Maybe instead of longer large rovers, they could add an XL rover to the game. That would make soil excavation op.

@@gamesforlife36 No idea. It would be hard to maneuver, but that doesn't matter when you have a drill.

I always package them up, there's no point in carrying them. And 1 graphite is cheap - you can get it from the Soil Centrifuge!

Late game is mostly travellig, opening unknown tissues in search of stranger, and collecting material for exo platform, so we need: 1)power segment, 6 rtg enough, large silo with 12 med nodes, rest for packed science nodes storage 2) storage segment with graphite and explosive powder silos (for dynamite and packagers), rest slots for medium shredder and scrap silo 3) "research" segment with exo platform 4) and "head" segment of course, soil silo, paver, t3 drill, compound silo, oxygenator, small cabin Actual build also have Qol updates like compass which make game hugely easy, so it also allow disconnect research and silo segmets while you go to activate planet core

For me it's just slightly more often than the number of times a vehicle glitched through the ground and ended up in a cave below. At one point, I had a literal parking lot down there.

@@bunker1213 I used to have issues like that a couple years ago in Astroneer. But I haven't experienced it since!

I started my save in April 2023. The trouble area is right next to my starting base and that ground has literally seen it all, including an exploding shuttle. Took me a month to figure out that my vehicles were in an undiscovered parking "garage" in a cave I had never seen. Thought I had forgotten the vehicles somewhere when them playing tired. Now it's just an extra parking area with a ramp up to the surface, because it keeps happening 😀@@gamesforlife36

I’ve built an entire scrap farm on a rover it’s fantastic, so you can go mining and get soil for the farm at the same time

Isn't the portable smelter a creative mode item only ?

No, it isn't. You can find it on abandoned rovers in the world or trade Astronium for it at the Trade Platform.

@@gamesforlife36 What I meant is that you can't craft them though - and my current world has very few abandoned rovers in the first cave level, or even in the 2nd.

I have an idea for next video the explorer rover At the first rover one drill and road maker as usual On the top at front rtg and seat On the top at back large storage silo A filled whit 2 tall storage(tall storages must have lighting) and 2 Medium Fluid & Soil Canister and 2 medium storage soil canisters must filled w soil On the second rover On the top 2 large storage red dots looks same direction as wheels On the 2 large storage there must be 1 medium storage full of packager, 1 medium storage of bomb 1 packed vtol 1 Medium Fluid & Soil Canister filled whit hydrazine and 1 vinc I leave rest of the empty spaces to your imagination also using 2 rover is much more flexible for me thats why 2 I am currently using one to explore world whitout visiting my base looking forward to next video :)
