The Uk's North East Coastal walks, Finns Labyrinth, Souter Lighthouse Walk and cycle path
We just went for a walk but took the cameras with us, some nice sea arches along the north east coastal paths. The UK has so much to offer just trying to make a good photos in boring light was hard.. at least we got to see some new stuff..

The labyrinth is an ancient tool to aid in meditation and contemplation. Walking the path into the centre and out again focuses the mind. Yes the video was worth watching. You showed us the reality of the location in those conditions. Lots of potential there as you say. Thank you for sharing the location.

I'm glad you put this video out, it was definitely worth it. We would not have seen the sink hole and the rest of the scenery. The sink hole was really impressive. Nice image's as usual.

Finns Labarynth was built by a guy named Sean Hesa and named in memory of his dog that would accompany him on his daily walks along the coast. I never met Sean, but I imagine a lone man taking pleasure walking along the cliff path to fill his days. If I’m ever walking along that way, I always look for bits that need a few extra stones and help out. I’m sure there are many other of my South Shields neighbours do the same.

You picked a great location only a few minutes from me, Souter lighthouse is a great location for the northern lights, elephant rock just below the light house is worth a look for star trails when the tides out , great location for sunrise and summer sunsets

That looks a lovely location Paul. As far as the images are concerned you can only work with what you have and if conditions aren't great then you can't work miracles. Given the circumstances you did well mate 📷👍

In this video Paul captures "Finn's labyrinth". This sadly no longer exists. I know the creater of the labyrinth created it as a memorial for his deceased pet dog. He split up with his partner who destroyed it seversl time's. Its was rebuilt each time. I don't know if the current state is due to that but it just the inner circle and outer circle. I padt by on my bike today.

The north east coast of England is totally underrated as a holiday destination. You haven't been blessed with the most photogenic weather conditions this summer wherever you've been, but as Denise says you get what you get. Looks like another location that's worth a return visit, cheaper than the Faroe Islands as well 😉

From memory Fins labyrinth was created 2015 and named after one of the creators dog. Like you said you haven't seen the area at its best. It a nice ride from Sunderland to shields past Jackie's beach and the old firing ranges. Heading to Sunderland you have the cannonball rocks.

Looking forward to exploring this very area in late october for my annual photography trip. However I have to nit pick (sorry). This is England's North East coast, not the Uk's! The North East of the UK is Aberdeenshire. Northumberland would be classed as the UKs midlands.

Having lived in Nairn, Aberdeen's just the East Coast. I've heard people can even get suntans there. The central north/south point of mainland Britain is in north Lancashire, not far off Cumbria .... but you try explaining that to people from Yorkshire that they're all southerners 😁
