Today we’re talking about editing reels for Facebook and Instagram using Capcut.
If you are frustrated with the editing limitations inside the Facebook or Instagram platforms, I’m going to show you how to save time and your sanity.
I have gotten so many specific questions on my ultimate guide to facebook reels video about how to edit or position text on a reel, how to add music at a certain point in a reel and even one person said they have different editing functions in reels than their own son. Clearly, facebook/Instagram/meta is not making it easy on all of us to learn the platform completely.
If we’re going to learn about reels, we need an editing system that works for everyone.
So, instead of wasting time trying to edit within the platform, I have loved using Capcut lately. Capcut is a free mobile app for your phone that works on iphone and android devices.
I’m going to walk you through creating a reel, adding text, and audio. I’ll even show a cool trick where you can download audio from an Instagram reel and import it into Capcut.

Thank you for addressing my question I posted on your previous video with a brand new video!!! I have Capcut but haven’t used it. I have been using Inshot but I see now it lacks some cool features you described today. Also, Facebook is still in the development stage so it can get frustrating. I'm confused about Facebook rules for these reels... Like the things that cannot be monetized. It was insane when I actually clicked in and read all the fine print and rules for which content can actually be monetized or eligible for And they mentioned something about static videos or static text or videos with a lot of text or text only I mean it just went on and on and by the time I got finished with this list I was like oh my gosh it seems to be very limited according to these rules about what people can even talk about or do reels on and still be eligible to get paid It had this whole list like don't talk about mental health issues... etc like over a hundred things, and strangely it's things that I see people making content on all the time and getting millions of views I see a lot of text on the reels... Etc So I'm still really confused about what I can actually put out and still remain eligible for that content to be monetized and get paid on it Is it okay to have text in my videos, and is it okay to talk about certain things... I'm still kind of doing research on all that But I ran across your video specifically about text And so I just thought I would ask. I mean I would think they wouldn't even give us the option to put text on there And do certain things if we weren't going to be able to use it and still be monetized. Thank you for any advice.
