I wrote so lengthily because there was value in the overlong analysis. Previous commenters...well, see my analysis and reaction. Sad. Thanx for trying. A great episode, wonderful allegory, 4 great actors. She played a tomboy beatnik about that era....later important roles. And ted Baxter.

Small cast, high concept fiction and tiny budgets are all part of the endearing aspects of the zone and this episode exemplified that. Amazing cast, thanks for pointing that out!

Remember allegories and fiction are not always literally possible. WallE and EEVah are impossible....and E.T. can't get here in first place. My parents held many national science offices and international functions. Word my take for it. Still great episode. Bit overkilled it. Analysis longer than the episode. That's for grad school specialties. I have studied sci fi and dozens of other subjects for 65 years...love fantasy....recommend reality. Step onto open air and Bugs hovers....Musks fall, tusks and all. Hard. Trump is wrong...$ don't prove ANYTHING good. Edison ripped off employees' work EXTENSIVELY, tried to suppress safer electric systems and hired thugs to assault competitors...electrocuted an ELEPHANT. As Barnum said:: " One Can't go broke underestimating the intelligence and taste of Americans." Like Trump, he LOVED the 'POORLY EDUCATED.'

Thank you for your detailed comment and for sharing your insights! I appreciate your perspective on the use of allegory and fiction in sci-fi and fantasy. I hope it didn't come off as real harsh criticism about how farfetched the premise was, I was just poking fun at the fact that most scifi in general is farfetched and I didn't want to ignore that fact. And yes, we can be very verbose at times 🤷‍♂️ It's fascinating to hear about your extensive background in science fiction and other subjects. Your points about reality, historical figures like Edison, and contemporary issues are thought-provoking. I believe engaging with both fiction and reality can provide a balanced and enriched perspective on the world. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to share your thoughts!

Sorry...your AI and recent sensibilities....we all know "Blade Runner"s and film, VERY non-Asimovian, "I Robot" and later Terminators...and also your, "Is this a dream" are VERY far from the original intentions. But she is a feeling android, here. Intent clear.

Hard to find a lot of original content especially the older you get the more see things that came before the current or new thing. However, it's all about execution at the end of the day.
