Honestly, my favorite part of making this whole video were the title cards and sort of “graphic design” type stuff, it’s just so fun.
My least favorite parts were scripting, because it literally took me 3 months, and editing/audio editing because I have to listen to my extremely grating voice for hours
Just hope my mid annunciation, pronunciation, and line delivery didn’t get in the way of your enjoyment of the video…

The cheating thing happened in my copy of Tomodachi Life. I forgot that one of them was in a relationship, but they accepted a date from someone else and got together, leaving the other partner immediately depressed lol

14:01 when they mean musical mii abortion, is Adeline, which is a Japanese exclusive tune. A video on KZfaq spread a rumor that it's an abortion song due to the sad tone. Even commenter's believe they had miis say for example: "The baby isn't moving" "We can just try again right?" "What will (husband) say?" "Im sorry, I'm so sorry.."

Also yes, a whole video on the Miitomo rabbit hole would be a very interesting watch. I've seen many a video on the Miiverse retrospective and its rabbitholes, but less-so on Miitomo despite once using it back when it was around.

19:05 Miis can indeed cheat on each other, and I think it may happen if a Mii has a low relationship value with their partner. It's something that happened on Big Yellow's Tomodachi Life Season 2 stream. 20:58 It's also worth noting that Kobazco, a modder for several Nintendo games has gotten same-sex relationships working in proper and effectively made every Mii pansexual (basically how The Sims worked for a long time) but iirc they still mentioned that natural same-sex confessions don't seem to occur, which is the only hurdle afaik because she got everything else to function. Similarly, there's also a text/audio mod now that makes almost all gendered phrases and terminology neutral.

I remember playing Miitomo in like 2017 since I had finished Tomodachi Life to an extent. I wasn’t aware it had been shut down as I deleted the app a few months or so after playing. Kinda upsetting to see :( Great video!

I really wish Nintendo would include Miis more. I was unlucky enough to get into Nintendo games around the release of the Nintendo Switch and didn't get the chance to play games like Wii Sports and Tomodachi Life. (I'm still crossing my fingers for Tomodachi Life on the Nintendo Switch though.) Edit: I am also hoping for Nintendo to include same-sex relationships in the Tomodachi Life Nintendo Switch port too!

I CANT BELIEVE IM TWO WEEKS LATE TO THIS MASTERPIECE OF A CHANNEL- As popular as the Miis are, you don’t see a lot of popular videos on websites like KZfaq, so seeing another fan it wonderful! (Being that typically when I talk about Games Involving Tomodachi Life or Miitopia, people just aren’t very interested.) I always love seeing content like this! Okay, I was thinking for a bit on what a cool video topic could be.. I know this sounds like a stupid idea, but I think we should praise the 3ds's wonderful UI, many 3ds games have amazing UI, ORAS still has the best Pokémon UI to this day, and the 3ds home menu is so, SO much better than the switch..

Nah I agree, I feel like the Wii, 3Ds and (arguably) Wii U were like, peak nintendo IU. The switch’s IU isn’t necessarily bad, it serves its purpose well enough. But it is boring, EXTREMELY boring

I love you Mii centric content, you are definitely fit for taking on videos like Tomodachi Life or Miitopia recaps on their history as a game and what they brought to the table as Mii centric games. I feel like you could also do videos on hypotheticals like what you would like for a Mii Maker to be or for the next Tomodachi Life to be

Nintendogs + cats featured miis heavily in what I think was a really fun way You could of course have your mii, and when you went to parks with other people, you could see their miis and stuff. The competitions are all run by specific miis and the other competitors are miis But the best thing was when you took your dogs on walks, you could encounter 29 other miis that would all have their own name and a specific dog with them that you could play with, so they were like actual npcs. Your dogs could even have unique relationships with specific dogs. I also remember miis in nintendogs being weirdly tall compared to other games

I have played 5 games with Mii costumes and I think that’s interesting of them having so much cosmetic choices. We have Miitopia, Tomodachi Life, SSBU, SMM2, the sports games, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I can picture a mod for something like SSBU to have all of these costumes to full access.

the wii themed editing is so charming omg!! also my tomodachi life game recently had a cheating incident (and multiple attempted homewreckers!!) Muffet and Waluigi were happily dating and then WARIO asked her out. she left Waluigi. she's a gold digger, so it didn't shock me much. then multiple Miis asked out my lookalike's sweetheart. she either said no or just didn't show up!

I'm pretty sure the whole lack of gay marriage thing in Tomodachi life is because of A. Gay Marriage only recently being legalized in places around the time Tomodachi life was released B. It was only around a month ago that it was ruled that the ban on gay marriage in Japan is against the Japanese constitution according to Article 24(1 and 2) and Article 14(1), and while it's still technically not legal to have same-sex marriages in Japan, steps are finally recently being taken to allow gay marriage and to protect same-sex couples from discrimination. So yeah, gay marriage was, and still is (as of the writing of this comment) not legal in Japan. And since Nintendo is a Japanese company, there's not much they can do on that regard. And as a queer person, while I'm bummed that gay marriage isn't in Tomodachi life, it makes sense considering the time of release (both in Japan and worldwide) and Japan's gay marriage laws (or lack-thereof).

There’s something that I don’t think was talked about in this video but it’s a creepypasta about Mii’s called Wii Deleted You. I used Kaerutomo, the fan revival server for Miitomo. However Kaerutomo has been offline for about a month now with no explanation, so until the developers fix it there's no way to make Mii sprites the way I did here, unfortunately

Although I have a few nitpicks of things I wish Nintendo added in Miitopia’s Mii Maker (like covering the nose), the amount of creativity and how well people made Miis based on characters from various franchises always got me coming back. A lot of them are so well done and had a lot of time put into them it’s almost scary. I wish most of the codes for those Miis were still active 😭 I have a soft spot for Nintendo land (Totally not because of Monita and the Zelda attraction). Wii Sports Resorts helped me get used to motion controls before I got Zelda: Skyward Sword meanwhile every other player struggled with the controls to the point of contempt. Waiting for Tomodachi Life 2 is like waiting for a Miitopia 2 (I still want both). Nintendo promising to add the option of adding gay relationships in a future installment is like Erin Hunter writers promising to not perpetuate ableism in Warrior Cats… by not making more disabled characters. In Nintendo’s case, Miitopia is the closest we got to a “gay” relationship, but still not enough and there was a speculation that Miis were dying out in recent years, given the lack of attention to them. One of the weirdest damn things about Tomodachi Collection is that adults and kids can marry. While as I was playing the emulated version on my laptop, one of my Miis wanted to get into a relationship with one of my other Miis, I deleted that Mii and made a new version of her, ensuring that it didn’t happen again.

You believed correctly, this is something I think about often. you can most definitely 3D print Miis! Actually finding Mii 3D models can get a little tricky, but they are out there. As far as custom plushies go, I would look on Etsy for a custom plush maker. Or you could always make one yourself (I’ve done this, but it looked bad so I never posted it). I’ve seen pictures of a really nice looking Mii Gunner plush Someone made, so it is a thing that people have done, quite well at that
