Great video, I would also add that leading the shots when someone is moving is a bit different acording to targets speed. I did testing for 8x zoom, because that is my most prefered zoom, If enemy is crouching, you want to aim somewhere between the first dot and zero so around the middle should be fine, if target is walking you want to line it up with first dot, if they are sprinting 1.2-1.5 dots, if they are running in holster you want 1.75-2 dots. If you see octane with stim, add 0.5 dot and if you see someone crouchslide it should be somewhere from 0.5-0.75. This works at WHATEVER distances, tested it a lot of times, so it does not matter if target is away 100m or 300m. I forgot to add, this test was done on Longbow which has slightly faster shots then Sentinel, acording to some info I found, the time until shot travels 150m for Longow is 128ms and for Sentinel it is 150ms. That means it has slower shots and you will need to lead a bit more, somewhere around 0.1 addition should be fine. Kraber also has slower shots, 178ms for 150m, so for it, add 0.2. But the best way to figure it out is to play for yourself, just concentrate on taking those shots and try to make little "eye memory". Hopefuly this will be usefull for you guys!

7:58 as someone who's best weapon/ favorite weapon is the Longbow I agree with everything he says here I think the reason I'm better with the Longbow as opposed to the sentinel is because it's a lot more forgiving of misses and it has a higher rate of fire

Thank you so much for the explanation on the bullet range and shot dots. Now I understand why when I’m aiming at the head through the scope and my target is standing still, there been moments when the bullet just misses by hair.

As a sniper main, I agree mostly with all of these. Thing is, I am not one of those “trick shot snipers” but instead a “sniper” I use sniper and attack from 300m or 200m not close. Thanks for more tips Man.

great guide as always. would just add that the scopes represent a 100m zero, so the point of impact and point of aim for 100m are the same - at zero. The range between zero and 200m represents the ranges between 100m and 200m. 150m would be roughly halfway between zero and the first mil.

I got bored and got Apex today so after doing the starting bit I practiced in the firing range for a hour and decided the sniper role was the one for me so as bloodhound I jumped into my first round and instantly found one of the sniper guns a a medium/short range semi auto gun and I got about 10 kill assists and and after I would shot the enemy my team would take them out... we won the round and I became a champ on my first round! Bloodhounds scan is soo good for helping the team and finding hidden targets!

The sentinel is a sniper rifle... I thought it was a shotgun?.

Well I was hoping for explanation as to why I can't hit anything past 100m in this game, why the snipers just aren't predictable. I don't know how to describe it, I just can't get them to hit. Apex is the only game where I just can't figure out the snipers.
