All that matters mix-wise is that nothing sounds muddy when the whole song is in mono. Other than that it's up to you.

Love this plugin. I use it LOADS to get a vocal "Shape" before processing. even with everything off it helps isolate that vocals tone. Nice channel

Question: why does the dry vocal already sound processed ? It is definitely compressed already right ? That makes the mixing so much easier ... often times I’m mixing vocals that sound like you and I talking to each other .. no effects no compression at all, and it doesn’t sound like your vocal- crisp, compressed and ultra clean

I think it's important to point out that the CLA plugins do not substitute mixing a vocal. It's a more of an effect to add some extra character to an already mixed vocal.

True that. The vocals I used where already cleaned up except for the De-Esser but in all honesty after you clean it up CLA is all you need .

My opinion means nothing, but I own CLA Vocals and Butch Vig Vocals. Less guess work in terms of the nomenclature of the UI vs the actual effects, and it's more versatile in my experience. I also love the two saturation types BVV comes with, and how they sound.

When I use the compression on this plug in,it adds a tape saturation Afterwards I try and use Fab Filter Saturn and it distorts cos CLA Vocals already adds its own type of sound

For me, once the vocal has been 'produced', i.e. auto-tuned and EQ, maybe compression. For me it is a mix plugin although can be in the producing. Just cut out what you don't want form the vocal then add this on to help it sit right in the song.

I can open it, just when I download it, it'll start, crash and stop. Idk if having the demo version in waves central has anything to do with it. But I've tried downloading that and I've had the same issue.

It's just one of my tracks that I made with the new analog stuff. In the future I'll make how to's for them. just gotta figure out how to get the synths to record in Ableton and allow me to record my audio as well
