-- Our wash bay is fairly similar to yours, Tom, but it's longer (can take a 45' trailer plus the prime mover). -- Smaller portable stairs. Means you can get nice and close to the equipment. -- The pit is deeper, and you can walk down there (via stairs) to make washing the underside of equipment easier. There are also outlets for air and pressure washer in the pit to avoid trailing the hoses down there. You stand on another removable grate, and the sump proper is beneath your feet. -- We use compressed air for our spray on foam/degreaser/whatever. Just grab the relevant spray pot and connect it to whichever airline you want to use. If I think of anything else, I'll get back to you.

Perfect timing, just getting ours perfected. I’ve got a direct from well bulk wash feed, as well as a filtered water feed for the final rinse. Lots of banjo fittings for extensions etc. Spray tank there too, so there’s a lot of pipework going on but I think it’s about right.

Very good and practical for the UK, and easily cleaned out . But the indoor heated drive through one on Larson Farms is amazing, but there sums are not as good as yours.

The only other things I think it could need is a nib wall around the edge to keep water on the concrete and a big fire hose type thing

Tom I've been looking for a video like this for ages that shows construction of a farm wash bay. Thank you very helpful and I really like your other content. You mention about water and mud but is there an issue regarding diesel/oil etc that may be on machines. You may not want to comment on this but is this the sort of project that would require PP?
