Super Smash Bros. is a franchise that everyone has heard about. Every since Smash 64 in 1999, this series has been insanely popular and has been a must have on each new generation of Nintendo hardware. But behind its fun, light-hearted tone, lies a multitude of theories, mysteries and creepy oddities that have puzzled fans for years. This video sets out to document and attempt to explain as much of these strange oddities as possible and hopefully find out the deeper meaning behind them all...

Thanks everyone who watched! I'm so happy you guys are enjoying it! Researching and writing this was a ton of fun, and I can't wait for you guys to see Part 2 when it comes out! We're trying to figure out various entries in Part 2 as we speak! To clear up any confusion, in one or two portions we mention an "original" iceberg. This is because before the original creator disappeared, and before Marsh reached out to me, he had sent me an expanded Iceberg. The one posted to Reddit was not the same as the Iceberg shown here. We had originally mentioned it, but when we shortened the intro for time, we forgot to include that information.

This video is very good but somehow only has 4k views? I think it might be due to the thumbnail. At first I glance I didn't realise it's an iceberg video, I thought it was a soundtrack video or something. Maybe if you change the thumbail to be more like other iceberg videos it'll get more views?

Also there's another reference to Kirby's title in the boxing ring stage. In Ultimate, he is called The Pink Demon, which is a reference to the pause screen description in The Arena in Kirby Planet Robobot.

The "earrape" section you were talking about is Diddy's segment in the rap. It's bass boosted and the vocals are sung very fast, making it hard to tell what the singer is saying. SSB4 is notorious for cutting a majority of the rap for unknown reasons, most famously Lanky's segment.

The Falco Kirby entry reminded of something funny that happend to me in Smash 4. I posted a screenshot of me playing blue Kirby after having copied Falco with the caption "Am I not a beautiful bird?" on the Miiverse (yeah remember that?), and that screenshot got taken down for being a spoiler and I found that extremly funny back then, and still do today.

You've probably heard this already but "Joker Victory Screen" probably refers to the unique "stage" joker uses when he wins a match. Every other character (minus Sephiroth) uses a default stage that is unplayable in smash. Joker's is different, as the whole stage is constantly spinning while also featuring those metal bendy bands. Joker actually just runs or drives in place while the stage moves around him on his victory screens. (It could also just be referring to the Final Smash variant)

For anyone who doesn’t get the joke at 55:28 (which included me for some time), I think I’ve found what it means. I know almost nothing about FNAF, and had to go on a wiki for this, so take it with a grain of salt. The “Bite of 87” as referred to in the punchline, is an incident in the game’s story where (I think) an animatronic (the exact culprit is debated) came down from the ceiling at someone, biting at them. I think it had something to do with the brain. This is not to be confused with the “Bite of 83” where a kid was put into the Freddy animatronic’s mouth, which slammed down onto the kid. The joke is that the “Bite of 83” happens, which is mistakenly referred to as the “Bite of 87” in the punchline.

That's weird about the seals thing when Japan has a gigantic problem with poaching whales and dolphin. With the Pichu/Pikachu topic, yes Brawl does have the PikaMelee goggles but Brawl Pikachu has Ash's hat which PikaPrime also had. Good theory. Great video dude 👊🏻

This may be obvious but the reason why all the other Jigglypuffs fall asleep when you use sing while the Jumbotron is focused on you is because the song she sings is broadcasted to everyone in the arena while it is focused on you making everyone (perhaps including the audience in the background) fall asleep

When you talked about Smash Spoiling other games, you forgot about the biggest offender in Xenoblade. A LOT of the first game's twists were spoiled in Smash 4.

Wait, those are supposed to be wario's nose? I've always seen them as tektites from Zelda, with the weird bouncing pattern. I also didn't even notice how they were supposed to be phallic until it was pointed it out, but that's another story.

How is Peach's panties more obscure than using Sing on Melee's Jigglypuff event? If you played Peach in Melee, which is a thing anyone will do sooner or later, you'd immediately know her panties and legs are not a black void like in the rest of the series because of her high kick attack. The sing thing on the other hand, you probably did not notice it or forgot about it, because not many people replay events, simple as that (I know I completely forgot about it). I'd say it's fitting if these entries switched place.

For what it's worth, Iceberg charts usually don't "decrease" within each tier. Generally, everything in a tier is kind of interchangeable. If you were to ask me personally, I'd say that you're probably right. However, again, I don't think the entries within each tier are really ordered much. Maybe there's a general trend down, but it's probably best to just compare the tiers.

You have to be at a specific distance from the edge. It's harder, but not impossible. In fact, I think one of the reason why Ness's yo-yo is so broken in Melee (though it's kind of weird in every game I think) is because they implemented this hanging feature. Tharja is actually pronounced exactly like it's spelled; Thar-Ja. I do totally get the confusion, though, the J in English can make like 8 different sounds depending on the context and language. But considering that Tharja and the rest of Plegia have heavy Egyptian and Persian influence aesthetically and geographically, it's a safe bet to base it around how they'd pronounce it, with two syllables with a hard J (or, the closest equivalent, a hard G, but they're close enough and also if the .gif guy gets to turn a g into a j, I get to too)
