I thought that might be the case. Capturing Arrogante in the British Campaign was essential for winning easily. Thanks for the tip mate 🫡

@@CmdrTyrael yea for the British campaign it makes it smooth sailing, but not having one in the American campaign means you'll be running away a lot. Mostly just doing the objective, stealing any smaller ships you can, and gtfoing before their bigger ships ruin your sails or something.

@@CmdrTyrael isn't that the Spanish ship from the "fire ship" mission? Oh boy I TRIED to capture that ship once, it didn't go well.

@jaywerner8415 yeah mate. In my British campaign. I threw 1000 men into the fire to capture her. It worked 💀 1000 men for one S.O.L was good trade But then it gives you access to a mission to capture the Spanish treasure fleet.

I'm not sure what the conditions for that are. Some ships let you go min crew. Others make you use an officer. I thought it might be, if you had "extra crew" you could do it. Otherwise, you need an officer and his compliment.

@@CmdrTyrael Their is a TINY button on the UI (their is Cut Ropes and then their is THIS BUTTON) when you go to put an officer on a ship that just says "add min crew" and it will put like 20 sailors on the ship. the BEAR minimum crew that can man the ship. So its probably just having Extra crew on board helps. Of course the more crew on your ship the slower it is.

I've seen some love/hate regarding this game. Mostly, it plays just like the naval component of EMPIRE:Total war. Which I really enjoyed. But the campaign side is hardcore sink or swim. Have one or 2 bad missions or lose a critical fleet you're boned. Some missions are comically easy IF you have the right fleet. You can see clear snowballing in progression. But in my experience, using adaptive difficulty makes it worse. The moment you start to feel secure, the game will throw you 10 SOL to fight 🤣. That's why I just play normal and turn up the mission difficulty. HARD is unnecessary artificial difficulty. The ground battles aren't particularly fun or inspired,it does feel like a down grade compared to other line infantry games I've played. I think it's hilarious you can give artillery a skill that gives them +200% stealth 🤣. Also hate the fact that my entire British campaign was copyright claimed because they used music with no rights. 💀 (didn't make that mistake with this campaign)

@@CmdrTyrael Awww man, they hit you the Copyright Books, Dame.... That Sucks. But yeah, Its a Fun game until it isn't. The Navy Part is the Best part, But it does feel like "Bigger Boat = Better" and "Bigger Cannon = Better" from my XP with it. Not to mention you are better off replacing your Officers constantly with BETTER ones as opposed to Training up your existing officers. Like their are Certainly "BUILDS" you can do for your ships, which I could summarize as: SPEED, FIREPOWER, SURVIVABILITY.
