Today I show you how to create terrain in custom terrain world painter tutorial. Using worldpainter you can easily cretae custom terrain in minecraft in as little as 15 minutes as I show here. Very beginner friendly, all that is required is you installing worldpainter and just following how I do it!
Worldpainter is a very good program for making terrain, in this tutorial I also offer custom trees, brushes, and more! Support the channel by hitting like and subscribe. I will make another follow up on how to convert these to minecraft pocket edition/bedrock (MCPE) in a follow up tutorial.

To possibly save others some debugging - If you're using a non-full block as your ground material and your custom layers don't export - go into the custom layer and enable spawning on air in each schematic :D Great tutorial, I loved the pacing and keeping everything simple. Thank you so much!

Woah! Just played around with the default brushes and still was able to make something cool! I found some errors but now I know of em and can fix next project! I’ve been playing MC for 10+ years and always wanted to make terrains. My issue was I thought World Machine was the ticket and never was able to learn it 💀

I don't know if maybe this program has change a ton since I used it, but i's strange to me that you start a new world in the program. I've always created a new world in MC, force loaded chunks until I get the world as big as I want to edit, and then bring it into WorldPainter, and then I never touch the edges I loaded. If you don't do this, you get absolutely terrible terrain generation on the edges. The way you've done it, once you get to the edges, you'll get a massive wall. I also remember being able to select which chunks will actually reload, so you could keep parts of your world intact, and parts of your world will be new. For example, I have a world we've been playing in for months already. There's a big section of ocean that I would love to turn into an island. I'm trying to figure out how to get my world in, edit only that area of ocean, and have it blend seemlessly with the rest of the world once done.

There are alot of brushes you can use for cliffs. You don't necessarily have to use the brush I'm using it's just my preference. I'm pretty sure I put all the brushes I used in the video in the free patreon link

Amazing vid bro. But just a quick question, if the water level is 62 how do you get sand in the beaches bvs u said the water level should be around 30 so how do we add sand?

No but you can use a converter, it does require you to render the entire map first

Lerfing, how to edit an already existing world, everybody shows how to create a completely new world from scratch, but i already have a world and i just want to edit one part of it. I remember back in 2021 you could just choose level.dat, but now it's different.

In the description there's a free zip file that contains all the pngs. Put it in your custom brushes folder, right click on it and unzip the folder. If you're still having issues look up how to unzip files cuz maybe you're using a mac or something idk

If I drag one brush over individually it gives me the option of new world, height map, or mask. All three of them just make a giant mountain in the ocean
