Same here, it’s a very winnable matchup if you don’t waste your first couple of turns playing cards, just ink and pass till 3, then drop Maleficent and rabbit and you’ll start winning more games

I took my own version of EA tempo to a small set champs and was able to take the W. It was a sea of R/A but i felt super confident going into those matches with my list.

I used a version of this Steelsong deck at my store set champs for my first championship and it did super well! Didn’t make the Top 8, but I had a great time and played way better than I anticipated!

Thanks for posting such an informative video. I'm debating on the best way option for my 8 year old son. What is the best competitive deck that is relatively straight forward. He ran a puppy deck for set 3 but I'm hoping to get him something more competitive (but not requiring too much strategy).

Just done one today, went out at top 8, but against 30 people, so not beating myself up too much. Top 4 was interesting - 1st and 2nd were both Emerald/Steel, but then next was Amber/Amethyst followed by Ruby/Amethyst. So no Ruby/Sapphire or Sapphire/Steel in top 4, which really surprised me. What annoyed me is I went against 3 E/S in a row 😂 that killed me. I played Amber/Ruby (Mufasa) and I actually feel it held its own, despite what people say.

At my store championship there were only 4 E/S decks including me and none of them made it to top 8! S/S was what was run and it was a terrible matchup for us all! This is what I love about Lorcana… anything can happen!

Getting my deck ready for the july 27 tournament at my LGS... got lots of olid options for Steel-Emerald, Amber-Steel, anything-Steel, anything Emerald.... ruby sapphire I got my 3 Mauis and 4 tamatoas ready with a lone Dragon maleficent and 3 be prepared if needed to run the high curve ruby-sapphire pawnage with my lucky dime and Ariel with +3 lore with items

Why do you think the ruby Amethyst Match up is so bad against blue steel ? Because of the time? I mean after you play the dime your winrate should go up by a Lot. And with enough Location removal you're good i guess? Mostly I end up in a draw against R/A

I have dropped my Cindys as much as I hated doing that. Most of the decks I have played have managed to get rid of her after turn 2. I tested it and inktable took her out without even getting a chance to sing with her. I added vanessa because while she isnt out til turn 2 she lasted a little longer.

I think you are severely underestimating a fine tuned amber emerald deck. We had one breeze through our champs yesterday undefeated. makes Bucky discard lol like child play

I won my store championship today with emerald steel bucky but I was a little different than all the " meta" decks because I only ran 3 of most cards due to not having them which allowed me open spots for tech cards such as cricketee, vision slabs for the annoying rapunzels/ purple bells. Also allowed me to tech in cards like fang to also help in the mirror, also played a 63 card deck this way. Sometimes tech cards are nice to add. Won me a few very close matches.

@@johnmccullough4183 Nope, straight rip. The ba-booms and tink were enough to take care of 3 willpower characters. Although I got lucky with match ups in the top 8. The deck folded to the bucky diablo opener and steel song was a rough match up as well the one time I played it.

Emerald steel should have a tier 0 I feel. Deck is so good. And if you have the nut draw I feel like it’s almost impossible to lose. Of course things can happen but it just puts you so far ahead.

How does Amethyst Steel do against Ruby Amethyst? What is the best deck to play if you want to beat R/A control?

I’ve played this matchup a lot and beat purple steel in top 4 yesterday 2-1. it’s a 50/50 depending on who draws more cards and can protect a castle first. The best deck to beat r/a is definitely green steel but if the r/a player knows how to play that matchup optimally it’s close to a 50/50 as well (I am 5-1 in games this weekend against green steel as a r/a player

I beat R/A twice 2-0 with A/S in set champs. I agree it's probably 50/50. Castle is definitely the key card. Don't play too hard into be prep and once they clear the board, drop your castles and protect them. Also, if you hit the spell book, it's straight gas.

Purple steel is B tier imo hasn’t won a single event except the Ravensburger event and that was a tiny sample size

Yeah Pixelborn on the happy engine did get shut down but Pixelborn connect is currently live for webcam play.

@@nomass7600 It was actually a cease and desist to Pavell to stop using the card images. They are doing webcam play now but you can play other TCG on the engine. So since people own the cards pixelborn connect is in the clear. But I don’t think Speci will stream playing pixelborn since he’s doing the casting for rb.

Not hard to build a deck to destroy it.. something with excess card draw and removal.. like Amethyst Steel
