After having sailed the Croatian islands 3 times before with my parents, 2021 marked my first year as skipper on the Adriatic.
With two of my friends, we went on a 14-day sailing trip and covered about 270 nautical miles. With speeds up to 10.4 kts SOG and mostly sunny, we had excellent sailing conditions, confirming that early June can be a great period to explore the islands.
Croatia is truly beautiful, the people are super friendly and the food is great. A special thank you goes to Moli Onte Restaurant in Milna (Hvar) for their excellent food and hospitality.
Having done some different sailing routes in Croatia, I was able to choose the best destinations for this trip. This itinerary gives you a perfect balance between nature with good anchorages and lovely towns with nice marinas. It also combines the inhabited islands with many attractions, with the beautiful uninhabited islands of the Kornati. Two very different landscapes, both with their own charms.
My next sailing trip on the Adriatic Sea would include South-Eastern Croation destinations Korcula, Lastovo, Mljet and Dubrovnik. And the cherry on the cake would be Kotor in Montenegro.
Lastly, we wish to express our gratitude for the experience Angelina Yachtcharter have facilitated us with. The boat, service and organisation were fantastic. I participated in many boat charters and this one really stood out to me. We will be back!
