This isn't even close to how much emarati's spend! in the U.A.E so many people buy number plates that are each a million pound and higher, and its not only emarati, it's also indians and others. The number plate 5 for abu dhabi was sold for about 24 million dollars! it was bought by an emarati named talal khouri. Anyone over there would be extremely lucky to get a number plate below 500k pounds. And recently there was an indian guy who bought the number plate 5 for dubai for 10 million dollars. Its good because all this money actually goes to charity, but i also believe its kind of a waste. I rather spend the money on buying different cars..

Great video, be interesting to hear if anyone outside the UK pays for private registrations as it's a big market here in the UK. My last two cars both have car related plates... Some people may think it's crude but I like quite like seeing cars with personal plates (spaced correctly!)

The continental tyres are actually really sticky tyres. On my dads C63 coupe, the continental tyres pick up loads of chippings once they've got up to temperature. Also, AMG cars are so wicked !!

In the Arabian Gulf number plates for some reason is a status symbol, where I'm from in Bahrain the number 600000 was auctioned off for over 720000 GPB, the lower digit numbers can be sold for over a million...

Here in Ohio, personalized plates cost $60 plus $35 for the sticker, per year, limited to eight characters. What was the watch the AMG instructor was wearing???

here in Norway we just got custom plates, it costs just under 1000 pounds and you keep it for 10 years, you can not sell it and when 10 years is up you can send in a new application to get it for another 10 years

Did you stay at the Brooklands hotel next door? I did an AMG drive round the circuit and stayed at the hotel, biggest rooms I've ever seen, they were huge and only £250 per night!

two of them plates live near me, the 51 NGH which I've seen twice in the last month and the 1D which I've seen lots of times in the last 6 weeks, both in Gatley or on Style road which is also goes through Gatley.
