No, just a fucking splinter. I gotta hand it to him; I never saw it coming. Pure. Fucking. Genius.

You glossed oever how when Exdeath turned into a tree that was him returning to his true form, since he was a tree used to seal evil who gained sentience from the souls trapped within him. All those souls probably explain how he never stays down too.

the moment they teach you no items can't prevent permadeath. RIP Galuf

Man it's been so long since i beat the game. I couldn't remember half of the stuff that happend. But what i do remember is defeating neo exdeath with massive gil toss. I showered him to death with money. :)

Probably one of my top favorites in the game, due to it being serious while also making fun of itself. The self-awareness it has is amazing, as are the enemies and the funny moments. I also LOVE the job system here (though I've always made Lenna my physical/Galuf my mage) ... all around an amazing, fun game.

Actually, Exdeath as a tree is his original form (hence the Forest of Moore being his place of origin). And the Neo form was rather how he came to be in the first place, as the living forest had stowed away all those evil spirits inside that tree. In Laymen's terms, Exdeath is kind of like Pandora's Box in tree form. Then again, the in-game dialogue doesn't really explain this. And the best source of this is Final Fantasy Wiki, which lacks citation. Then again, this kind of story does somewhat make sense. Ghido says he came from an enchanted forest, so it would be fitting for him to become a tree as if that were his true form.

It's awesome to see the old style Final Fantasy stories. So cool--I never beat this one, but I will one day.

Not sure if it was mentioned in the comments, but Lone Wolf isn't the same Wolf that gets burned away at the Karnak Crystal, that was another visitor named Fang/Tsuze, the real Lone Wolf was actually a thief who would loot treasures at certain dungeons, he would leave a note saying he was the one who took the treasure, but only if you set him free at the castle dungeon in Walse.

My first FF!!!! oh Dear God I am old now.. I went and palyed VI and after I failed at buying the previous ones I downloaded them all from the internet... that was a pretty big thing back then ;p gotta say that I trough III felt weird... ( I know I know don't judge me) IV was really cool!! just as much as this one!

FF5 is underrated. It is my personal favorite, the plot is not a mushy soap opra like the others and the story direct. it is based more on adventure than characters, but with some emphasis on characters. and I like the characters. all of them protag, Bartz, you name him, I lie Lenna and the others too. it is told like the classic series/movies of old, no heavy syirup "reality"? like today's movies, games, ect. yeah, the airship captain is a cross-dressing female, but her weirdness is not the dominant feature of the story and is mostly in the b;ackground and is not made a big deal about so not too bothersom or PCified. unfortunately, that may change as they "remake" too much stuff and it is ruined! music rocks!

5 is my favorite main line Final Fantasy game, but is slightly beat out by Final Fantasy Tactics as my favorite Final Fantasy game!

When it comes to Final Fantasy V, the only version I have played of it is the GBA version. One thing I like about the GBA version was that it added four more job classes, those four being Cannoneer, Gladiator, Oracle, and Necromancer.

Gilgamesh is my favorite FF character :P It's also explained that many of appearances are supposed to be the same one from FFV, and Dissidia makes it more clear that Gilgamesh uses the Rift to travel between different worlds :P

I've been playing VI and IV on my Wii U on the Wii Menu. They need to hurry up and release the GBA Final Fantasy games so we could still play them. Ah the I'm gonna master all these classes so I can make my original class the best class in the game game.

FF5 on the PlayStation was junk because the long load times for the battles on the disc made the game not worth playing. FF5 was supposed to come out for the SNES here as Final Fantasy Extreme according to what I read in a Nintendo Power magazine but they spent so much time translating it that 6 had come out in Japan so they worked on that and it came out as 3 here and they cancelled FF5 or Extreme as it was to be called here. It is interesting that Square Soft released trading cards for FF5 in Japan in 1992 . Those cards were never released in the U.S. And fortunately I ordered a box of them from a store in Japan. These cards are very rare because none of my other gaming friends who like FF5 even knew these cards existed. When I meet other gamers who really like FF5 I like to give them one of the cards.

I know i have no say i still liked and subscribed.. i just wish you slowed down a bit. I want to absorb all the story and lore and i know you needed to skim through stuff for a time restraint. But yeah some of the stuff was too fast for me to keep up. I'll never have the time to play this game, obi-wan you're my only hope.
