It finally dawned on me what the problem with this fight is. They're waiting until this movie Conor's in can come out and do what it's going to do. If he fought and lost it would've been a damper on it.

Connor will never be motivated enough to warrant a deal w/ UFC for this Chandler match (even after the gruelling work to get back in fighting form, if ever he does it) bec seems HE REALLY DOESN'T WANT CHANDLER as a dance partner anymore. Why would he, when there's at least a couple of other names that will bring him more lucrative business than a Chandler match or at least make more sense for his storied career to stamp a conclusion knowing he only got 1 or 2 more fights to go. He's content using that prospective fight for press, among other things he's doing to keep his name in people's mouth. I don't think Chandler is really a draw. He has fought Dustin, Gaethje, Oliveira and Ferguson. They're all going to be in the UFC hall of fame they're all in the top 10 most exciting fighters (maybe not Tony anymore) but you can't put Chandler against these guys and then Conor and use those numbers as indicating Chandler is the draw..
