Hear me out: Music licensing is a pain for a few reasons, mostly getting the actual license, but it's going to be annoying to have anyone talking about our game in videos getting copyright strikes or having to do some weird editing around it. In something more serious, the license would be important, but this is a fun fighting game. To get around licensing Huey Lewis and the News, Patrick Bateman doesn't talk about Huey Lewis and the News, he talks about *the game's soundtrack.* When his Fatality activates, the opponent is dropped on the chair like Paul, the music stops, and Patrick plays the ENEMY'S character theme. Imagine a humiliation greater than losing to Bateman, and having YOUR theme song play as HE chops you into bits. The best part? In the movie, Patrick kills Paul Allen, then tells people to call him Paul. If you score a Fatality, the match ends with Patrick's victory screen, but his name is listed as the other person, implying *he stole the enemy's name.* The ULTIMATE humiliation.

Also, the thought of Beetlejuice vs Patrick Bateman absolutely sends me into orbit

You have no idea the pop you got from me when you revealed that you would want to add *El Santo* to your hypothetical roster. He was a 110% non factor for a game like this and was the biggest twist in the video. The legend of the Mexican Superman must spread.

Another Faction "Fatality" that might be interesting is the target getting caught by Mystery Inc. Just, Shaggy and Scooby run across the screen and the dazed and near-dead fighter chases them only to get caught in an elaborate and thematically appropriate rube goldberg machine of a trap laid by the rest of the gang. It has a higher chance of happening to fighters with masks, for obvious reasons, and probably wouldn't show up against the heroic characters. I know Scooby Doo isn't horror by any stretch of the imagination, but they ARE one of the most well-known and iconic monster hunting teams ever created, so they'd probably manage to get by through prestige like Elvira and El Santo did.

I have an idea for what the story mode of this could be: It's the month of All Hallows Eve, and a group of teens (made specifically for this game) would be hanging out at camp. They find the necronomicon and read it for the hell of it. That's when they awaken Pazuzu. Classic horror setup. Pazuzu would be trying to complete an ancient ritual that would unleash all the demons of hell onto the world. But he needs to gather enough fear and bloodshed to achieve that. So he summons a bunch of the roster to spread chaos and murder across the city. Some of them would even be working with him like Tall Man, Freddy, Pinhead, Pennywise, and David to name a few. The main teen would try to look for a man he's heard of who could do something about it. This is where he finds Ash Williams, who'd be the defacto main protagonist (being the most famous horror hero). He agrees to lend a hand (no pun intended) and goes to Elvira and the Crypt Creeper for help. Elvira summons all the roster's horror heroes and they all go on a journey to put a stop to Pazuzu and all the other monsters and maniacs. Meanwhile, Beetlejuice would serve as a neutral party to the whole situation. Occasionally giving the heroes advise and clues in a very Beetlejuicy way, while also checking in on the villains and getting into some scuffles here and there. One last thing: Because the Gremlins will be a part of it, let's make the main teen's sidekick be Gizmo. You all know a team up with Ash and Gizmo would be adorable.

The rage meter for carrie could be called something like "prom queen meter" or something like that which directly references what its inspired by. Aside from it being obvious.

The stage fatality for the overlook hotel could be them getting knocked out of a window, land in the middle in th hedge maze, and then cut to their frozen over corpse, implying that they couldn't make it out. There could even be an achievment called "freezerburnt" if freddy gets this stage fatality

A concept for the stages you could do is crossover stages, where the background has two different franchises crossing over like how PlayStation All-Stars stages were. So the Dawn of the Dead mall start with zombies but then halfway though the match the robots from Chopping Mall appear and kill zombies. The Jaws stage could reference any of the killer sea life movies that came in the movies wake like Orca or Piranha and they could fight. Or maybe the fog from The Fog rolls in and we see the killer ghosts. The Sawyer's farm could get over run by Critters, the beast from Poltergeist could appar in the Amityville house, etc etc There's a lot you could do.

It would be interesting if Carrie’s normals & commands sort of acted like Phoenix Wright in UMvC3, where a lot of her “attacks” are just offscreen bullies hazing her and they happen to affect the opponent as well, and as her telekinetic properties slowly awaken those moves gain new properties Like a projectile where someone throws a Dodgeball at her. At the start of the game she gets hit by it and it bounces off her as a weak and awkwardly-traveling projectile, but as she develops it, she manages to catch it with her telekinesis and throws it forwards as a more powerful traditional projectile. Then in full on max blood rage mode she just yeets the entire metal ball rack at you.

Here's an idea that would work for a single player horror game. Base it off the original ending of Little Shop of Horrors where the plants take over the Earth, and your part of a secret task force that is trying to kill the plants. However, they can only be killed by electrical based weapons when they are a giant plant monsters. This could tie in the theatrical cut and the OG ending so well, and the Little Shop of Horrors franchise could use a game. Also Sweeney Todd would work as either a fighter or a stage representing him since he was one of the most iconic horror musicals of all time.

Was kinda hoping Sam and Dean from Supernatural were gonna somehow sneak into this list, but considering there's the team hero faction, they have a faction fatality in my head and therefore I'm happy.

"I have 12 more characters" Okay, then next October make a hypothetical sequel to this hypothetical Horror Fighting Game. Maybe some of the DLC characters become new main roasters based on a series of polls ranking the popularity of your picks for this entire two parter. Then the least favored characters get swapped out for one of the 12 you have left over, and the remainder are DLC. The least favored can still make cameos as faction mascots. Thus an annual series is born for the channel, giving you an excuse to talk more about your love of horror mixed with fighting games. Likewise, you can switch off. What fighting game, or just video game characters would fit into different movie franchises? Hypothetically, how would a Dark Stalkers movie play out if it were to be adapted? I think something vaguely like Hugh Jackman's Vanhelsing, or the 99/2000's Mummy franchise. Just dumb fun.

If there was a rivalry system for this arcade mode of this game, a great easter egg would be the game displaying a movie poster for the rival fight, ala “Freddy Vs. Jason”. For example, if Candyman and Sadako were rivals, the poster could be a TV showing Sadako’s cursed tape, with Candyman existing in the TV screen’s reflection. Another example would be if Leatherface and David were rivals. The poster could have Leatherface taking a bite out of a cut of human steak while staring down David, who would be drinking human blood out of a convenience store cup. Just something fun as an extra.

He's got a fun rockstar personality and a pretty awesome weapon to boot with his power-drill electric guitar. Definitely feeling an Alien Invaders Faction introduced for Season 2 of the DLC. If you do that, the Number 1 pick for that faction HAS to be the Martians from Mars Attacks. And if you're doing a Mad Scientist faction, you gotta have Dr. Frankfurter from Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I think the Predator's buff would work better not when both are in their bottom 3rd of health but when both are one round away from winning. that way the round can start with the Predator taking off their mask, doing their roar then the announcer goes "final round. Fight!"

And the rules could be: 1. Cardio - dodge an enemy grab with a dash 2. Double tap - make a combo using at least 1 gun attack 3. Travel Light - dash into melee range of the enemy 4. Don't be a Hero - successfully block an enemy super 5. Be a Hero - stop an enemy super by attacking them 6. Limber Up - crouch and jump a total of 6 times 7. When in doubt, know your way out - see the entire stage (go from far left to far right of stage) 8. Enjoy the Little Things - get the full benefits of eating a twinkie 9. Ziploc bags - empty your ammunition for the first time in a round 10. Bowling Ball - Land an overhead on the enemy 11. Another great Build the Roster, I love Horror too and hearing you gush over these icons theorising their ovest is always a great watch. Glad to see Cage did get in and with imo his best horror film, Mandy. Also glad to see Asami make it in with factions, was curious how she could potentially work outside a stage cameo. Only other ones I could include is Jerry from voices as a faction kill where he falls on the opponent with his knife and the K.O. screen is him putting their head in his Fridge, and one for Sidney where she shoots the opponent, they get back up and she gets the final shot. Also a Suspiria dance academy stage.

If you do a sequel featuring the 12 other horror fighters you couldn’t fit in, i hope Brandon Breyer from Brightburn is in. He’s literally just an evil Superman as a horror slasher.

I’d lose it if Ghostfaces intro dialogue to Bateman is him calling Patrick pretending to be Dorsia

The Winchester would be a great stage where you can cameo different survivers at different times, in the corners you have two stafe interactions, the pool table where you grab a stick and start whacking your opponent like the don't stop me now bit and then in the other corner you have the Winchester which you take of the wall shot your opponent and then throw away. For the Fatality you kick your opponent into a window where zombies burst through and start ripping open the loser like the Choke on them bit or the scene from Shain of the Dead.

Only 1 thing missing to make this truly ultimate. A monster house stage.

I have an idea for a season 4 of DLC 1. Gabriel May from Malignant, would be interesting because he fights backwards, if you seen the movie you know what i'm talking about and seeing a moveset based on this would be cool to see. 2. Eric Draven from The Crow, do to his Invulnerability Eric would have his health constantly regenerate during the fight. 3. The Undertaker from WWE, if we are going to have El Santo in this game we have to have the professional wrestler based off of Voorhees and Myers in here too. 4. Spencer from Ice Nine Kills, In the Ice Nine Kills music videos we see Spencer protray alot of horror movie characters so having a character that uses the same abilities as other characters on the roster would make him the Kirby of this fighting game. 5. Shaggy and Scooby-Doo, the idea that I have for these characters is that they are keep away fighters, I think this would be accurate to the characters because in the movies and tv shows Shaggy and Scooby-Doo just run away from the monsters. 6. Michael Jackson, Michael Jackson created one of the most well know horror music videos "Thriller" and if you have seen the video game Michael Jackson Moonwalker he alright has a moveset P.S. Please have Shaggy's level three super be him just turning into Ultra Instinct Shaggy you know for the memes. The idea of Shaggy hiding in the corner of the stage as Michael Myers get closer to him then you hear off stage "Would you do it for a scooby snack" then a flash of light covers the screen and all you see is Shaggy with a eight pack and glowing eyes as he says "Yes, I will do it for a scooby snack" then he just precedes to beat Michael Myers to a pulp.

I personally like the idea of having each character's story mode cutscenes have different characters or themselves doing it. Like Michael gets Loomis, Jason gets Pamela, and Amanda gets John.

I know it's been three weeks, but I just had an idea for the fighting game's select-your-fighter screen: Have the fight take place in some haunted movie theater. Each character being depicted with some sort of movie box art, and when you select them, they put the tape/disc/reel in, showing the character on a small tv. Once the fighters are selected, we shift to the big screen, showing [movie] previews of the stages. When all is ready, the the room dims with a haunting glow, as we witness a movie crossover between horror icons [Fight!]

WE WANT YOUR EXTRA SEASONS!!!!

Just gonna say (SPOILERS AHEAD) Instead of Nick Cage from Mandy, if you wanted just a guy/stance fighter, you could’ve put Bill Paxton. He’s died to a million different things (Terminators, Predators and Xenomorphs from the top of my head), and therefore has a large movepool (making him the ultimate reference character), his story mode goal could instead get fatalitied by every character instead of actually winning, and the amount of skins/stances he could have to reference everything you wish you could’ve.
