My offer is still on from a previous vid. I'll donate the price of a good lapel mic if you'll use it so we can hear your dulcet tones without the room noise :-) Thanks so much for the exercises.

Hi there, Thanks a million for your channel and especially this lesson + PDF file. Quick question: I don't follow the logic in the bassline, for example in the first line. Did you apply a theory or is this just for musical purpose that you add semitone that are not part of the scale? For example : in (2-1) Am7/D7 you put a C# on the left hand, which is not part of the G major Scale. Thanks for your answer!
@WalkThatBass3 жыл бұрын
The goal of the walking bassline is to arrive on the root of the chord on beat 1 of the bar. Sometimes there are not enough notes in the diatonic scale so you need to add in a chromatic passing note in order to make it all line up. Plus occasional chromatic notes just sound great.

@xiaoyiwang52942 жыл бұрын
I am recently doing these 251 practice that you offered. there's a question, many 7th chords omitted the 5th note so if i could practice the se 251 just on 1-3-7 tones. i did not bad on page 1 but if omitting the 5th tone my fingers need readjustment .

whats the difference between a 2-5 and a min 2-5?
@jackhenshaw25553 жыл бұрын
The 2 in a minor 2-5 is a half diminished chord rather than a minor chord
