As with any car the paint and trim will fade over time. Sometimes you can touch up the trim with some paint, although sometimes if you're looking for that OEM Appeal you might as well go ahead and replace them, which can get pricey! Often times the trim can become the hardest and most agitating thing to find over time, not to mention after it becomes NLA from the manufacturer!
Today I'm doing a mix of both. Well, some of my trim has already been repainted, but I'm replacing some of it as well. Primarily the t-top bar hook and the Side window mouldings!

Slicktop and avoid most of this mess lol I'm not counting on this dyno as a tuning session. Not yet anyways. But we'll at least see how much it's making

New T bar looks awesome!!. That tiny fan in the map light trim is the ambient temp sensor. Most start making noise just like ours did. I disconnected ours years ago with no issues. Great Video as usual Billy!! Good info about the window trim, Definitely need to do ours soon. Keep up the great work fam. :)

Thats the ambient air temp sensor, for auto climate control. I JUST, ordered the ttop center oem for $128. Really excited.

Hey Billy, I noticed that on your window trims there should also be a plastic pin that locks it in place from the inside behind the door seal towards the B-Pillar side. Is possible yours have gone missing but this may be helpful for others who are replacing them 👍

Heat down here has been brutal idk how you do it bro, I snagged a portable AC for the garage so I can't have any excuses lol Also FYI the little fan you pulled out of the t top area is a temp sensor for the auto AC

Man I don't even know how I do it. Lol TBH I didn't even look at the temp sensor long enough to see it was a fan. Paid 0 attention to that thing lol

I installed some blaster z ttop seals last year. My t-tops are nearly impossible to close and open now since it's so tight.i was hoping they would soften up over time but unfortunately they haven't

I just did the T top bar and all the trim along the top on mine. Paid $450 after tax and shipping for the whole lot. Trying to get those clips in the correct spot was a pain. unfortunately one T Top cannot be done with the amount of rust it has inside. Been leaking for too long.

The rust in the t-tops is unfortunately common.. many don't even know it's there until it's too late. I was able to weld in some new sheet metal when I painted my car but it is not something for the faint of heart..

@@Billy_Built Yea, passenger side wasnt awful but definitely need to tear it down and treat it, was just more focused on resealing to get rid of the leaks. Drivers side itll be welding in new metal or taking another t-top and stripping it down to swap the glass since all mine has the VIN etching.
