to listen. Bless you all and those you love.

I wonder if Ericka (or the Foley editor) might have dubbed her voice in later.. Maybe a bad mic or mixer on site that day? She appeared to be "right on" at 22:09.

Amazing and beautiful video. The technique of delaying the image, exactly in time with the music, produced a fantastic effect. Congratulations. In an old video, a couple of classical dancers appear dancing in slow motion, but the music has its normal rhythm. It was a similar idea and also very beautiful.

Thank you Alice for posting this video and more of our favorite jazz band. It's just appeared on my KZfaq menu and I noticed it's only been up there for about an hour and already there are 80 views. Tuba Skinny is hot! I only discovered the band about a week and a half ago and I can't get enough.

Alice: I very much appreciate your reluctance to post something flawed. However, the temporary loss of audio/video sync is not important here. This Tuba Skinny performance is very much worth experiencing. Thank you for sharing this, and any others you may have are also very welcomed.

Thanks for going ahead and posting this, audio sync flubs & uncoordinated video not with standing. The audio by itself is fine and it contains some not often heard pieces. During 'Oh Papa' (10:50) we see Robin playing the washboard on his lap, with brushes .. new to me at least. And I don't think I've heard the 'Dyin Blues' before (23:17), and it's another Tuba Skinny resurrection. Then they play not only Shaye's 'Pyramid Strut' (13:15), but also Robin's not often heard 'Thoughts' (27:26). Plus the other tunes with their usual verve. Yes, thanks.

I did not hold back and recorded this video. Only the video was muted. So I recorded the sound separately and using SMPlayer I pressed the play and using the external audio charger I looked for the file and luckily it worked well and perfectly synchronized the sound and the video.

At the 41 minute mark Erika sings, "The Midnight Blues," in synch! Just beautiful!!!!! New song to me! "Corrine," is a great rendition next, by Erika, also new to me! Last song, "Running Down My Man," is in a class by itself! Erika is in top form, here!

Alice, if you are referring to the unsynchronized video/audio I am sure there is video editing software available that can correct that. I am not knowledgeable in that field but I am sure the ability to correct it exists. I appreciate your professional productions of Tuba Skinny, unlike those of us who use cell phones and hope for the best.

*THANK YOU SINCERELY for uploading this live gig. EXCELLENT performance music like this is so hard to find. But to fix the sound discrepancy, one just has to open up two separate windows of the same video. Mute the sound of one of videos and sync it to the sound of the other video. Only took me a few tries to get it right. Hint, keep the muted video about one second ahead of the one that has sound - AND ENJOY FOLKS!!*

Hola Leon Blum! Con la ayuda de un traductor en línea, especialmente para usted, traduje del inglés al español, lo que Alice Glick escribió en la descripción debajo de este video. "Durante dos años, dudé en publicar este concierto o no debido a una discrepancia de sonido. Así que ahora publico este concierto con un gran corazón. Pero, por otro lado, disfrutemos lo que tenemos". En otras palabras, ella sabe y lamenta que en los primeros 20 minutos de 60 minutos el sonido no sea síncrono. I seen Erika's pretty legs. Beautiful singing too. This group is a treasure. Too bad the sound in this particular recording is out of synch with the moving picture.
