Wondering how we make those massive balloon installations? Watch this fun time-lapse to see the BTS.
First, to build our garlands, or in this case the balloon wall, we use fishing line (40lb) I know, there are different methods which I can show you on a later video, but this is what we like 😊
We secured the balloons from anything we can... In this case, we used the brick wall, those large wooden boxes shown on the video and even the ceiling
In case you're wondering how the gender was revealed... they had a Sumo wrestling match in which the winner between the boy or girl would reveal the gender (not shown in the video out of respect of the clients' privacy but it was so fun!).
We always try to make our balloon garlands, balloon walls or any type of arrangement as organic as possible by incorporating balloons of all sizes (base with 16" and 11" balloons, then we add our giant balloons and lastly we add small 5" balloons).
The task was to create a beautiful focal point and at the same time cover all of those wood boxes in the corner. It was a genius idea 💡 to cover some of those boxes with black fabric so we didn't have to cover all of the gaps within the balloons. It added a much more feminine touch and it enhanced the organic style we love. Definitely something to keep in mind.
