Well done design team and manufacturers who have done a great job of recreating Victorian coaching stock. Finally enabling us pre grouping enthusiasts something to run our ornate liveried locos with. I am very pleased with look and manufacturing quality of these carriages looking forward to the release of these even more now.

I like the two-tone roof of the LMS ones.

The coaches I need are in Batch 3 The Metropolitan Railway coaches. I may get some Great Central and NCB ones from batch 2

These will be incredible to hook up to my Wainwright D class when that arrives

The ancient Hornby six-wheel 'Palethorpe's' liveried wagon also used an articulated central axle. I have a few Hornby BR-liveried generic four and six-wheelers which use the superior (in my opinion), magnetic reed switch for the lighting, enabling the coaches to remain lit when stationary on a DC layout. These Hatton's models really are lovely though.

I’ve got the LNER and LMS ones on preorder. Overjoyed with how these look, especially the full brake which looks absolutely magnificent. The LMS ones are just so, so beautiful

I have two sets currently on order, LNWR and GWR both lit versions, seriously thinking of the LMS versions now too, ideal to run behind my MR/LMS Compound number 1000. Great review as always Jenny.

The LNWR are my favourites, as you say they remind of a Royal Train. I will be picking up a few assorted liveries and styles to add to my layouts "Railway Museum"

The LNER and the GNR are on my list. What I would like to see from Hattons is the NER livery coaches. The NER had the Monopoly of the North-East of England and Scotland. There was one LMS line in that area. It is like the Crimson Lake of the LMS, but a bit darker. Martin. (Thailand)

Lovely review Jenny. I already have a set of four SE&CR coaches on order which can go with my SE&CR Terrier. I live on one of the former SE&CR lines in South East London where I did the London commute for over 30 years, hence my choice of rolling stock.

Very beautiful coaches. I'm hoping that Hattons will produce BR era 4 coaches for my new Hornby Terrier W13 "Carisbrooke."

Will definitely get some. Im personally looking at the departmental ones and perhaps getting some in BR carmine, weather em up and dump m in a yard siding as old junk like what happened during the end of the steam era.

Hmm - I think 'll stick with what I already have on pre-order - although the LMS ones do look tempting and like Jenny were not on my radar. Definitely can't afford rakes in all of the liveries. Nice review

Hello Jennifer. Many thanks for the video review. I would be interested in a comparison review between the Hornby and Hattons 4 and 6 wheel coaches when you can. In particular, can you please include a rolling friction review/comparison. I have 4 x Hornby Southern 6 wheel coaches with lights. They are beautiful coaches but do have a high rolling friction. My Hornby M7 has great difficulty in hauling more than 2 of the coaches around radius 2 curves. I've checked the wheel gauging (correct) and oiled the wheel bearings (made little or any difference). Did you or any of your subscribers have any such issues?

Great review on the hattons genesis coaches. As I so excited of them 🥰😍😍. There are just something special no question the best coaches I have ever seen in my life. What is saiding something as I been in this hobby from over 15 year. I'm the same Jennifer Kirk as I got 11 off this coaches on order with hattons that coast need to£400. There are LNWR,LQY,NCB blue. But seeing the LMS and brake down one I think I will be ordering some more. But I can wait to see want the midland railway crimson lake,BR red, Metropolitan Railway,SDJR going to look like beacuse if there look good I'm may order some more. I think my brank account is going to kill me lol.

Hi great review, I model GW/LSWR 1920ish. Do you think there is any demand for the GW crimson livery (1912-1923ish, I believe)? Kernow are planning a crimson version of the steam rail car which I have on order but all else RTR is in the choc'n 'cream livery, other than building some of the ratio coach kits! There seems to be a gap here that could be filled, perhaps.

The light is too bright. These would most likely have been oil gas lit, or when/if electric lit these would have been low voltage tungsten..... the gas would have beeb yellowish and dim and the tungsten brighter but slightly dim. Now I realize that brightness does not scale, but even so the lighting is too bright

I need a full set of LMS lit coaches and the 2 red BR utility coaches. I also want a full set of LNER lit coaches, but since they aren't teak they can wait, and a black BR utility van. Oh my aching wallet.
