Illych Nightspear is not affected by the nerf. You got that wrong. I did too on first reading. But stratagems were nerfed, not abilities, and Nightspear’s hunter unseen is an ability. His squad cannot be shot outside of 12”

I found having a squad of 10 Dire Avengers with Asurmen in a Wave Serpent supported by a 6man squad of Windriders works really well. If you get first turn then you just dump them out on an objective, if moving second then get the Windriders and Serpent to clear the objective then move Asurmen and company onto the objective

In casual games I like to get Eldrad and a squad of warlocks in a falcon. Also Illic's ability is still 12" stealth as the rules only specify 18" for stratagems

For newbies like me i think starting off the Autarch on foot with Guardian Defenders is good choice, as you talked about The wayleaper feels like a high skill unit, and in my games she just sits at the back and dies on turn 4.

I rate shining spears a bit higher due to their considerable defenses and the 6 OC. They've stolen objectives from much more dangerous enemies and still provided good shooting into them. If they advance or charge they get a 4++ until your next turn. And a permanent -1 to hit is nice.

Great video ! I played my first game of Pariah and it was a deadly game of Eldar v Eldar. The new Secondaries are great for us. The Wayleaper still feels like too much of an investment for me. I wanna try out a normal Autarch with Defenders on the home objective instead my next game.

I use 1 unit of rangers and a unit of shroud runners as screens . The rangers also make great bait with the move ability. In conjunction with phantasm I have screened multiple units with just them. People who make the mistake of moving up to them first gives me d6 inches right or left towards them and in the way of another one of their units . And if able phantasm behind terrain to disrupt another day

Walls need to be paperthin if you plan to phantasm through with a 1" roll. Smallest base is 25mm and an inch is 25.4mm

Brilliant content as per, been 4:1 at my last 2 GTs whilst trialing out alternative builds without Farseers and just ignoring fate dice. Saving that 100pts for more guns and relying on prisms and voidweavers flat damage to get job done, using the native rr for the reliability. I am personally really enjoying the foot and bike warlocks - adds a lot of niche abilities which impact the micro game. Plus it does make you look cool when you have to explain all these random units people haven't seen in 10th ed lol Another big GT in Sheffield next week!

It's telling that there isn't a single mainline general purpose dmg-dealer / DPS unit left in the S-tier other than the Windriders and that's the result of the avalanche of nerfs throughout a gorillion "muh balinse" updates. It's like their nerf brakes got stuck and they couldn't stop nerfing this army even at a 47% win rate.

I feel like wraithguard with spiritseer in wave serpent is a great way to take and hold a no man's land objective AND tie up an equivalent amount of enemy points. But it is a lot of points!

I’ve got 2 hours of this to go, but I expect to see Wraithknight in S tier, simply because those girls look awesome.

Irillyth should have precision. Eldrad should be more like Lord Solar. He's a strategist, so 1cp per round, redeploy 3 units at start of round, and a much, much longer indirect Doom. Footseer now has more use now that indirect has been nerfed. Warlocks should have both powers and 30pts max. Its almost midnight here so will watch the rest later.

1:55:05 the sweep is actually 2 damage, which is incredibly useful against even space marines or other two wound light to medium infantry. Overall I think they are swingy but even still absolutely worth running one or even a few at their new reduced point cost.

Autarch with fights first and "extra" overwatch for guardian defenders to guard the backfield while farming cp and fate dice is well worth the points imo.

Isn't the hemlock good in killing infantry? like almost all vehicles have Dsth damage which does not spread. (same with warp hunter). Pls correct me if im wrong

Hello, I don't think it's enough to increase the tier but yriel gives +1 oc to the unit. Having a unit of corsairs or storm guardians with 30 oc and him being the warlord could give you the secret mission almost 100% safe if you manage to get there with a wave serpent. That yvraine is tender is not shared by a unit that opens ynari, which It enhances units like Harlequin Corsairs or Storm Guardians, giving them feel no pain and reviving models, which in shooting have devastating wounds just like in combat, just because they have increased their points a little, it doesn't seem to me that it isn't an auto include, especially in lists where you don't need it. or you want to the wayleaper for the extra cp. Even if the Visarch is good, I would leave him alone because he doesn't open up as many options as Yvraine. what do you think? I also think that a unit in Yvraine's wave serpent with any harlequins or storm guardians can give you the secret mission if you play carefully the beginning of the battle and then with the durability it gives to the unit. I feel like we are better served doing fixed secondary objectives. With the points increase it’s hard to bring enough unit to do whatever the card deal you. Cause a lot of them will cost you the unit. I am thinking cleanse engage. Behind enemy lines if they have an aggressive melee army.

Absolute castle wall of text incoming: Love these tier lists! I will however point out where I think you're a bit off xD As per usual I think you're a bit optimistic on some of these. Assuming S rank being (almost) an auto-include in competitive lists, A to pop up often in those lists. I'll say that B is for those eyebrow raisers that you see in strong tournament lists sometimes that you wouldn't expect being there, C just being kinda bad and D are the unmentionables. There's a few things I'll happily take your word on, as I don't own them myself, or don't feel like I have the insight to rate for competitiveness. Just going to mention Karandras and Scorpions real quick. I think you put them in the right spot, but it's not a certainty yet that they'll be deemed as good as I think he is by the pros. I think Karandras was great at 100, now he's downright phenomenal, and the Scorpions at 65 pts are a great roadblock if going second, with the potential for SO much more if going first. I think I'd put the Avatar on the high A-tier. He hasn't been a staple in a long time, and saw no changes. I think S is too high. He's great, and will see a lot of play in tournaments still, but not the cream of the crop. The Solitaire I also don't see popping up that often in the top lists. He is the definition of a glass cannon, and unless played almost to perfection does have the potential to be an overwatch or an opponent's cheeky maneuver away from being shot down and having done nothing. When he pops he pops off hard though, and deserves the S in such cases, but I think low to mid A is a lot more realistic of a rank for him. DJ, also not been a staple for a while. Has that "always the bridesmaid, never the bride" issue where I hear a lot of pros say they start lists with him in it, but is very often the guy that gets cut so that something else can fill a role that needs filling. I'd put him right around the Solitaire. Great by any standard, but not an auto-pick. Fire Dragons... bit of an inexplicable points increase they got the last time round. I don't rate these at S. As a package deal with Fuegan in a Falcon maybe, but rating one unit for the one package deal they shine in, I dunno? S feels more like something you'd always want to run by themselves, and the Dragons are not that. Low A seems a more fitting placing for them. Storm Guardians!! Oh man, I wish I had corsairs so I could test more battleline stuff. These are pretty much the only ones I run almost every time personally. I think they're an A tier unit. For their cost they bring great damage and versatility, but you have to admit that these are not staple competitive units xD Troupe: These are another one of those S as a (one specific) package, but lower by themselves kind of thing. I think what brings me down for these is that they're simply not good enough for mono quins. I adore mono quins, but troupe need too much help from outside the quins line to make that archetype a thing. With a Master and a Falcon they're good. With Yvraine and the Visarch they are preposterously strong when played well. By themselves I'd put them at low C though. Going for somewhere in the middle and calling them a B seems fair. I also don't think Shroud Runners are a staple. They are great, but not that great. A for me. I think Asurmen went from pretty bad to kind of alright with the new points. The only unit he can join still sucks IMO though. More on that later. I think he used to be a C, and jumped up to a B. Very playable, but I don't see him making it to successful tournament lists. Purely personal opinion, based mostly on my own incompetence, but I dislike the Yncarne. I watched him pop off before his big rules change, tried him out then and never got him to shine. Now he can't even do his thing anymore, before I could learn how to, so my very biased and unrealistic take on him is low B (: I don't think the options for ignore cover or stealth on windriders would put the Warlock Skyrunner in A, personally. I think he's alright, but not something which, as per your words, will pop up in a lot of competitive lists. High-mid B seems a good place. Absolutely love taking him along, but for the points I can see top lists having better options. I just don't really like the Wraithlord's 4+ to hit. It sucks that the only mitigation we have for that is tacking on a character that makes him so much more susceptible to all kinds of damage he was impervious to before. I want the old "If a seer is within x amount on inches, +1 to hit" rule back. Spiritseers work for the smaller wraiths, not for this one. 145 points means he's gone from low C to low B for me. Playable, but only when the mood strikes me. The sole Warlock is an interesting one. As a 1-of I'd bump this guy from B to A to be honest, right next to where I just put my Storm Guardians. These 2 together, I think might become the go-to Aeldari battleline. Auto 6 advance on this unit makes them deceptively quick. All the SG weapons have Assault as well. Add a fire and fade in the lategame for a grand total 20" move and they'd combo fantastically with an Autarch Wayleaper for Command Insertion. Dire Avengers... just blow man xD The fact that their damage competitors got a bit worse doesn't make them better imo. Pea shooters made of wet paper. Are a waste of a Falcon/Wave Serpent when you want to protect them, die too easily if you don't protect them at all. You need to be able to kill stuff with that overwatch if you want these to do the thing their rules are written for, which is be on objectives, but they simply can't. Looow low C is the highest I'd give them, in the off chance you're not fighting MEQ they'll do good. Both small Wraiths I'm a bit lukewarm on. I'll accept the B rank, but part of me wants to put them in C for their cost. Especially the Wraithblades. Lastly, Maugan Ra has no right to be as bad as he is. Everyone please just keep putting him in D till GW realizes he needs more than points cuts.

I'm not really sure how one can even play a Scorpion or a Cobra on your average GW/WTC table, even more so in Pariah. Does it just stay in its deployment square and tries to make up as much shooting as it can before being tagged in melee ? Also heads up, basic Corsairs are 70, not 75 points

As a new player who doesn't have that much experience I really wish you had time stamped each unit or provided a written list at least. Some of the Icons I can't really tell what they are (I can't see the Yncarne for example). Hate me if you must, but I really don't have time to watch a 2 hour video in order to extract the info I'd like to know about the models that I have. Don't get me wrong, I'm certain there is some really useful info in here.
