The way in which these two delivered their comedy as most comedians back in these days is just genius, and now all we have is 1000s of stand ups swearing here, there and everywhere.
@MythicSuns8 жыл бұрын
+Tidgy he's never going to be at the standard of the two ronnies but i saw a comedian recently on TV called jimeoin. your opinion might be different but i thought the guy was a breath of fresh air compared to all the other recent comics.
@-Tidgy8 жыл бұрын
***** YES! Jimeoin is great I also love him, but there still isn't that intelligence to create it, these two need the acting skills as well as lots more than just skills to stand there and speak. But yes, he is definitely a cut above the rest of the comedians now as you say, along with a few others like Peter Kay and Lee Evans etc.
@wiggsan8 жыл бұрын
+Tidgy Very true. Genius and their timing is unbelievable!!
@Onlythebesttracks8 жыл бұрын
+Tidgy So swearing automatically makes it bad comedy? Swear words just like any words have meanings that can change with the times, surely there where words in your day that are said openly that would have been frowned apon a few years previous. No such thing as a "Swear word" in my opinion. Language evolves, thats something you just have to deal with. Don't get me wrong, innocent simple humor like this is funny but no more funny that a comedy act that uses swearing as a punchline. Fuck for example is used in comedy because to say the work fuck you have to smile (try it). So when a comedian says it, he smiles, as does the audience. We are social animals at the end of the day. K's are funny, to put it simply. Of course comedy is highly subjective, but isnt it interesting that i can enjoy modern humor and old, and yet you perceive new to be bad. I think every generation is guilty of it, we trust what we grew up with but at some point you have to look to the future just as i have learned to look to the past. Humor is everywhere, dont let a few "Bad words" spoil it for you.
@wiggsan8 жыл бұрын
+Justin Proctor Swearing is no more than a demonstration of a lack of imagination, lack of character and a lack of command of the English language. A talented comedian can make people laugh without using a single swear word which is a dying art. Swearing is an attempt to gain a person's attention by something other than talent and an indication of a lack of confidence in one's self to get a point across.

I saw the Two Ronnies on BBC TV when I was six-years old on a trip from Los Angeles to London UK in 1973. I found the humor so great that I'd wondered who the two performers and what the TV show was. I recalled them being "The Two Ronnies" and that was all. This is the first time I've been able to watch these two incredible performers since then. Thanks for posting this sketch and helping me understand what I was seeing in 1973!
