😊😉 Hello my best oldies friend☺️ just found this beautiful song ...I never realized how many great doo wop songs that I never heard of. The only station on the radio when I was growing that played alot of doo wop was from Philly and some from Southern New England where I was born. Love and Peace always...😊✌️

Based upon Steve Propes biography, in "LA R&B Vocal Groups," augmented by my own information, the original Twilighters were Charles Wright (lead), later of The Shields on “You Cheated,” The Gallahads on "I'm Without A Girlfriend” b/w “Be Fair"on Del Fi 4148, and The 103rd St. Rhythm Band, Leon Brooks, Amos Shaw, Wright's cousin, and Melvin Ware formerly of The Nu Tones, who recorded "Believe" b/w "Annie Kicked The Bucket" on Hollywood Star 798 in 1954, and The Jolly Jesters who recorded “Sweet Talking Girl” b/w “Big Foot Hannah”on True Soul in 1965. The original pressing of "Eternally," which is a very rare record, was released in 1956 on Cholly 7093 crediting Little Cholly Wright, with "I Believe" on the flip side, which is actually a reissue of The Nu Tones recording of "Believe." Soon after in 1956, the record was issued on Caddy 103, now crediting The Twilighters still with the reissued Nu Tones' recoding on the flip. It was then released again using the same record number, but with "I Believe" resung by Charles Wright and Amos Shaw. This release was leased to Dot in December of 1956. The Twilighters' next release was "Live Like A King" b/w "Pride And Joy" on Ebb 117, with the group now comprised of Charles Wright, and Manual Arts High School classmates Ray Daugherty--later of The Resonics on Unity, Lil-Larry and Lucky Token, Ray Frazier & The Sharps on Playback and The Fury's on Mack IV-- and Leon Young, and Ray Frazier, later of Ray Frazier & The Sharps, Ray Frazier & The Blenders on Combo, The Blenders on Class, Ray Frazier & The Moonrays on Excel and Dynamite, and Ray Frazier & The Shades of Madness on Stanson, Chess, and Carriage Trade; The next release was back to Cholly for "Let There Be Love" b/w "Money Talks on Cholly 712, with the B-side credited to Leon Brooks and The Twilighters (suggesting maybe it was actually Leon Brooks who was a member on Ebb rather than Leon Young). "Eternally" b/w "I Believe" was reissued on Pla Bac 1113 in 1957 and finally on Pico 2801 in 1960.

Takes some time for the drummer to get the back beat straight, but it's pretty good.
