Last 2 minutes were the best Gary! Thank you so much for everything. Literally same as the guy above. Started at age 17, 34 now n have ounces n ounces under my belt. New creeks new challenges. I can’t even count the gold I have found now, I have lived on it for 8 years on n off. Lol literally has kept me alive. These videos help me crack the placer gold code, an put food in my mouth. They also bring smiles to a lot of people I meet n curse them with gold fever. Lol Really appreciate your knowledge. It really does work. Half gram a day to quarter oz days now. All by hand . Friggin appreciate you gary!!!!!! Thank you!!

I’ve got two kinds of bedrock in my area, sandstone or basaltic andesite. Both are pretty soft and don’t fracture/crack well but often forms waves and dips, potholes where I’ve found some gold. The key is to find a hole that is filled with hard packed gravels and dirt, unfortunately they are often covered with overburden and only found by luck. Occasionally I’ll find a crack like dip going across the stream that extends into the bank and those can be productive.

With the family who are snipe and panning crazy ..... The kids allways like to make "wages" for there little wishes ... and work hard on the gold ...... They watch your tutorial attentive ....and have good panning skills ..... So ,- there are some tricks to , to make enough gold ( If you find the right spot hahaha) ,- so that a person can make some day wages ..... Me and my kids looking forward for more interesting tutorials from you Greetings ,- and stay healthy Gary

Gary... As ALWAYS......a very informative and fun to watch video. :) More PLEASE!! You, Sir, are the MASTER on reading the stream and knowing exactly what to look for and how to best spend your limited time. When I visit my 87 year old Mom in Grass Valley (from Texas) I try and hit the NF American, but seems most all the bedrock where I can access is very soft slate or shale type. Nothing like your hard, greenish bedrock. I am forced to pry off slabs, settle for fine flood gold. Any recommendations when working old, black, soft, slate bedrock?? TIA. Randy "C-17A"

Great information there Gary , you know those that don't get it would say that you're very lucky or you're just a gold magnet how you find so much gold , and or find gold while others are not , but that is not the case . The wealth of knowledge you possess gives you that advantage over others that are say , just learning or newbies or not evaluating their surroundings properly . That makes the difference between a successful prospector and those that are not . But mind you there are always such things as beginners luck , and that goes for prospecting and fishing too , 🤣 Cheers Ned . 👍👌✌✅

Although the crecises have been worked before after a couple of good floods is it possible to find gold?
@TwoToes

After a good flood gold will move, and some of it will end up back in the worked crevice. Each time there is a flood it moves some gold, the longer a crevice is unworked the more time it has to build up gold.
