FYI: The X1C does have a guide rail at the real next to the lead screw, but it's hidden behind the panel at the rear of the chamber. It sits to one side just out of view.

@@802Garage I’m enjoying the Q1 Pro so far and will have a video uploaded tonight or tomorrow on the Q1 Pro, but I will say the 5M is was faster with the same quality so for PLA, PETG, TPU I think it’s the better printer. Q1 Pro just has some many extra features and capabilities for the $479

@@Lost3DPrints $469! Only $439 with code 30DAYSGIFT too. Incredible value. The heated chamber and overall capability make it a great choice for people wanting to do a lot of functional printing.

did you try with the original plate? because the benchy is made for the original tray and the one you have has a certain temperature for the pla to set.

Hello friend what printer you recommended? Price and efficiency, adventurer, infimech or sovol sv8?
@Lost3DPrints

My SV08 shows up this week and I’ll have an updated video, but those 3 sprinter are pretty different. But for the money the Adventure 5m is probably my recommendation, the infimech is alittle more feature packs but not as reputable of a brand and hasn’t been very good on communication. The SV08 is a few months away if you order now and not as good as far as an out the box printer. 5m is currently printing faster than the X1C and Infimech while quality is the same. Also 5m is cheapest! So far I’m loving the 5m more than expected!

Ar you still limited to using Flashprint? The lack of support for other more modern and feature filled slicers has been a gripe with my Creator 3 Pro.

I'm pretty new so there could be other limitations but I'm not aware of but I've been using Orca with it and I can send prints / start printing over the network directly from Orca.

The textured PEI plate needs the filament to be "squished" into the plate a little more than the cool plate that came with the machine. It may be that the print isn't sticking properly since it is not getting the 0.1mm squish.
@Lost3DPrints

Kinda what I’m thinking, never had to adjust the z offset on the Bambu so will have to look into how. I tried to switch to the cool smooth plate with similar issues. Very inconsistent tho, 2-3 prints fine. Then it starts acting up again

@@Lost3DPrints The printer should do this automatically in the start gcode when it reads the little fiducial on the build plate. Have you cleaned the micro-lidar yet? It may be misreading the tag leading to the wrong amount of z-offset.

Clean your build plate with acetone if it is a PEI build plate, most Isopropyl alcohol is not pure like the 99.3%. Even the 91% will leave residue on the build plate.

The benchy model is dramatically different. They have a different hull angle altogether from your video, that's there is no "hull line". Your title of the video should be "Flashforge Adventurer 5M is great" because you spent so much time crooning about it that I almost forgot you had a Bambu Lab printer complaint. To the point where I thought I clicked the wrong video, which seems like click-bait to me. You then go on to say the X1C is "a nightmare" to tinker with. even though you don't give any specifics or examples. That's kind of the point of the printer so people don't have to tinker with it, so it seems like you didn't know that? Hard to tell with no specifics. You say the X1C takes way longer to start printing because of calibration, but you fail to mention if that is with bed leveling and automatic flow with each print which are on by default. Those take time and are optional. "This just to show guys 3D printing isn't perfect"... no it goes to show you are using the PEI sheet w/ a bed temp of 38 degrees which is asking for the print to fail. I am pretty sure that built-in pre-sliced file is set up for the cool plate (which would explain the low bed temp you are seeing) with glue. Also did you properly clean the PEI plate with a name brand detergent? Using IPA to clean it doesn't always get off the finger grease, sometimes it gets some and spreads around the rest.
@Lost3DPrints
@Lost3DPrints 15 күн бұрын
The X1C take 8mins to start printing with bed leveling and Flow checked, without them checked it takes 7mins. That was an oversight on the bed temp. Should have thought about when I ordered the X1C almost 2 years ago I believe they shipped with Cool plate and I had to buy the PEI plate extra. Makes sense the stock prints are setup for the cool plate. I’ve been having issues with the printer on and off for around a month now so just figured it was the X1C being a pain in the ass.

@@Lost3DPrints I appreciate you changed the title of the video. It's way more in alignment with the content of your video, and I do agree Flashforge made a great printer. I have over 2450 hours on my X1C printer that I started using in December 2023 (~6 months ago). There are definitely some quirks sometimes, I don't know any piece of technology that doesn't. But for the most part it is pretty much "print and play". I've had to replace PTFE tubes on my AMY because I choose to run more abrasive stuff through it. I have also had to replace a first stage feed because apparently yanking the filament out quickly is not ideal. 🙂All in all it has been a positive experience, and I understand from talking to my friends if I had started with an Ender I would have quit a long time ago, and I try to keep that in mind when I encounter new learning opportunity (notice I didn't say challenges) with my 3D printing. I hope some of my comments/suggestions help you get back to a fun experience with your printer.

@@hotfix7387 Absolutely, I'm dedicated to shedding light on some incredible budget printers like the FlashForge. It seems like too many folks transitioned from an Ender 3 to Bambu and now assume that all affordable printers will perform like the Ender. However, both the Infimech and the FlashForge have proven to be exceptional out-of-the-box printers, boasting faster printing speeds than the X1C while maintaining similar quality. The advancements in printer technology over the past two years since the X1C's release are truly remarkable. And achieving 2450 hours of printing in just six months? That's truly impressive!
