Wow I'm impressed. Usually when American vloggers host real estate agents, they typically can barely speak english much less tell you where the market is based upon percentages. Actual information is a blessing in Thailand. Usually re agents will tell you how pretty the building is, what a nice day it is. You know useless information you can gather on your own. Great video. I'm looking forward to the others.

I’ve been living in Bkk since 2016 and I can assure you rental prices are higher than before the p*ndemic. One bedroom flats that were rented for $500 (THB15,000) now are $660 (THB20,000). High end 2bd condos which started at $1,300 (THB40,000) now start from $2,000 (THB60,000) upwards in prime locations like Phrom Pong, Thong Lor, Riverside, Sathorn, Chitlom.

Hello I just joined your channel after watching you on Johnny channel. I am also from US Buffalo but now living in Pattaya. I pay 7000 for Studio condo. But just wondering what I can find in Bangkok if any at that price as close to city as possible? Thanks again. Have a safe flight back to work in US.

Hi Charles, thanks for stopping by. I’ve been to Buffalo - VERY COLD - I think I enjoy the weather in Thailand better 😅 To answer your question, you can definitely find something decent in that price range, it’s just a matter of how far it is from public transportation (BTS, MRT, etc) and how far it is from the city center. If you get a place along the BTS (or MRT) line, I don’t think it’s a big deal if it’s a little further out from city center. I would suggest an area like Bang Na or Bearing.

Sure, it’s Phra Khanong OR On Nut. It’s two separate neighborhoods that are adjacent to each other.

Question if I get into Bangkok with four pieces of luggage for a year is there a place I can store while I look for a long term rental?

I believe there are storage lockers in the ground floor (basement) of Suvarnabhumi airport, but I'm not sure the cost or how long you are allowed to leave them there.
