Fellow Travel Dons I am out of my element! I am not much of a shopper however, with the return of my dear friend Skye I will be taking you on a Shopping Tour of Bar Harbor, Maine! Bar Harbor has quickly become a major tourist destination throughout the Summer. Of course one of things many like to do while on vacation is shop. So in this video we are going in depth into the many types of stores that permeate the town of Bar Harbor all while trying to stay under $100! So come along with me and my friend Skye for a shopping bonanza in this Utimate Shopping Video of Bar Harbor!!!

I’m watching this,smiling through my tears! My last trip to Bar Harbor for browsing and gift shopping was way back in 2008(ish)! It was a favorite part of our yearly trips from Connecticut to Maine. But time and circumstances caught up with us and now,all the precious people I have those special memories of are gone. Your wonderful video just touched me in so many ways! Of course,there are so many new places since I walked those streets,but I remember getting lost in Sherman’s…such fun! And your last stop at Bark Harbor got the tears going even more as I always had to board my dogs when we traveled there and I would buy them a little gift to ease my guilt! Now both those pups are gone,too.💔. Thank you,Ben and Skye,for more than you can know! Keep getting out there and making those wonderful memories! I am 70 now and my most challenging hike is out to the mailbox,but I once did the Precipice on a perfect October day so warm we only wore T-shirts (back in 1991)!😀 Now I truly enjoy traveling vicariously through folks like you who do these podcasts! Thank you so,so much!!❤️❤️

Thank you so much for coming along with us. So Bark Harbor was around that long ago? It's been crazy how much the town has changed in the 7 years I've been going up there to work.

Shopping anywhere can be stressful. Shopping in Bar Harbor can be a down right Nightmare. That's why I brought my good friend Skye along with me to showcase how to shop in Bar Harbor amidst all the crazy tourists.

This place looks really great for shopping. From the book stores, souvenirs stores, to clothing stores, to the craft stores, this place does offer many options for people looking to get some shopping done. They even have a store dedicated to just Christmas decorations. Very cool.

Bar Harbour certainly has a fantastic selection of shops. I loved the Giraffe 🦒 head Good choice with the skull earrings. Looks like a cute place too. Cannot believe a Christmas shop 😃

That's best, expert shopper :). So many things with a fixed amount, great fun watching. Loved all those items. I guess Jewel would have learned eating if I could give her such cute plates to eat. LOL

This was a fun video! Cool you gave her the goal of purchasing items at $100 or less. And that Christmas shop looks dangerous 😂. Oh and glad she didn’t get the sweater. She would’ve blown most of the $100 on that.

wow there sure are a few curiosities to buy there Ben! Such an interesting mix of things you can buy. 65 buck wind cheater as we call them here is definitely pretty steep! Thats over 100AUD! lot of fun great vid as always Mr Ben!

We travelled out to Maine last summer on a long road trip. One of our stops that we wanted to make was Bar Harbor so we could hike parts of Acadia National Park. We didn't get a chance to make it though, so that was a bummer. We ended up stopping a little south of there, but absolutely loved the vibe of Maine. We want to make it out to Bar Harbor and Acadia maybe in the next couple years, so this is a good heads up on what to expect there in town. Thanks for sharing!

@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon we first stopped by the Nubble Lighthouse in York, and then swung by York Harbor and checked out the shops and arcade there later that night. We really liked the area there. The next day we drove down to Salem, which we really liked too. Would love to spend more time out there.
