So I imagine this will have a fair amount of questions.
A couple months ago I found that "Dumb Running Sonic" video with another song from these guys attached and I've been hooked on them since. The hook was so strong that I HAD to get an animation out of my system about it.
Also, I had just watched someone play through Phoenix Wright and somewhere along the lines I got the mental image of the beats coming from the hand slamming, and, well, here we are.
What, the glasses? They're on loan. What? Stop looking at me like that.

this animation came out when i was like 8 and i remember watching it around that age having absolutely no idea what ace attorney was, i just liked mystery ben’s animations .. now, 11 years later, im 19 and i played the ace attorney games earlier this year and im absolutely obsessed with them now. while playing aa3 (back in like, april) i kept getting a weird familiarity with godot like i’d seen him before. And now while talking to my friend about mystery skulls i mentioned the creator had made an ace attorney animation i liked when i was younger and rewatched it, realising i HAD seen godot before, in this animation!!! 😭 i thought he looked cool when i first watched it, and i still think he looks cool after i’ve played it (and he’s one of my favourite characters, lol). this has genuinely been mind blowing for me LMAO, it’s like watching this as a kid prophesied me becoming obsessed with the series its from many years later. thank you for this, loved it when i was younger and i still love it and all your stuff now

Bram Grootveld Nope, the only song on Spotify by Mystery Skulls that has "money" in it, is their 2019 album release, 'Don't F@¢k With My Money'. Searching "The Turntable Turnabout" brings up playlists that are related to Mystery Skulls music. The song 'Money' itself is not in any of the playlists, sadly. :(

+Creepopolous While I don't know the full story, from a business perspective, I can see why Mystery Skulls wouldn't necessarily want to go that route. For a similar example, Hasbro isn't getting upset about people who do stuff with My Little Pony using Patreon and similar services to get a little income. However, without those KZfaqrs helping to keep older fans of the program interested during downtime, well... Hasbro does actually make some money off that periphery demographic. In this case, though, I don't see it working as well in Mystery Skull's favour. They've already commissioned one outside group for videos, and I don't think another person making different videos would get them that much more press and income. Worse, it might open the door for larger-scale money-making (there might possibly be some small scale bootleg merchandise, like T-shirts, out there already) from the group's music. It's a balancing act between knowing what things to let go and what things could potentially cause trouble down the line if not stopped. Though, as far as I know, it doesn't seem like Mystery Skulls were against the video itself. Yuracon just calculated that their group wouldn't be able to get the video done as a hobby project; it would be too much for them.
