I found myself hold my breath and then finally breathing out a sigh of relief right as you said, "... as you breathe out once more." What an emotional immersion. Great story telling -- always inspired by your work!

unreal steph. unreal. I think photography is one of the greatest times to be in this flow state. You're just walking around trying to capture whatever is out there. It's freeing and productive at the same time, a very very strange combo.

Your cinematography and narrative are so beautifully crafted. Every photographer who chases sunrise can totally relate to those words. Let's not also forget sometimes a trip is bust but we'd do it all over again. Amazing work!

Loved this video. Hits the mark for me. Every time someone glosses over your photos & you get that "Oh that's nice" & then just flicks on to the next capture . You wish just for once you could tell that background story of what it took, the effort & time to take that picture. The early start tiptoeing through the house when everyone is a sleep, the pulling on five layers of clothing to fend off the cold. The nervous lonely drive to your location thinking, have I got all my gear, should I hike down the east track or the north track, which side will be the best composition? The setting up of your gear & composing, should I use this lens or that lens? Hell it's about to rain make sure the gear is protected. Oh no the light is changing, hurrying to make the most of your limited mood time. The heart pumping with anticipation, you shivering with cold your fingers don't want to work, do I really want to be here? The doubt in your mind have I got the shot? Packing up, the cold windy hike back to the car. You turn the heater on and you head home. Your mind catches up with the present, you finally take a breath, wow what a morning, all that adversity. Your next thought, I can't wait to do it all again tomorrow! It's with these sentiments that I always look deeply into another persons photographs & imagine the actual story of capturing that moment in history. Keep up the good work - cheers.

Very true !! Another awesome video about what we really go through n feel sometimes !! this morning i once again got up very early by 4 am i was on my way drove almost 3 hours took one picture that i didnt like n miss at least 10 shots ,,once again desperately looking for that perfect shot that doesnt exist !!!!!!!!

Been there, for me, the feeling of not doing it is worse than the feeling of just getting out there. Missed so many sunrises even when I left early, forgot money for the car park, no where to draw money because they all want 2.50 to draw money out. But you get there and still make it work. Thats where my last vid but 1 was done down dunraven bay, next time I will catch that sunrise and be more prepared. Love the vid btw
