I love where they're arguing about the Lovecraft adaptation in the beginning and what year the movie came out in. Kids today won't believe that there was a time where if you had a question, there was no way to get an answer other than maybe going to the library. During the middle and dark ages of course.

The Toys of Caliban is one of the most terrifying and unnerving pieces of melodrama ever aired. It's uncomfortable to watch and leaves the viewers with PSTD. An epic piece.

You know another thing, I don't know when I realized, that actors, like most others in society, ( Unless you're Jerry Seinfeld 😁) have to keep on getting work throughout their lives .. These were not my favorite episodes of this series, but the first one stands out. I remember seeing the first one "Monsters" on TV years ago. It's a monster story with a twist. The idea that evolution itself had programmed humanity to wipe out the monsters that fed on them. The people around the old vampire acted like an auto immune system----killing the "infection". but the ending left me wondering----did the little boy catch the vampire infection? An intriguing and chilling ending.

The kid called Eric in the Shadow Man also was in another 80s movie I believe was called "Explorers" or something like that. It was about 3 boys who build a space ship out of en old Tilt-a-Whirl seat. River Phoenix also starred in it. Anyone remember that film and know correct title?
@wavstudionet
@wavstudionet 5 ай бұрын
Yes! River Phoenix, Ethan Hawke, and a third child actor. , the one you pointed out. “Explorers,” 1985. Didn’t have Showtime , so during a good picture i could see them talking with a goofy and friendly green alien with suckers at the end of his fingertips. Ethan hawke character was a bookworm with spectacles. *correction * ah, River Phoenix wore the glasses.

To the parent(s) who move their kids from place to place on a regular basis (every 6-12 months), starting over from scratch for a kid can be extremely tough. Have some patience, they're lashing out. Out of anger, frustration.depression or possibly a combination of 2 or more. Especially if they are Introverts like my 2 brothers and I. Then those feelings can more than double if unchecked/ignored.

He was in poltergeist 1982..,this has to be like 83/84 cause he’s a little bit older …if you watch that movie and then see his acting in this, you can see the same nuances in his acting and vocal delivery … his face got. A little skinnier as he was growing up more… Edit: looked this episode up, it was released Jan 24th 1986, so it was probably filmed in late 85…he was born in 71.. so he was prolly like 14 here…

The film is a bit blurry. What happened at the end of "The Elevator?" Was it a giant spider?

Sometimes, there’s no need for visual confirmation … let your mind do the work, hehe! The images created by your imagination can be more frightening than seeing things.

The giant spider was to catch the giant fly, that the giant old lady swallowed. It just all sort of snowballed, from there.
