I used to think I was a Kelly girl for years - loved the grace Kelly box leather version. Birkin looked „ugly“ to me (the done up version online). Insta introduced me to the cool girl way of wearing it - sides winged out. 25 was my first and I fell in love ! Love the b now more !

I had to tell you Amy, initially when your revealed your black kelly, I was also wondering why you didnt choose another color since B/K/C are so hard to get.. But as I ponder further, I think your choices are great as B and K are quite different and you can never go wrong with black. Love both your Kelly and Birkin!

Thanks for this hotly anticipated video Amy! You have a very balanced viewpoint. I am 100% Kelly girl. I haven’t used my birkin for about a year now, so sad it is just a piece I like to look at now and again. After your mini Kelly you should think about a retourne Kelly, such a different vibe and looks really cool with the sides bat-winged out, which obviously you can’t do with the sellier. Just saying… 🤭

Great video, Amy! I totally agree with you, B and K are very different bags, and I too couldn't part with either of mine. I don't close my B when I store it either, but for the few weeks I've had the K I have closed the bag up (the stickers are still on). How do you store your K?

I use the original felt between the flap and just close the flap but leave the sangles floating in front :)

Both have their pros and cons..I love my Birkin 25 in Swift more than my Kelly 28 sellier..largely because I love my bleu Frida Birkin compared to the black Kelly. The Kelly Sellier is too formal and stiff for me. If the Birkin had a strap it would be the perfect bag

Until the Birkin comes with a strap, I’ll be Team Kelly. I think yours is the perfect size to go from day-to-night, something the Birkin doesn’t offer; nobody is taking a Birkin to dinner unless it’s fast food after work. The rose gold hardware is beautiful on your Birkin though.

I don't have a dark colored 25 birkin but really people won't wear it for a dinner? I get it not for a formal event unless you need like a vloging camera I guess... But I have several medium ish bags that I wear for evening because I just carry a lot. Am I completely insane and looking weird because of my ludicrously capacious bags? It's an honest question I would think a b25 would be an acceptable size for day to evening

Loved your review! Would you say the base of the B25 and K25 are the same length? I would assume so given they are both 25s, but in your pics, the B25 looks a lot wider. Thanks!
