April loved Jake. She was emotionally invested in him and watching him fall in love with someone else within just a few weeks must have been heartbreaking. Getting physical or emotional with someone else are both painful to see, but for me, seeing my significant other fall for someone else is much more damaging.

All the girls were so insensitive with April. They kept egging Rae to ditch Zay for Jake, with April right there... like she was chopped liver. It was toxic. And meanwhile, jake gets annoyed at april for outsourcing a partner for the three weeks... WTF. She was left with someone not at all interested or compatible with her meanwhile he's sucking it all up with Rae.

She went through his phone and then told him to move his hand from his face when talking to her. She probably reminded him of his overbearing mother. They had a good relationship at one time but she wants to get married and have kids and he wants to spend a few years enjoying his 20s and travel while he can.

I didn’t consider it Jake talking trash about April by bringing it up. I don’t think that’s what he intended to do. I think he brought it up because April tried to invalidate him and there wasn’t a need to do that… I also don’t think April is a bad guy for doing so under the circumstances.

I honestly feel like Rae doesn't like Jake in a romantic way. I feel like Rae is the type of girl if she likes you she would be with you. Jake is to available and so into her that maybe that's a turn off for her. I've seen this happen a lot. The fact that she went back to her ex and now is with a girl tells me a lot. I saw a video of April and Jake in the honeymoon phase and the way she looks at her was so lovely. But i guess as the relationship progresses feeling will either be stronger or get weaker. I don't feel like April was toxic. She admitted her wrong doing and moved on and let him be free.(that is very mature). She was very emotional on that show but i also feel like her medical issue had a lot to do with that.Jake obviously still has a connection with April or wouldn't be calling her when he had an emergency. I don't think he was expecting April to move on so quickly. I also loved the way Jake mom got April back in the show. I think there is a reason why his mom had her back. She obviously saw the good in her. She was the only parent that didn't see her kid as being perfect. She even said she wanted both to find happiness. The other parents didn't seem close to their kids significant other. They where so judgmental. Like their kids where so perfect.

I see in his eyes that he still love April. She probably make him feel GOOD even if he don’t admit that .I feel that Jake love language is physical (touches) and April's love language is compliments (words) !!but I really believe he LOVE April so much and so did April . I think Jake really want to give her everything she need but he just didn’t know how to express his feelings .. And I think April wanted that Jake “give” her words in the show . What Jake didn’t do , and I think he’s feel sorry for that .

I'm confused by what many have to say on this thread. I didn't get a feeling that he was trying to make April look bad. I don't blame anyone for anything that they did, but I understand why he said he had a problem with her dating someone outside the scope of the show. I understand why Colby's (now wife) had a problem too. But then again I understand why April and Colby felt the need to look outside the show. However, it doesn't make it right. What's the point of going on this show if you are linking up with people not within the show's parameters? They could have stayed home for that. I don't think it makes April or Colby the most horrible people ever either. It must have been very stressful for the both of them to lose two potential mates and end up in the situation they were in, while looking at their mates date other people. I think the show should have brought in some substitute couples when that happened. Hopefully the show will prepare better next time if people want to break free and propose on a whim.

As entertaining as the show was, it doesn’t make sense to convince your partner to go on a show to date other people. That’s a recipe for disaster even with the strongest of relationships. If we’re going to break up, it would be because of other reasons, not because I took you on a show and basically pushed you in the arms of another.

Actually no, he had his own separate contract so he chose to be there all by himself. He keeps blaming April to make himself feel better about wanting to lust after other women consequence free. She had no chocie in the matter because he is a grown ass man and CHOSE to be there. What could she do? Say no? And him do it anyways.

@@ruukibane301 I’m taking April at her word when she said she’s the one that took him on the show. It was her idea. Now, does that mean she is the blame for the break up? Of course not. In fact, he didn’t have to do the show at all. What I am saying is that I wouldn’t have even suggested such a show to my partner. There is enough accountabilities to go around in this situation.

Idk what u mean by managing emotions. But I like how April wasn’t sugarcoating her feelings. If she’s upset, if she’s mad, or if she’s happy and in love. The other person will know. I appreciate the honesty and think it’s better than someone who does the run around, you know

@@llohsnap1698 people who don’t like April are people who are fake themselves and think emotions mean manipulation because that’s the tactic they use for manipulating. Rae was crying a lot too but they didn’t call out her emotions because she used them to get empathy from others and those people are more familiar with that kind of tactics.

April treated him like trash the entirety of their relationship. She admitted this. She was controlling and emotionally abusive, but because Jake is more passive he just allowed it. She then brought him to the show to force him to marry her. Instead, he realized that there may be people out there who don't treat him so badly. In my opinion, he was checked out and over her as soon as he made this realization. I think the best thing happened for him. Rae was NOT his match, but neither was April. He is still VERY young. He should enjoy his freedom and continue to grow. He will be just fine. And April will be fine too!

Mm yea but she was authentic and never pretended to be someone else for the camera. You could tell jake is a manipulative walking red flag. The second he had a chance to talk to another woman he immediately was bad mouthing April like he hated her, gaslighted her, and blamed her for everything. Yeah she could be over the top but she was 💯

Showing emotions doesn't always mean your an emotional wreck all the time, some people are just naturally more emotional compared to others. On the contrary, I think April has more of an EQ, she expresses how she feels and process them. If you notice in the show, she admitted that she was probably too controlling and unappreciative of Jake, processing her emotions made her realize that she was wrong and wanted to change and fix things with Jake, unfortunately Jake had other plans hahaha! If she was just crying and balling her eyes out without realizing that she needed to change then that is being emotional wreck. We all know how difficult it is to admit we are wrong, but she did it in the show, that is why she has more fans. She showed genuine love for her partner.
